I had an idea the other day and I'd like to throw it out there and ask some questions, this isn't a request per say but more of a general probe to see if it's doable. So that I can work for it, and hopefully make a more fleshed out request in the future, this is a process. I want to make sure I do it right. If any Dm would like to privately discuss or add to this I'd be gratefully, also any players.

1: Are there female satyrs/fauns? In mythology there are, but I couldn't find FR lore on it.
2:Can I get goat legs, I saw some in the toolset, how much hypothetically would It cost to leto them?
3: Would it be racial type fey? I was thinking of using an elf model as the base.

Since you said players are welcome to answer too I think it is safe for me to post.

I do play a Satyr on Amia who also has the goatlegs, so yes they are available with Leto.

In DnD Satyr are the children of a Satyr and a Dryad, so there are no female Satyr.

The race which got approved for my Satyr was Elf-Feytouched.

Hope that helped a little for a start.

Darn.. Satyr and a dryad huh >.>'

this was so pretty..

I'm still reading and while all I see are males, I also see nowhere where it says explicitly they are all male, in fact (though I know this means jack diddly here) they became a playable race in 4E with both sexes.. >.>' at least according to something I read, but It may be wrong.. I don't actually own 4E books..

Also what about feytouched, what if her lineage is a satyr, would she not get passed traits being female? would she instead inherit dryad traits? or is that what came first the chicken or the egg?

We have approved a female faun before, though they are different from satyr.

Don't bother quoting 4e in either case. You'd just get shot down anyways.

Aye. 4e Faerun =/= 3.5e (Amian) Faerun.

Yeah I know, I wasn't directly quoting it in hopes to make a case, I was just stating a fact, and wondering if it's the next edition that makes it weird there is no precedent at all for it...but who knows it's a game and they do whack-a-doodle stuff all the time.

Thank you Paladin for clearing that up none-the-less.

So a female is called a faun? Okie dokes >.>' now I just need to find out how they are different.

Also, what is a rough estimate on those goat legs >.>' just for reference.

Female satyrs aren't called Fauns, fauns are entirely different.

I have nothing to say until you have an actual request. I really don't like these non-request threads in the requests forum. :?

I don't feel right making a request with half-arsed information >.>' such is why.

I'd rather know more and give my concept justice than to make a request that is rushed and poorly done. I would rather it be recieved well because of the care and thought put into it, and to show you as DM's that the quality of my roleplay matters to me.

I am neither firmly grounded in FR or Amia lore, and that is why I reached out. If I questioned in the wrong place for such, then I am sorry.

Lots of people don't look in these forums anymore because the DMs cracked down on DM-only input unless asked for/okayed by the posting player :) Just so you know! DMs might feel uncomfortable because they don't want to help you too much and have others cry "favouritism!" when you get the request approved. Here's a thread that may help:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29020&start=4400

My other suggestion is to work with some creative ideas and if you cannot find any more information just submit something. The DMs will let you know if it's up to par, and if it's not, they are good at being specific about what is lacking-- so then you will know specifically what more to go into detail on, should it not be detailed/correct.

Let me know if you'd like me to help you because I'm always willing. Best of luck!
