Basically the Muhlrondi gods escaped with some of their people from a different plane via some inter-dimensional portal thingy. They lost a few gods on the way, which is why Anubis isn't furrying it up. The Muhlrondi people, and their gods, are literally Aliens to Toril. Where as the other gods are just Faerunian gods that DnD didn't have the creativity to give an original name.

The lore is weak in this one.

The Mulhorandi and Untheric dieties were invited to Toril by Ao who recognised that the Imaskari barrier against the Divine was preventing the Mulan, who at the time were enslaved by the Imaskari, pleas from being heard from by their gods. Ao petitioned Ptah, whom is known in FR cosmology but not worshipped, to speak with the deities of the Untheric and Mulhorandi pantheons to send Gods to free the people from under the yoke of the Godless Imaskari.

They sailed the cosmic sea on two galleys, passing the Imaskari barrier by leaving the majority of their divine essence behind and becoming Manifestations (roughly equal in power to Avatars), coming to Toril to free the peoples of Unther and Mulhorand. None of them died, some such as Anubis and Nut etc chose to stay with their peoples on "Earth".

To make a point of it: Assuran(Hoar), Marduk(Bahamut) and Tiamat were amongst them. Sharess(Bast) as-well.

Reference: Powers and pantheons, Faiths and Pantheons, Old Empires of Faerun, Lost Empires of Faerun.

Allo folks. We are in a dire need of fresh blood as the old actives have grown a bit stale. Prod some of us in game or send PM:s if you feel like joining the faction.

If you do, I might consider...

Also I just couldn't let "Please join us?" be the singular unanswered, last post. It would just be awkward if no one replied. *nodnod*

Last I checked cupcake means someone Darthion has sexual approbation to. EO is a proper sausage fest, so I'll let you think it over.

I was wondering about something but feel free to ignore it if that is something that should rather by discussed in game and icly in your opinion:

Do members of the Sacred Order of Saint Elizabeth with divine powers like paladins have a different ranking than let's say fighters/WMs?

That you should find out IC, but a non-divine class joining the Order alone is already exceedinly rare.

Our only players who play on american timezones are MIA... so Lone Rangerint it would have to be till we recruit some more. We have gotten a bit stuck to being an european faction.

Should put some emphasis on recruiting outside of our usual timezone as well. It will just take some extra planning to dedicate some time for training and faction RP.

I suppose .. But the emphasis should be that you're an European faction. So that we don't need to adjust to the american timezone, as everybody on this server does ><

The idea of restricting yourself to a timezone is silly. IF you have the ability to expand and work beyond it and it is Ic for your faction to expand operations, then do so.

It's Easier to get together and thus easier to RP - And thus from a perspective to promote RP favourable to recruit people from the same timezone.

But that's also a crude generalization. :)

Having faction members in other timezones in no way excludes the part of the faction in your timezone from getting together and only promotes brand recognition in times that you would normally not cover. And having faction members doing RP in a timezone where previously there were not faction members doing RP is automatically promoting more RP than never ever getting any faction members in that timezone because you want to be "exclusive".

I really have to agree with Tormak here. There is no point in restricting ourselves to a single timezone. Maximizing enjoyment comes trough having Kelemvorites being awesome everywhere all the time!

OK, still have a question or 2...

First and foremost: Is EO strictly for followers of Kelemvor, or does EO allow followers from...say...Hoar? I see the Ecclesiastical Whatchawhosit is an amalgamation, it appears...but how do they overlap?

...or would this better be handled in-game?

The history is that the ecclastical troika was a coalition of the three biggest Western faiths at that time - Lathanderites, Hoarites and Kelemvorites, Struggling to make their stand versus the Mulhorandi locals and their gods.

That alliance has been somewhat forgotten, but there's still semi-active folks about. Phearnum, Kjetta, Mosh and Tormak can probably give more light on the subject.

Edit - Hell, In the old days even the salandarians were part of the Alliance. Unsure what happened thought.

The EO itself is exclusively to the followers of Kelemvor. The Troika is a whole different business, like Svensk stated.

The Eternal Order is purely Kelemvorites, although i think Gagis wants to reinstate the Ordo Mortuus, which are, what i believe, "honourary" members, who are not of Kelemvor.

The Ecclesiastical troika needs a facelift, The Order is quite fine as it is.
And i never understood how on earth hoarites, lathanderites and kelemvorites ever worked together.

Thanks for the quick responses. As is typical for me, I'm reading the forums using a Blackberry, and it's a bit painful at times...so I skim / skip. Once I re-read the initial post, I got my answer.
