Oh shush, you. It's the ONLY thing that resembles a mask of any kind that I've found. And masks are the essence of one of my character's that IC wears one more often than not for the past 3.5 years of playing Johanna. (but the model heads and helmets don't allow that for me)

Sure, we'll just wear general grievous's faceplate... that has been decorated for christmas this year.
All joking aside.. was that really all you were able to find mask wise?

Nah, I never did the hak thing. Could have sworn that there was an awesome 'rogues hood' somewhere override wise.

Heh, all I know is that the world of Amia would be a better place if Rangers, Rogues, Mercenaries, and even mages can hide their faces with a decent looking hood instead of the bulky helms Bioware provides.

Emptyquoting this all over the place. A shadowed hood would literally make my day.

It's been mentioned several times already. The cool CEP hood is included in the HAK.

Ive talked to quite a few people online who have played here for years and didnt know about the HAKs O.O ...
Maybe someone could add signs in entry saying "yo noob check out the forums cause we r going HAKz" or something? Maybe a shout in game?
Some people just dont bother with the forums. I must admit.. I never did either until recently. The only reason I even have an account because I needed to see DC costs ^^

BloodNAshes wrote: I voted for "do as you see fit" but if you do decide to cap the MB limit on the hak then I strongly agree with Torzeng about limiting it to Tilesets primarily and PLCs secondarily with aything else being tertiary if including at all. When I saw all the tilesets added with each expansion and then with the 1.69 patch it almost felt like a sequel to me and they add far more in terms of the world, and for everyone, than something I personally wouldn't even notice much like clothing options. If you're against the Sims mentality here too, I'd be further wary of adding more dress-up options, although if you were to replace or perhaps add some old styles for more realistic armors I'd be for that (like 1.69 did). Most importantly to me, however, is that there's some great racial-themed area tilesets out there though like: Dwarven Halls: http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=14020Rocky Mountains (Dwarven Stronghold): http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=10928Elven City Tileset: http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=14722Wooden Elven Interiors: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=6662Hobbit Hovel: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=1406Hobbit Fences and Chimneys: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=1405..which I'd love to see implemented over other things to really give each race more distinct cultural feel and style.
I'm on the side of "no haks please" but these ....dear gods these just make the soul sing. Also Mahtan's linked images of tree top bridges and platforms that did not take you away from the main body of people below or look out into unbroken darkness?
Marvelous. Stupendous. Utterly fantastic without inhibition.
However I am of the thought that some here seem to be glossing over the concerned comments left by Godo and a few others who are simply cautious about the haks being implemented and deterrents to new players. Things which are RP oriented over 'glossy shinies' do seem a valid concern to bring Amia out of the label of 'adventuring hack and slash' which it seems to be earning.
To be certain if I continue posting in NWC forums for games, I'll be linking the hak for connection details and hoping any new players won't deem it as 'too much hassle' for joining.
We've had previous threads from no less than a month or more ago which were begging for the input of new players as to what it was about Amia that drew them and kept them here. Godo is a relatively new player still, as are others who've commented so it is hoped their words are simply taken as they've been given. Friendly suggestions. Even existing players have all said almost to a one "If Amia had had haks before I came here, I wouldn't have joined."
Frankly I'm one of that particular grouping but you can thank the server I started on which seemed to update their haks almost hourly some days. Needless to say they're all but dead. A giant playground populated mostly by the DM team if then.
Cautious isn't so bad really but hopefully word of mouth will keep it on going and yes please for a back up copy if it proves to drop the numbers rather than bringing them up. I can't say I fully trust the DM team but I can say that some seem to be on the ball server-wise.
To answer the unspoken, I'm here for the RP and players, DMs are a sidenote to that enjoyment.

As the server's leading expert on Psionics, Psionics should absolutely never be added to Amia ever because they are the most broken magic system in 3.0/3,5 DnD bar NONE. You would destroy balance for ever ever ever ever, and we'd have like a bunch of classes only accessible by special request as well.

I did. At least it would give us a valid reason to play in our own little worlds.
But yeah on the "no" to psionics. Can't impliment them and do right by them without completely breaking balance, seeing as spellresitance and power resistance are seperate things. Better to leave it to the realm of special request and scripted widgets. *nod*

And OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG Psionics! http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=5714Now I know that it's been said "No more helms". But some of those helms your adding to the hak pack are ugly as hell Disco. I mean really ugly. I wouldn't have any of my PC's caught dead wearing them because how plain bad they look. Helmet Hak 2 specfically is terrible. May I suggest these ones instead? http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=6356
Project Q is very nice, but it's aimed at upgrading the standard game. I'd not suggest anyone to add it to an existing custom module, and to be honest: I am not really sure if it's entirely suitable of a multiplayer server at all. I did rip a few items out of the pack.
I also took a lot of stuff out of CEP, including helmets.

Ah cool. I was a little worried that Helm Hak 2 was seriously in a "Limited" number of helms being added, and things such as the helms I suggested where being disincluded in favor of them.

Ah, so it's just rather a complete lack of decent crossbows on the server then?

Ah, that may be Gal's crossbows. I admit a lack of having checked in the new underdark.

There are very few crossbows in the accesible surface areas, that is true. I had to mythal craft mine from the scratch to be half decent with +3 AB, Mighty, 1d8 massive crits. Might very well be that the special rogue shops have awesome ones, but for everyone that are not rogues, including me, there are none decent aviable in the more common surface settlements. Good bolts are few as well, though there are some rather good ones at B surface.

Surprised you have just looked at CEP updates as a whole.
There is a few feature for keeping updated on it as well. Once you have one CEP version in and the CEP Updater dos program.. follow directions and it does it all for you. Its really quick once you done it the 1st time.
Alot of the new things that are listed are in the CEP approved and all cleaned of cross scripting errors. Personal scripting might be an issue.
Other thing the CEP does not use the Override folder once ran. So all you need in the override is the hand/feet and 2da soundset. Alot of kickin' head options in the CEP beyond the clothing. Also, weapon designs.
TSM (yes another RP server) Has a separate room with models and a menu so you can head in there to check your Character to reselect heads, hair, skin and tattoos. However it is level restricted in enter.. Or DM can teleport you in if need be.
Its big it also has alot of new looks for creatures too! The dragons.. wow! Different look trolls.. I build on the siee using it.
Anyways I say go big and that way you have everything you could want and keep up to date. Just post to folks "UPDATE CEP" then one just goes into the Nwn Folder and hit the CEP Updater. Does it all for you. So everyone is on the same page at once. Otherwise, invisible creature can kill you >.>
This is just my thoughts to the matter.
itty
PS.. the fashion accessories.. Can get umbrellas! yellow sun or big ones for rain!

I'd prefer a 'Turn off the rain' lever.

I'd prefer you go and use all those funky inns for their intended pupose rather than standing in the rain. Superflous crap I shall not be a fan of, nor a party to.

It's done as mage staves, as far as I remember, and interferes with the weapon hak I used.

Anyway, after a lot of swearing and hair tearing I found out that I need to spread the contents of the hak over two files. I now got a big 50 MB file and a smaller one of about 15 MB. That's actually quite handy because the stuff in he 15 MB file might get updates (they are two recently created tilesets).
