After receiving word the a possible murderer was on the loose within the city, the Commonwealth Guard put all entrances to the city (above and below gound) on lockdown. Children were ushered in off the streets, and parents warned not to let the little ones out of their sight. Guard patrols have doubled in size and are seen more frequently throughout the city. After having spoken with Captain Tarvencia of the CAG, Sergeant Phillippi of the Mage Division reopens the North Gate into the city proper. All incoming and outgoing traffic is scrutinized heavily, with both mundane sight and the use of True Seeing spells. More mage guards (2 at the minimum) are posted at every entrance to the city, with said mages maintaining True Seeing spells continuously. Shortly thereafter, sketches are delivered to each entry point, detailing the desription of the suspect as follows: The first sketch shows a five foot ten, brown-clothed man, covered from head to toe. Only his hands show, appearing to be normal, human hands. He seems physically unimpressive. Black hair, a mustache and beard can be seen in the shadows of his hood.
The second sketch shows an 8-foot tall fiend. Horns jut out from his head, making him reach a total height of ten feet. A mane runs down from the top of his head to his shoulders. He has large claws, encrusted with dried blood. His skin is a dull red, his face appearing somewhat human. Citizens and visitors to Cordor are warned that the two sketches are of the same being, a half-demon who switches between these two "forms", and caution all that only by use of a True Seeing spell might one see the second form. ======== Perhaps an hour or so later, the docks are also opened up, but only after guard posts are set up around them. The docks and the North Gate remain the only open points of access for traffic in and out of the city for now, all of them under heavy scrutinization as outlined above.

Shortly after, Captain Tarvencia addressed the public.
"Citizens and visitors to Cordor,
Our city will be taking precautions to ensure the safety of our people, and most importantly our children. Following the murders of children in Kohlingen, we have been informed that the murderous culprit had plans to strike here again, using our children to deliver packages on his behalf to advertize his murders, and then killing the unwitting children when they returned for a promised payment.
One such attempt was made today, and thankfully avoided thanks to the intervention of an unnamed woman. Whoever she is, she deserves our thanks, even if she may remain unknown. The city has increased its security in response, and we will be doing whatever it takes to keep our families safe.
Detailed sketches and descriptions have been provided by a witness, and circulated amongst the city's defenses and the public. If this man is seen, he is considered an enemy of the State and will either be forcefully detained or killed on sight. If he is sighted, the guard encourages people who sight him to alert the city guard immediately, especially if unable to defend themselves.
Watch your children and your neighbors, and be safe, Cordor. Any information should be turned in to the Adventuring Division."

Portalling back into the city during the lockdown, Tyrus found several interesting things. First the sighting of a cursed pirate somehow standing in South Cordor, which he quickly dispatched lest it harm someone. One girl named Rei was near and informed him other other such things. A poisoning in Uhm, cultist signs posted in Wharftown; all very... intriguing. Something was afoot, and so after finding out about the lockdown he set off to ensure the rest of the city's underground areas were safe. He did it not out of distrust of the guards but out of personal concern and the want to ensure everything was taken care of properly.

Reading over one of the notes, Elor scurries off to write a message.

The little gypsy can be heard muttering curses under her breath, and she keeps a predictable (inasmuch as -anything- she does is predictable) route...Shrine of Shaundakul, to Cordor West, to the Shrine, to Cordor South, the Shrine, to Cordor East, to the Shrine....rinse and repeat.

A dangerously skinny elven figure would be seen, though immaculately dressed in bright clothing she was slinking around Cordor some time later with copies of the posters in her hands, she was clutching them to her heart, and quickly trotted away to some where you probably wouldn't want to know, positively itching to find her Master.

Several copies of the notices are made.
A dark skinned human woman delivers them, with an addendum, to the Guards in Wharftown, Bendir Dale, and Winya Ravana, gates of Uhm, and the elders of Guldorand, and Cliffside.
This thing has come for the children of Cordor. Be careful, for that City's vigilance may lead it elsewhere.

Nicodemius sleeps through the entire thing... awhile later he wakes up and wanders into the city. He knows something's different, he just doesn't know what it is... of course, he has no idea where he is either and eventually has a long conversation about the dangers of pygmies with one of the posters.
