As a team, we do not relish forcing 'no contact" orders and I'd hope you understood we only do so in the most extreme of cases. He did not.

We have absolute proof that he created frightening, personally bent characters in the victim's account while taking advantage of the master server being down. We have absolute proof that he's circumvented bans to keep contacting this player and that he's creating wild, outlandish stories about why.

He is an extraordinarily manipulative individual, and he's been picking around for the victim's current information. Even the people that brought this to my attention mention how convincing he can be, so please.

Do not give him any information on players here. If he asks you for information, please send it to me. If you willingly give him information, you need to be removed. His excuse is that he's trying to find out if she's hacking the server he plays on now, asking for her log in and GSID, things we are fully capable of discovering and delivering if it were the case.

In short, do not volunteer him any information. At all.

This got put into Offtopic, but I know a lot of folks don't read Offtopic and might miss it among the spam. I have reposted it here.

Also as I added in OT, if you've been asked for information, or even given it to him pre this statement, please let me know. Thanks so much guys.

If this asshole in a tophat is so manipulative what is to stop him from using alternative id's to continually fish for information? And how is the playerbase to know it is this fellow are you keeping an active rapsheet going where we can share information on who to avoid like the plague?

As I have a lot of knowledge about that matter, being a semi-close friend of the victim, I just wanted to reinforce the fact that yes this is certainly true and Lally is in no way being over-dramatic about this. There is not much I can say, as anyone reading Lally's post can get a concrete idea of what is going on, so all I can really add is that yes, the perpetrator is very sick individual.

That is more sketchy, but I would say that you are being asked information about someone, use some common sense. Even over the internet, you can get a very creepy feeling about things that are said/asked (I've had that happen before). When in doubt, direct the person asking to the player instead. It's really not hard to get in contact with people after all. Along with that, I would guess that the DMs would not hold you accountable if you get blindsided with a faked MSN or whatever name and get fished for info since you have no way of knowing. But, I'd let a DM chime in and rule on that matter.

Unfortunately, without releasing the victim's identity it would be nigh-impossible to make everyone aware of exactly what to look for. And I would strongly advise to not do that, as I'm sure Lally and the DMs already know *but this applies to players who know of this like I do), because you never know what can of worms that would open.

I just want to add that I hope no one thinks I am overstepping my bounds. I am being intentionally vague in some areas for the safety of the victim, and obviously the DM team has the final ruling on anything said here, and on any advice I have given.
Also, posted in both threads just so everyone happens to see it. To the DMs: I will gladly rescind the post if you want me to.

Mine too Svensk, but when you start harrassing other friends of mine, you tend to lose the right to friendship. Especially after the things i have heard him doing.

I don't want to turn either topic into a flame thread. It is what it is, and that's all. The sooner we can just put it to rest, the better.

I saw this case escalate at the beginning but I never thought it would get this bad.

We warned the poor fellow not to get IC and OOC feelings mixed up.

Agreed whole-heartedly Lally. I hope every can be civil about this. It's just fair warning to the community about what is happening, after all.

Enthusiastic support. I'm basically terrified of this sort of thing happening to me, so I have no problem whatsoever with coming down on offenders like a bag of hammers. The instant someone gets told to back off and refuses, he's crossed a line beyond which he's forfeited any right to being thought of with respect.

I actually wholly agree with Tormak, I actually more then agree, because this happened to a friend of mine.

Accept he actually went to her house, and I, nor any of her friends ever heard from her again.

I disapprove of this message. Svensk is not to blame for his/our friends' inability to keep gaming and real life separate.

Guys, this is not an opinion thread. This is not up for discussion, debate, or deliberation. This is a person who had a lot of friends here, and who took a very unstable turn. His friends are not to be blamed. They had no idea.

Do not make me regret trusting you with this information.
