*looks around* Where are you hiding? I just asked this IG!

And no, they're just able to do other things while they level.

But yes, it's certainly viable. Jobs like Market Gardener or Painter, while a lot of people have them, give relaxed XP rates.
If you find yourself making a lot of money, then investing in a process job like Sawyer, Smithy and the like is much faster XP if you find someone to sell you the resources in bulk.

Painting is only less XP due to some sort of enforced downtime, right? As opposed to a craft-based profession that can pump out as much as he has the materials for?
Ask a DMIG, as long as it's not something like asking your Half-Orc to have the Dragon's head.

Are there any +5 AC and +3 Wisdom boots? I've seen a pair for every other ability except Wisdom.

Are we allowed to use 3.0 edition variants of spells?
In particular, 3.0 Awaken Undead and 3.5 Awaken Undead. The difference of note is the former can be cast by a cleric, the latter can't be.
You're allowed to cast whatever PnP spell you get permission for from all players and DMs involved. I would think that as long as you give them the full disclosure that you're reading an obsolete version of the spell, you're probably still ok. NWN is technically still (sort of) based on 3rd Ed rules, after all. That's just an opinion, obviously, but I don't know of any existing rule to contradict it.

Has anyone ever primarily leveled off of job skills? A majority of the 30 levels, I mean.
Do these people get medals?
I have a character I'm trying to level entirely from the job system and spent DCs. It's going... slowly.
I leveled a character entirely off Market Gardener. Just plopped down, farmed things and read books while clicking a plant every 2 minutes. It was great, and took about a week.

Recommended is the one job your character would have IC. If that's Orcharder that's just fine.

Whatever you take, just make sure it allows for farming (if you want to use it for progress/income). I took Undertaker because I thought I could farm as many corpses as I could carry, and then bury them (or sell them on the black market!) but it turns out I can't do anything until I've buried the corpse I got. So I pretty much have to run up to a graveyard, spending ages moving between areas. Moving from one place to another to complete your task, and not being able to stack them, is probably the crucial question here.
I felt Miner was a pretty good job. It pays well, but you do have to move between deposits to powerfarm them. Which is easy in a mine, but doesn't let you read a book. Trapper probably ain't bad either, in addition to what Dead listed. In the production/manual labor category, there are quite a few viable full-time jobs. More sophisticated adventurers get the short end of the stick in terms of XP/gold, though their products tend to be cool.

Herbalist is one of the most xp efficient ones. You do not only have the gathering ability (which gives you good xp after farming 2 certain areas), but also the crafting ability. You can immediately use many of the ingredients you gathered to brew healing potions, potions of restoration and the like. And you do so with the same level of job points as you do your gathering.
Many jobs simply do not allow leveling in any meaningful manner. So if you want an alternative to hunting or dream coin leveling, I would pick one of these:
Some of these being better than others. Some being dependend on the npc trade merchant stores. But these are the ones I feel are the selection that provide you with the means to get a few levels next to hunting. If you have a friend leveling with you, it is best to partner with jobs that contribute to one another. Lumberjack - Sawyer - Carpenter for example. That is ideal, and basically the way the job system was intended to work.
Before Of course you'll probably be rolling +12 con gear before level 20.

Are there different considerations that go into deciding whether or not a request is accepted as a DC rebuild or a selfer? Like, if if a character was dropping an entire martial class and picking up another, would they be forced to self-it?
Yes there are; this was answered elsewhere!

This is going to come off as a very weird question but:
What region of Faerun would likely be the best to create a Native American type character? For reference, probably would be druid to represent a shaman-like Native American.
I can't think of any specific region that would make more sense than another.

Humans of The Shaar is largely inspired by "Plains Indians" if I recall rightly. I believe they're in Shining South, but I don't have time to check my books at the moment!
If you want Central/South American Native: Maztica.
if you want more northern, arctic North American Native, Inuit and Yupik themed: the Sossrim of Sossal and the other places of The Great Glacier.
Those are what I can think of off the top of my head, there might be other likely options. A lot of barbarian tribes and areas, while not particular Native American themed, would still work really well for that kind of concept. Rasheman, especially! (Although why a Rashemi shaman would leave their homeland and its land magic is another story.)
If you're referring to Place Magic, I happen to know a lot.
Short version: The Witches of Rashemen, AKA the Wychalarn, are the only wielders of Place Magic with few exceptions, and it only works in Rashemen (again, with few exceptions). It works because of spirits in the land - that is, any tree, a field, a mountain, a river, everything has an associated spirit or "telthor". Now, it's unclear whether the spirits of Rashemen have always been awake (unlike the rest of Faerun) or if the original Raumviran order of witches awakened them when they gained power in Rashemen, but it is implied that Place Magic users can awaken land spirits. Now, how it works is that Hathrans (fully-trained witches of Rashemen) draw energy from these land spirits and use it to manipulate the Weave without the limitations of having to prepare it, either the divine or arcane method (witches use both). So, basically spontaneous casting from whatever spell lists they have (although a later version of the Hathran gives them x/day free spontaneous castings even outside of Rashemen. They always use the appropriate spell slot however). This only works with the awakened land spirits of Rashemen, not just anywhere - in theory, the witches could awaken the spirits of other lands, but they typically don't. However... Durthans do. Durthans are the rebellious extremists of the Hathrans, usually disgraced ex-members. They're almost always loyal to the country, but work against the Wychalarn's rule. They're known to venture around outside of Rashemen, awakening hostile land spirits to use against the enemies of their people (Thay, Narfell(?), etc).
Rashemen is a place in the Unapproachable East (incidentally the name of the 3rd ed sourcebook) of Faerun, it's a lot like medieval Russia apparently. They're famous for their berserkers, who train in lodges, and the witches, who I've described above. I can tell you more, but I don't know how much you want to know about it.
If I want to put an IC auction notice up, behind the racially locked doors to Barak Runedar's Citadel, would that go in the PC Auction or Barak Runedar subforum?
For example, you're out adventuring and you and your party members die and all of you respawn? Who brought us back to life? How did we end up so far away from the place we died at? Did our patron god bring us back and if so, what about Faithless or followers of Ao?
I couldn't find any info about this on the forum. Should this maybe go in a separate thread?
That one, I have no answer for. Respawning back to where you got killed from is explicable IC; respawning back to your home bind point just isn't. There's no IC justification for it that isn't preposterous or cheesy or both. Just handwave it away as an artifact of playing a video game, and move on.

How would you explain respawning to the place of death then? If the entire party is dead, who brought us back and how many times could you come back before it starts being ridiculous?
And on this specific occasion, it was the first death, so there was no choice where you want to respawn.
