[Draconic] I have been thinking of joining this Obsidian Vanguard the under elves have been creating, it is in the interests of the warren to know what they are planning. I will of course be continuing my duties in trap making, I will also make work of... thinning the number of Gnome filth in its ranks. I wish to know whether you believe this would be for the good of the warren, and if it is suitable for myself.

A reply appears beside it, in Draconic.Ours is an adaptable and cunning kind. Follow your instincts as Gaknulak sharpens them to opportunity, kin. Deal and blend with the mammals as it serves you - know within your heart that the blood of dragons is what fills you and never them. The scaleless will never be superior nor equal to us, though they may serve our purposes.
You may find commonality with the Duergar, who understand work ethic and have their own tradition of mining. Keep your pick-axe with you and assure it dos not rust and your spirit shall remain healthy, even amongst the Vanguard.

Saylgarix had seen the note before, but kept his thoughts to himself. One trip however, he leaves an unsigned note in the warren, written in draconic.

Keep me informed of this group as best you can. I have heard but whispers of them and have not had time to investigate them for myself. I agree with these Steelscales and the warning of the one with red ink, do not permit yourself to get too close to them, but use them to your own ends in ridding the area of such a revolting, worthless race.

I have successfully infiltrated them, they have even given me the option of a council seat, if I can persuade others of our kin to join... I do not expect you all to, but it may help our cause if this seat were mine. My priorities of course lay with the Warren still.

It would be noted that the poster of these messages has not been seen in the Warrens for some time, and a pile of trap materials lay untouched for days. These days turn into weeks. And weeks months...
