Books seemed to move on their own, hurriedly picked up from a pile on the floor, the pages fluttering open in mid air, then laid gently down at the next pile a foot away.

Should a spell of "See Invisibility" be used, a hooded woman in black clothes with white skin could be seen moving the books and swiftly searching through them for something very specific. A red pseudo dragon, Nethrys, was perched on her shoulder.

Her current dress was not a disguise in the slightest, so to anyone who knew her, it would be quite easy to tell the woman was Cecilia.

She appeared quite private about the subject matter at hand, angling herself in the library where it would be mostly impossible for someone to read over her shoulder. The pseudo dragon glared at her surroundings as a second set of eyes, as well.

Seeing the books fluttering, Irae'arra approaches. Smirking a bit under her hood, she speaks quietly, from a respectful distance, after casting True Seeing...
"If it is lore you seek, perhaps a scholar could be of use? Fear not any....interruption of your duty, it is protected here within the Living City.
I believe we have met..."

Cecilia slapped the book closed in her hands, her posture poised and ready to move or take other action if the woman approached. Beneath her hood, her eyes squinted in caution.

That voice, her robes, the height of the woman and her face...the question lingered in her mind very briefly before it registered with recognition. Despite the memory of the woman in her thoughts, for very good reasons it did little to put her at ease.
Surprise.

She thought, and decidedly reasoned that somehow she was cursed and this was her punishment for a previous robbery.

"Hello." Cecilia said, carefully watching Irae'arra.

//RP here due to time constraints with my work and Bella's school

-----------------------------

Irae watched the woman steadily, violet eyes glinting deep in her hood.
"Yes. Before you ask, I know who you are, and at least a part of what you did to me. However, within this city, I will take no actions against you, as my loyalty lies both to the Art, as well as to the City.
You are fortunate to find me, as I am a skilled researcher. So, if you wish, I shall assist you. I ask only that you follow the laws as the Voice has laid down here, and I shall not stop you.
As I told you when we met, my name is Irae'arra. My father was...or is, possibly...a Councilor here. If I can be of any assistance, you need only ask.

She inclines her head in a faint half-bow, awaiting the tiefling's answers, keeping her distance.

"Who the feck is your father?" She asked, her tone was rough and still very much on edge. The duration of the woman's talk and reassurance did little to put her at ease. Cecilia's movement was still in hold, the thick leather bound book still in hand.

She still wouldn't move, and would interrupt after the first question was asked to speak another with little time wasted for chit-chat.

"You a book reading finger wiggler, or natural spell slinger?"

She rests her Master's Staff against her shoulder, lowering her hood to allow the thick fall of wavy silver hair, currently caught up in a slightly haphazard ponytail, to hang free. Violet eyes regard the extraplanar woman coolly, as one would examine a curious plant or animal. She weighs her response for a long moment before speaking.
"My father is Gloth d'Tsab. He is an archfaern...an archmage...of necromancy. As he is, so am I a wizard, a studied mage as you asked. I am likewise a necromancer, and a conjurer. I specialize in summoning...those extraplanar that lean neither to the Abyss nor the Hells.
Is there anything else you wish to know?"

She watches, waiting, not moving any closer.

"...Eh, no one's perfect." With that she straightened out, carefully setting the book down on the second pile without ever taking her colorless eyes off the Drow woman.

"I need someone to write a few scrolls for me, if you're wanting to be helpful like you said you would. Now of course you're going to ask for some sort of payment so let's hear it...and who's this Gloth d'Tsab? It just so happens I've been looking for him."

She shifts just lightly, leaning to her left on a bookcase. Her gaze is nothing if not steady, and confident.
"As I said, my father is a wizard. Sometimes here, sometimes not. He often....wanders. If he is not presently in the City, I can send you a messenger.
As for scrolls...I am competent in scribing up to the ninth circle, depending upon the spell. I have scrolls, though obviously due to scarcity, I prefer not to use my own.

What did you wish...?

"Yeah I have my own paper. Get a quill out, I'll list them. As far as your father is, I'm sure because he's your dad you can cast a sending or whatever it takes to set up a meeting?" The last bit was more of an insistent suggestion instead of an actual question.

"Ready?"

She sighs softly, thinking of her father's increasingly-loose grip on reality and the here and now...
I will call for him, but...I cannot guarantee he will answer. My father is...elderly, and the use of his magics has....altered his consciousness. As such...I cannot guarantee he will heed it.
With that said, she casts the fourth-circle Sending spell, a message going to Gloth.
Father...you are wanted. A white tiefling woman, in Tarkuul.

//pnp spell: Sending.

Cecilia watched as the sending spell was cast and carried on with the list of spells she had in mind.

"Whatever, here we go:

Two of those move earths, a Mislead, a Misdirection, Four of Detect Scryings, One Modify Memory...
Oh, and two of..."

There was a pause as she slowly spoke a more rare and uncommon spell, watching the woman for any indication if she was able to write it or not. "...Sepia Snakes."

Irae takes the spells down, and moves through the library, locating old well-used spellbooks for the proper spells. It takes a while, a period of time in which Irae seems to lose track of the fact that there is anyone else there, the incantations and somatic movements a mantra, her violet eyes taking on a distant look, as her consciousness turns inward, into the Weave and its coursing through her as she makes the spells a part of her repertoire....

Cecilia would call out after her, "And Dream! I need a list of what's needed for the spells to work, and specifically how they work....!"

Her voice lowered as the Drow Wizard turned away without any word or indication and went to work. "...uh...yeah, I'll be back tomorrow."

Turning herself, she resumed working her way through the stack of books, searching for other things that she would keep to herself.

If Irae hears (which she does), she gives no indication. Probably because she considers the requests for instructions unnecessary, knowing that all spells must be learnt exactly.

She gets to work and waits for her father's arrival.

Eventually Cecilia would return, quietly creeping in behind the woman who was hard at work. When she reached less than a foot away from the poor Drowess, her voice burst from her throat in nothing less than what could be considered an audio explosion.

"HOW'S THE WORK COMING ALONG?!" Her voice then returned to a normal volume, instantly finding a sense of seriousness as if nothing had happened. "Do you need tea or something? It's been a long night."

Xun, the Drow woman's nearby bodyguard, was startled out of the shadows when he leaned in, expecting to hear a whisper and recieved quite the opposite. He fell back against a bookshelf, sending it crashing on its side and an avalanche of books onto the floor.

The pale woman reeled backward at the ruckus and cackled loudly, she doubled over and leaned on the nearest chair to keep herself from sinking to her knees in a fit of amusement.

Irae jumps, startled and her sensitive ears pained, and slams a hand down on the table she's stood at, snarling low.
"While I cannot attack you, if you persist in being a pain in my backside, you can damned well find another wizard. Are we /quite/ clear?

Get your own vith'ez tea."

The steady glare indicates she might expect an answer.

It took every amount of willpower in Cecilia to pull herself together and try her best not to laugh, even with more effort at Irae's anger. Even then, it was barely containable. Her lips just couldn't cease twitching and pursing, her breath exhaled in short bursts.

Taking several deep breathes, she appeared calm and finally managed to stare back with a sobering answer.

"I'm sorry....I made some, just for you. I ...thought you might have been tired, that's all. Are you hungry? I made some muffins also....I noticed you must have missed dinner and..." She paused, frowning while using an 'inside voice'. "This means a lot to me. I don't usually bake, but I woke up early so I could try."

The drowess' furious scowl answers clearly, though she bothers to speak.

"I simply wish to finish. I am...uncomfortable...with socialization, thank you."

Aly’isgar was interested in the black clad female at first for no other reason than it was usually she moving unseen within the library. As a matter of fact, she was doing that now. That and positioned so that unless one was really looking hard she would not be discovered. That and she was still as death. She understood that if she didn’t move and if others didn’t expect to see her….it was likely she wouldn’t be seen. Her method of casting to see the invisible was virtually silent. As was her method of keeping herself unseen.

Irae'arra entered and now it was really interesting. Then she recognized the female in black which made the exchange entertaining. The mention of Faerun Gloth returned the exchange into something really, really interesting.

Aly’isgar kept from shaking her head at the willingness of the drowses to aid the other. She stayed and was still in the library when the black clad female returned . Fortunately she was not in the area the bookcase crashed, she was certain that the librarian would not be pleased at the mess.

And so she stayed and witnessed and heard everything. Her crimson eyes betrayed nothing of her feelings regarding the events. After all, if they didn’t notice her it was not her problem.

Anything that Irae'arra does...or does not...see, is kept well to herself. Her demeanour, always stiff, never flags.
She sprinkles black sand over the final scroll, before using a small conjured flame to melt indigo-blue wax, amassing a small puddle and pressing a signet pin into it. A simple sigil, a circle of midnight blue set with a n ornate "D", it nevertheless marks the scrolls as her work. She places them down gently before Cecilia.
"The goods you sought…and a list of necessary steps and components, arranged by spell. Take them and go.

There was much time passing of Irae continuing to work and Cecilia the sorceress sitting in close, quietly staring and very much possibly deliberately trying to distract or annoy the Wizard, but when the work was finished she responded with a serious and pleased smile.

"Thanks, missy. If you need something. Let me know... Oh and I'll be back around from time to time to hunt down your father."

With that, she put the scrolls in a safe place and took her leave. The Pseudo dragon that had been perched on her shoulder from before glanced about the library and remained silent, looking toward the exit as the white tiefling approached it.

The psudodragon had looked directly at Aly’isgar as it took one last look. What did it see of her there behind the books? Perhaps her alabaster hair that was wild with static electricity and generally unkempt yet clearly clean and dancing about her perfect dark face. Her crimson eyes, somehow free of obstruction, were the only things moving as they followed the creature and its mistress.

Then after they departed she dropped a bag upon the floor. She called forth a servant and it crawled from the bag to then follow her to the fallen book case and scattered books. Aly’isgar lifted the book case upright easily. “Pick up books and hand them to me.” She commanded.

Over the next while she replaced the books upon the bookshelf, handling them with great care.

Reclined in the back of the library a pair of pale lilac eyes catch the white tiefling as she sweeps up the steps.. he'd been listening to her quite mutterings, heard her shout then laugh hysterically. Propped open on his knees is a thin tome deep mauve in colour, occasionally he'd scratch something into the edges of the page. He stops and sits quite still for a short time then suddenly jumps to his feet and begins to pace.. hands clasped behind his back, only a tsking noise comes from him.

Gathering his fallen book he tucks it away and approaches the drowess quietly inclining his head once towards her he then moves to assist her servant pick up the scattered tomes. Searching for something, subtly.

The other young drowess sweeps quietly out of the library, met at the doorway by an elven figure, clad entirely in black and clutching a staff that emits odd sobs and whispers. Speaking quietly for a few moments, she exits at his side, chin up.

Once the tomes are placed in there rightful sections the figure again inclines his head to the drowess then leaves with a obvious haste in his step.. he very nearly bounds up the steps to the castle dark mutterings follow the man to his office, followed by a low curse and a slammed door.

Careful scrawl of a quill, fluently producing lines of words.. poetry or threat cannot be told.
