You don't. You use irfanview to view them or convert them to a format you can upload to an imagehosting site.

Open your .tga from the NWN screenshotfolder with irfanview, go to "Image" - "Resize" or let imageshack handle that. Then save as: jpeg. Go to imageshack.com and select your images, here you can let IS resize them if you want to make them more screen friendly, or use the thumbnail link later. Once uploaded, either direct link the picture (need to be registered at IS) or the thumbnail. Voila.

Depends on what the screenshot is for GIF is often better than JPG. GIF doesn't get that nasty fuzziness JPGs get, but you lose out on colour depth. If it's a pretty 'picture' screen like the one you posted, JPG is better since it keeps the colours, but if you are just screening for text, GIF is better since JPG and text don't mix so well.

Use png. Also use [img] for your screenshots, not [url]. Otherwise you'll get a link to a picture instead of the picture itself.

If you're not registered at imageshack you can not direct link to the picture.

PNG love. Also, I am really surprised at the amount of people who can't do this. Also also, I suggest Paint.NET. It's awesome.

Paint doesn't give you .jpg quality options and such. And easy cropping etc.

It's easy enough to use, and does what i need it to do. No need for any random advanced options just for simply posting a picture. It's readable, it's good enough quality, and i can easily delete the parts of the picture i don't need.

I don't think it's at all harder to use, just has a lot more functionality.
