//This is just an arc I came up with, but it generalizes the idea I think I am trying to convey.

What started out as a noble family's tradition, would become a seal of terror.
The callous Lord Graton Midgarette wanted for his children to maintain wealth among their generations,
to reshape the archipelagos of Ruathym with enterprise, and a title of prestige. His three sons,
were introduced to the finest schools in their upbringing, some taking on talents others would
claim were unorthodox. The first one was a lethally talented fencer. and a cunning business leader who often shook hands with unmentionable orders, the second, was reclusive, and took interest in the black arts of necromancy, and the last was the favored son of Lord Midgarette, who was said to be a warlock. Such talent would not go unnoticed by those terrible creatures on the plane of Stygia. A powerful and cruel Amnizu named Laeluxis saw opportunity in these noble bachelors and mutually arranged with Lord Midgarette, who too was hungry for power, that Laeluxis' "daughters" be introduced to his sons, held in private debutantes, which would of course be the strategic agreements that would churn Ruathym towards a new dark law.

//Hello gang,
I am pushing for a highly strict, dedicated faction with a starting number of 6 (each of which would need a dm's consent to provide, save for the necromancer)
-The fencer (Whom I imagined as a vampire)
- The warlock (I imagine playing a sorceror, and dragon disciple (To illustrate devil blood)
- The necromancer,
- The erinyes sister
-The erinyes sister
-A half-blood warlock witch, (Going similar to the same path as the warlock)

The designated six, will meet regularly in secrecy, and discuss their plans. Each of which characters evolving as they go along, I am open to discussing and changing back stories, intentions, and what have you among the new "family".
Any suggestions, questions, or complaints to follow, let me know! I'm determined to make this sort of society happen.

oh geez...awesome idea! meh...too bad that I'm playing a paladin leader. I guess I will remain in the rule of your future enemy, unless you convert him!

There's a few of us devil-blooded fellows already schieming and plotting around Amia. So I'm totally thumbs up for this idea. If you can't manage to grab 6 people, I say come play with us instead >_> We have candy and sin galore.

I wouldn't bother getting your hopes up for this.

Best get a ton of DCs ready if you want to play a warlock... I play one now complete with Eldritch Blast. Eli didn't come cheap though and I still have more I will be developing with him as time passes. Look up my request in the request forums if you are going for emulating the actual class itself and not just a mage w/ a love of ray spells.

Realistically though, I would drop the full half-(beasty) and undead things and go for more say, Tieflings or something that can work within the realm of possibilities without being overly taxing on the DMs and Dev team. It can still be just as cool, even if you need to claim that your lineage is a bit farther removed than it appears is desired.

I also would be careful with any applications as DMs could deny even a good request firstly if it seems outlandish (like undead PCs here) or if it looked or felt to them like it were a strategy to back them into a corner especially if they are worded to be an -All or Nothing- sort of deal. People tend not to like that sort of thing.

Otherwise, I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor!

No, no, no, no pokemon!
Okay, hault.

I see the problem with the reactions you're giving me, and they're none of the responses I'm interested in.
You seem highly focused on the animal of the characters, and very little in the idea of the piece.
Let us presume the Debutante society is what I am focusing your interest on, and less so on the actuality of the persons.
If the same dynamic applies, (A selfish family, marrying their way into pure evil) would that still hold your fascination
as a pseudo group, or if not, why?

Be aware that erinyes are pureblood outsiders and thus incredibly difficult to play since they really really really are not like mortal persons. Same goes for Vampires in a bit different way.

Mhmm... I personally wouldn't want to even try. The evil they do... It would demand a very good author to even describe.
I think people forget how truly evil devils / demons are ... I mean, it's not possible to describe.

You think hitler was nasty? Pff - think again
Hanz Fritzel? - He's a schoolboy in comparison

I certainly wouldn't mind jumping in, though I really think that tiefers might be better just because having...what, five or six fullbloods is....erm. Not likely.

The dynamic appeals plenty, but I think I'm too caught up in my current characters' schemes and dramas to have another. =S

You fielded the question complete with characters that most folks know would not make this viable... Consider rephrasing your example to be a bit more realistic and I can see folks likely responding in a way that does "interest" you. Don't blame us for your own lack of clarity or our jerk knee reactions to the realm of the highly improbable.

Honest answer and first impression to the concept though? "Yay! Another small independent clique group of evil that will inevitably get put down either by other Evil folks or Goody two shoes as soon as they become too large a blip on the radar!"

Yes, that was a bit of sarcasm, but most 'pure evil' tends to get put down quickly unless it is played out extremely carefully.

I disagree, but at the same time, agree. I'm a very conflicted person as you can see by looking at my siggy.

I like your idea alot, but as far as I know most succesful and persistent evil groups always took a longer development, and keeping a faction like you suggested alive may be even harder than it already is for people, since it requires the dedication of many people from the first moment on and may lead to alot of preassure...

If I was you I would probably make one of those characters I like the most, create it and simply play it for a while. I'd try to get involved with the evil on the server so I would actually have some sort of RP established and do not rely on the group I wish to create alone. Then I may get others to play the other roles, although I would probably change the characters until non of them need consent of the DM team anymore and are able to function independently as individual characters, so there is a reason for the players to get their characters even though non of the others from the "family" are online.

Anyways, there are already highly strict and dedicated evil peeps out there! So if you feel like it... come over *wink wink*

Fair enough,
For reiteration, I am not concerned with what animal the second party happens to be, (Nor the first).
As far as I care, they could be the offspring of a rich human miner, marrying into a family of wealthy human gamblers.
I can do away with any special creature involvement at all, if that is your complaint. In fact, it is something of a distraction.
My interest is to find something that interests your satisfaction as a player, not my own personal amusement.
That's always been my hat.
And now, I wonder as we step away from this idea of "evil", does the idea of establishing the upper class interest you at all? Formal, strict, eloquent, and prejudice, with hired servants and clerics. We can start from the ground level, as with maybe two families. A mother and father, as they do come, and a child and brother, or two. Is it the rise of the selfish wealthy community you're not convinced by? No more talk of demons or devils or warlocks please, the "evil" is in the guinea.

If that interests you, I will rework my arc to serve it.
