I've a LG Hin of Arvoreen Cleric (battle priest). Spells didn't work. So I went to the idol. Tried the spell again and got the same effect. It's a level 3 so there really shouldn't be an issue here. Cleric is perfect alignment to Arvoreen.

Another issue happened with a Sheela cleric (caster). Only this one was an LN. So only one alignment away from her deity. Same level, same issue. Went to the idol, bound her to my cleric. Still got spell failures.

Hola, might be a stupid question, but did you relog?

Edit: Took a look at your pcs, you'll have to swap the domains you took for the appropriate ones for your respective deities. (see here: http://www.amiaworld.net/about/deities.php for the list) That would be why it didn't work. You can do that in the Domaintenance room accessible from the entry room.

As a side note, I've found that you have to use the Domaintenance to pick the domains even if you picked two domains supported by your deity at creation.

Just a theory, but I think that has more to do with the fact that you are getting booted when you do that, which somehow seems to occasionally fix things.
