I took the scriber's job but when I try ds_j name or ds_j bio it says:
"Error: Can't find nearby Clerk's desk."
There is no Scriber's desk. Only research desk.

There are scribe desks around. Libraries have them, I think.

I thought so but there isn't. I went to the cordor library and the library of shadowdancers academy, I looked trough whole Kohlingen but there is not scribers desk. There are only reshearch desks in libraries.

I agree really......Cordor Library is maybe a bit cramped already, but I was surprised there wasn't one in The Great Library at the Triumvir. I got to agree, there would seem to be a good case for having one somewhere in Kohlingen too.

Folks, I think the system itself is rather finished now. There are a few bugs left, which will be fixed sooner or later, but the general idea is clear. I think I'll lower the XP you get from farming slightly, and increase the XP for some other jobs (trapping elementals comes to mind). That said, it's time to remove the Penguin, and I think I'll do that after the weekend.
So, make sure you choose your final layout of jobs now. After a few days you'll have to beg a DM to reset you.
One hint: from now on we'll ask for building materials if you want some IC building renovated or a new construction being built.

Pigeon can also referred to as a Pig in this context.

I suggest that you allow scribers to write more words in bio of some item. This way you will allow the players to write their own books and that will make the Amia much more fun place for RPing. If this is possible I beg you to do it.

Awesome idead. I love the book idea. Howeverwe do have a forum that kinda works like that.
Ticket: You are right however, renaming items is still kind of cool. Id like Karvo's weaponed renamed. Really Rusty Bashing Stick

yes but you can write only on the items created by job system. and as brown blur said you can write over any item with minor mythal so leting this happen would not do any harm. It will only make the whole game more fun.
Just imagine writing your own advantures, notes, impressions, lists, recipies etc. I think that this would be very fun.
PS can anyone explain me how do I make empty books? I have read the job description but it does not say how much of empty pages goes with cotton.

When will the jobs be reset, again?
I got one for Daniel that I am not sure I will keep. So, it will be good if I can "erase" that one.
I also got on for Rizzen for testing (though I didn't get a task from that yet), but I am not sure I am going to keep.

I think the DC for renaming is only about 7, so you got a better than 50/50 chance even with no skill.

you can erase your job by visiting "The job eating penguin" on the spawn area at Amia B. Although you cannot choose what job you want to erase. the penguein has no mercy. he will eat your whole job log.

I'll add something that allows you to append an existing bio with a new paragraph.

Actually, as a thought;
You could do Bio re-writing, just have the script that does it do a check for the terms "OOC", "ooc", "Ooc", "//", or "(("; as these will denote anything that has an OOC note or restriction.
In those cases, make it additive.
