Here is a general question for the playerbase: are there any particular rulesets or details that we have on the forums that you find yourself regularly having to minimize/ignore the game for in order to look them up in detail? PvP Engagement rules, chat command details, assassination rules, metagaming specifics, etc. Maybe something you'd find handy to be spelled out in your IG journal without having to keep looking on the forum?

To be honest the only thing i ever found myself minimizing nwn for, on the detail spectrum, is clothes and armor colors for when I was doing armor modifications.
And thats really not something that can be simplified into the game unless the color crafting menu is totally reworked
total spitball with zero forethought
First menu list would be the base colors, eg reds, yellows, oranges, blues, greens, metallics... after that would be another submenu that lists associated colors. I think there are something like 300 colors in the module though, and menu depth is 10?

Personally I prefer the 'scroll through' mode - but that's cos I tend not to have a palette in mind. I also have it hardwired in my brain that 64 is blackholeblack.

Actually, that's Dark Rose. Pure Black is 63.

(Yes, I use Craft too much.)

Except chat commands and etc, I've never had to minimize or tab to the forums to check for a rule. But there are the ocassions in which I have to bring something out in a link to an IC post or something in the lore section.
Please put the PvP rules in game, so that the incredibly huge number of players who are unaware of how they work can have a read, and maybe learn something. Might lead to less crying OOC when someone starts a fight, and loses, and needs to try and resort to OOC to get over it.

What good would the chat commands do posted in the entry when most people use them IG and not in the Entry, thus making them more feasibly placed either as they are now, being able to be pulled up by typing a few keystrokes into the field, or in the journal that follows you everywhere?
Rule of thumb. I only beat women with sticks smaller than my thumb. Luckily I have big thumbs.
Chaotic Loot and Don't be a Dick. ^^ Favorite rules.

It's too much info for one journal entry. However the rules entries will be titled differently and colored differently so as to "stick out" above the regular completed entries.
Roleplay comes before hunting. If you have a paladin who spots an undead in the party ahead you approach them. talk to them, if it comes to PvP and you happen to win, just move on to another dungeon and don't take theirs. Simple!
Exactly this. We are not going to have 'who is better at PvP' be the decider in who has claim to a dungeon. If you are there first, you have claim. PvP and hostile situations don't mean another person can take claim to the dungeon you and your group are in. Coming into a dungeon already claimed, PvPing the party in there and then taking their claim is against the server rules, and that isn't changing. The exception to this is, of course, if -both- parties agree that the claim can be decided by PvP, and then do so (following all PvP rules and with suitable RP).
this is from the general discussion thread titled this has to stop. not sure if it helps.

I don't think there IS a ruling on the forums about it, but... Grapple.
The ruling given in the Unwritten Rules thread is that there is no special rule regarding grappling. It's a PnP roll just like any other, usable only by consent of the target, and not subject to any special authority.

It's not PnP because it's mechanically implemented in the game. It is however a dice roll, so it is subject to player/DM permission for that instead!
