CoT spiffies worth the loss of rogue skill dump or fighter EWS damage?

No to rogue, yes to fighter imho... I like the extra saves, though as a pally you wont be hurting for them. It feels more rp(ie) to me to have CoT. If you do go CoT vs Fighter... Take 6 levels of CoT or dont. The 6 damage doesnt seem all that noticeable when you are running with 50+ab all day long and tons of saves.
Others are damage whores and will curse me for it of course. Its personal taste.

I'd rather go 23/4/3 or 25/4/1 or 23/6/1 than 24/4/2. DerkDerkistan wrote: No RDD, though there's a possibility of 2 Palemaster levels. Well, a likelihood. He is a Death Singer, after all. Is it worth taking the SD levels on this server for the Epic Shadowlord?

• Duration is doubled • DEX +6 • Regeneration +2 • Spell Resistance = 5 + Shadowdancer's Level
seams a good investment, however does this mean you need 21 SD levels?
ed: which would give you at least 26 SR O_o

Yes, is that based off of the "normal" Epic Shadowlord, or has it been modified?
And no, unless something has been changed, you need 13 SD levels to get it, since you need to take the feat on an SD bonus feat. If I'm remembering correctly at least.
Also, you can't take more than 20 SD levels on a 30 cap, and I'm pretty sure the SR is only applied to the Summon, and not yourself. =P

Do you "get" this regen after you control the fey? Or does the fey actually give you regen? There is a bug that revolves around your familiar when you possess/unpossess it. Sometimes it will show you with the buffs it had, though you don't actually get them. ((Though I know this server is modded, so it's possible it does give you regen.))
You can't take more than 10 levels in prestige classes, until you're over level 20. This is due to 11th level being considered "Epic". So the SD level cap remains at 20.

could be that, but it was healing without the fever necklace so I assume it does regen you aswell. maybe its a bug i'm not sure.
right prestige classes -_- *facepalm* that explains that one, so, max 25 SR.

You may get the icons saying you have those effects, but you don't. Also, you can only take 10 of any PrC pre-epic, so you can only get to 20 SD, no matter how early you take the first level of it. Eh, I was not paying attention that the issues were answered a half hour or so ago already. Anyway, yes. He and I are correct.

talking about bows, what do you do when your a dex build, since mighty channels strength not dex, and also does finesse do anything for bows/mighty ?

Finesse only works for melee weapons since ranged weapons are always working off dexterity, except when you take Zen Archery, then it's wisdom.
Strength based bow wielders always suffer from a mediocre AB due to that. Arcane Archer levels counters it a little bit, but you will never get the AB that a dex based will get.

This is going to probably sound odd, and or stupid but:
Can anyone offer thoughts on a reasonable Monk/Wizard or Monk/Sorceror build? Race not nescessarily dependant but to be safe leaning towards human.

Add 4 levels of fighter or CoT, take a number of sorc or wizard levels that gives you your favourite buffs and start hitting stuff.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd say Mage more then Martial artist but I would still like enough in there to say he's more then just some Mage that picked up a few techniques at a Monestary.

My first guess would be Wiz24/Monk6 or 23/6/Rogue1 for the UMD cheese. Tenser's Transform might work well there, but I haven't looked closely at it since it got buffed.

I have a rogue-archer that I'm fooling with, and trying to work out his skills.
He's currently at: Disable Trap 25(29), Discipline 33(33), Hide 32(51), Move Silently 32(43), Open Lock 15(24), Search 29(31), Set Trap 29(40), Spot 32(41), Tumble 30(39), UMD 31(30)
Do I *need* max'd set trap/Disable trap? Or suggestions on fooling with any other skill in there. I want to find a way to work in craft weapon and/or craft trap as well.. But I can't figure out the best way to go about it.

why you need discipline on a rouge archer? you shouldn't be getting hit with knockdown. and if you do, tumble, run, roll, dodge, etc.
personally I would increase open lock aswell, and maybe drop UMD and buff with items later if needs be. depends on the RP.

UMD is good as it is... 25/30 for every chap unless you're full epic'd out. They look pretty good, Disable trap is great. Set trap is better. Max that, you can buff the other one with gear, normally disabling traps isnt done in combat.
Set trap with epic dodge and maxed hide/ms is nifty to have in combat.. If you can drop epics on the floor in a fight its cute....
Whats the build going to be?
