Hey all I am a new player just making my introduction. I am hoping that I will fit in and maybe bring something to the table RP wise. I was however wondering where would be a good location to start in world to meet other characters? I am sure I will have a million other questions to ask as time goes on. Hope to see you in game!

the starting city of cordor if you are a surfacer is usually the best place to start looking for people.. also there are a few starter quests to help you along the way. Also, welcome to the server!

well its been several...several years since I have played so I am trying to remember how all the hak pak stuff works. LOL
Oh BTW (and I know this is waaaay premature) but does this server carry homes for the characters? i.e. can we buy homes here?

You can rent homes for an extended period of time, from weeks to months, in varying sizes. Obviously the larger the home, and the longer period of time you pay for, the more gold it will cost. Just click on the doors of places and a dialog will be intiated if you can rent a home there. Some places are already bought, so you may not be able to rent them. You can also hire some houses till reset.

Hola!
And Cordor. Especially if you're playing a Human or an open-minded Elf. If you're playing a Hin, Gnome or Dwarf, Bendir Dale.
If you're playing a more pro-Elf Elf, you ca go Winya. But Winya is far from all the starter areas, which is a pain in the butt.

So does anyone have some advice about what character class would be a good one to start with? What I mean by that is. Are there any classes that are deficiant in numbers? What I would like to play I think is a guy who has just finished up his inital schooling to be a mage. The character "disposition" if you will is that while he is supposed to be traveling around to gain some practical experience he tends to spend most of his time with a fishing rod in the water and a book on philosophy or Formal logic in his hands.

Well.... That's up to you. Figure out a nice concept that you think suites your playstyle and interests, and then come with your concept to the The Official Build and Taking Epic Prowess Topic: Mk. V. There we can help you figure out what type of build would fit your character the most, and if you allready have a build we can help you fine-tune it for the server =)

I... unlike some DM's *cough* Mosh and Tormak*cough* am completely safe to feed as I don't bite and I'm litter box trained to boot. Meaning I don't have to be caged.... just do be sure to put your shoes in a place where I can't get to them.... I have been known to gnaw on a nice Nike from time to time.
