Well, wasn't really planning to start with that soon. The more I add the harder it will be to revert. Doesn't matter, I have plenty of non-HAK stuff to do, especially with the new toys Terra is churning out.

I keep logs of people loging in/out and I want to see the impact over a few weeks. I am a bit worried about new people.

Ahem. I downloaded the self intstaller...and it's not there. I saved the file to my desktop, to unzip and move myself, and it's not there.

I have no tlk file, and when I make one, all the script in the game itself is gone. So, even if I manage to download this hak, I have no idea how to go about actually making it work.

...Help?

Can't speak for the self-installer, but the 7-zip version of the hak works fine. All you need to to is unzip the whole of it into your "NWN" directory

Where does one post bugs with the hak?

The one I've noticed is that when you use the BoT to change circle vs alignment to chaos/lawful, the circle vs chaotic makes a vertical implosion animation over all those affected. Which, while cool, is hard to look at for very long

Screenshots with the PrntScrn don't work anymore on A since the hak. Thats a minor issue but it annoyed me right now since I wanted to screeny something crucial and didn't even notice the hak was in place.

There goes my screenshot of three ogrillions/orcs in Cordor East with the subtitle: "True beauty in Cordor East".

Urr ... start again. You downloaded the self-installer. What do you mean with "it's not there"? If you can't find it you must have downloaded it to some other place than your desktop. You don't need to make a tlk folder when you ue the self-installer, btw, it does everything for you... if you can find it..

Just directly into the main directory? Or into their respective folders?

The hak in the hak folder and the tlk in the tlk folder.

Into their respective folders. Just breath in and out for a moment and take the time to read the page about installing. It's not that hard, but don't try to do it in 1.5 seconds.

No no, I did. But I can't make a new tlk folder without it corrupting my current tlk files. Missing dialogue text and the script on all buttons. And, after reading up on it, the Bioware fix doesn't work either.

Let's go back a few steps. You first of all close NWN. You download the archive. Extract it somewhere.

You should get two folders: one called hak and one called tlk. Right?

OK. In the hak folder you see these files: amia_a.hak, amia_b.hak, amia_c.hak and amia_d.hak. You copy those files into the /hak/ directory in your NWN directory.

Look around in yoru NWN folder and check if you got a /tlk/ folder there. If not, make one. You also have a tlk/ folder in your zip. Open that one and copy the amia_tlk.tlk file from the zip to teh NWN/tlk folder.

None whatsoever. For some reason, when I created my own tlk folder in the NWN directory, it corrupted my tlk files. But moving Disco's already made one seemed to work just fine.

So...I have no idea >.>

Well, I just saw I made a major mistake in the amia_a.hak file, so I guess we'll need to fix that. Luckily it isn't a big download.

Just remember, it could still be several months before you can actually use any of the content. Disco has said that he won't be showing it all in at once, incase things don't work out. So playerside additions probably are still quite a while away. May see tilesets and monsters however, as I imagine after all this his head would explode if he didn't get to use them.

Are you going to post it up as a separate link when you do fix it?

I'd also suggest adding the hak to the 'downloads' section on the sidebar, or change the 'downloads' to 'Amia Overrides'

Amia Hak is right on the Sidebar under About Amia. All the download links are there.

i bet this is due to the haks. on B in the area Alamber sea: sea bottom, there is a huge map glitch. it only started after the hak. basically all the tiles are raised or lowered in impossible ways and the normal area transition to the wreck is displaced and also the spawns are obviously displaced. reloading the area didnt fix
ill also put this in the bugs section

Hence why I suggested renaming the misleading 'downloads' section as 'Amia Overrides'.

The HAK isn't on Amia yet. So it's not the HAK.

Okay, I can't be the first to have trouble getting this tlk. and hak. thingy to work. I installed them and extracted them to their given folders (Hak.) (Tlk.) When I tried to log in, it still tells me, missing custom tlk. table. Any suggestions?

Go check your hak and tlk folders again. Make sure it didn't make a second subdirectory. That's normally the issue.

Assuming you're not using the installer, the easiest way to make sure the files are extracted correctly is to manually drag them into the directory.

The tileset glitches are indeed the haks. The desert tileset has been expanded and some of the groups/features have been scrambled up a bit from their default positions giving these weird tileset glitches in some spots.

Easier terms. The hak made those glitchy hills take the ships spot and moved the ship to something else we don't use yet.

There may be other situations similar to this on other tilesets that have been expanded or replaced by the haks.

[Edit] Should also have mentioned is should not be hard to fix. We'll just need to go to those tilesets and replace the ships properly.

I uploaded a fixed module, didn't change the numbering. It should fix the "chopped dunes that used to be chopped ships" and "buildings in water that used to be ships" issues. I'll see if any new bugs come in and upload a fixed amia_a.hak tomorrow thet will address the VFX and some other issues.

Is it just me, or do dire rats (malarite wererats specifically) look a little strange? It's like the model is bloated or something, the texture looks kinda stretched. Also, the red glow that normally appears when holding TAB doesn't show up around them.

I'm puttin' this here since it started after I installed the hak.

The red glow is indeed a HAK bug... not sure about the rats, though. You mean the ones that really look like dire rats?

You didnt put periods after hak or tlk in the folder names, did you? They should just be called "/hak" and "/tlk" (no quotes). The amia_a.hak (as well as b-d) go in /hak and the .tlk file in /tlk.
