And to be frankly honest, the first time I joined an heavy RP server on nwn, which was my first experience with "roleplay", everything I did was a mistake. Can't be more precise.

Oh, I've made so many... I still do. I attacked people in front of guards and didn't know it was metagaming...... I didn't know what metagaming was? I once thought I could faction lead crazy people and had no idea what I was getting myself into because I made the foolish, NOOB assumption that everyone can be mature and calm about a game. I made a character who had amnesia because I was too lazy and unconfident to write a background story or care about how it defines someone.



...the list goes on.

That's not a noob mistake, it's the powerbuilders way!

My second week in Glorwing, I had just gotten my first level in Shadowdancer and was hot to trot with HIPS. Figured it'd be fun to scare one of the kid characters that usually played by the town fire. Next thing I know I'm on my ass with two Bigbies holding me and a Shadowdaze making sure I don't have anything to say about it. Girl I scared was the daughter of the local Sultan/head of the assassin's guild. I got to meet her body guards

Oh geez.. Yeah I used the recommend button for everything besides stats.. And I went purely intelligence based on a half-orc barbarian because I thought it would make him smarter.

Couldnt resist weighing in here...

I was a pnp player of 3 years experience before i came to nwn. I never played the solo campaign, a friend reccomended I try amia since it was RP on an open tap 24/7. So my mistakes were of another kind...

1 - I used my own real name as my first playername.

2 - By first character, a baneite, ran round cordor for about 3 months in a neon pink trenchcoat because it gave +2 dex

3 - First time a DM sent me a tell i had a heart attack. I seriously nearly died. I couldnt see the people I was rping with i could only see their characters but i got kinda used to it. But when something that wasnt a player sent me a message I got totally skittled, as if the FBI had hidden microphones under my kitchen table.

I wont go into builds, because the problem there was between the keyboard and the chair, and that has not changed since

I just know it took me a while to figure out how to craft your armor back in the days when arelith/Amia was One. So i simply didn't - and all my chars looked like bafoons.
