Folks, sorry for asking this, but could someone link me up to a thread containing bio commands? I can't seem to find it. It's either well hidden from a search tool and a human eye, or there's something wrong with me.
All I remember is f_bio /a to add a line, or something like that. Thanks.

Just type f_bio ? on the shout channel in-game, it'll give you a command listing in the combat window. :)

Thanks for your reply, Selmak, but typing in "f_bio" in the shout channel returns:
Quote:
Updating your bio: Invalid command!

PS. Scratch that. I didn't notice the question mark. :) It's all working well now. Thanks. :)

PPS. Is there a way to write the current bio to disk (txt file)?

The original bio you wrote when you made it is forever saved as part of the character file. You can revert to it any time with one of those commands.

If you want to save that original bio, short of copying it out, the only way I know is to download your character to your localvault folder (Top right option after pressing escape), then open it up with Leto and copy/paste it into a txt file. If youve overwritten it already before, I dont know of any way to get at that text, again, short of copying it out.

Btw, these commands are listed under the "Additions to standard NWN" part of the journal.

Thanks -Cloak-and-Dagger-. I wrote down my bio manually. But I'll use your tip in the future and that you can be sure of. :) Great tip.

If you have NWN open at the same time as Notepad, you can copy the line you want and then paste it in after the f_bio A or f_bio N command that you have typed in. Just remember there's a character limit in NWN's buffer so you can get cut off if your line is too long.

During bio modification I find it very helpful to set up a text macro on the first quickbar with /s f_bio B as the command, to get those linebreaks done quickly.

Throw a few paragraphs in your bio and you can see where it breaks up the lines.
Then, you can just put those in their own f_bio A line and it goes together seamlessly, and you can visually avoid the character limit. :D
You can even set up your text window to the same size as the IG bio window, so you can see pretty much exactly how it will appear in the bio as you type.

All of the commands can be found by opening your Journal (hotkey J) and looking under the Character Maintenance tab.
