I've decided to make a new character.

I need to be recruited OOC. So make me your sales pitch!

Im open to any and all suggestions.

Once I choose OOC, I will work with faction on making a character. Also the actual recruitment and the like will happen totally IC. Its just been a while for me so I dont know for sure whats going on in the Amian landscape.

Make a Hin. Or a Kobold.

Bendir is booming.

Kobolds have at least 4 PC run tribes to chose from if you are into that sort of thing.

Make a Hoarite.
Radilith is recuriting.

On the other note.
Thilidar is making a league of Faithless. You can join him, it's not an actual faction though.

Make an Eili. We've got free roast spider.

I also heard B.L.A.C.K is in need of moar people.

Don't decide to join any faction at all. If you find some FR religion, organisation or nationality cool, you should make a character solely based on that.

Foremostly, it is important to secure your genuine enthusiasm to play your character exclusively, independent of anything going on in Amia - factions don't last forever, and if you make a character just to hang out with your factionmemberpals, it will most likely be painful to play without them, in case your friends start to get inactive.

I don't mean that you couldn't seek inspiration from an already existing organisation, or that you couldn't make a character to join one. I'm saying you shouldn't create a character just to join one.

But hey-ho, that's just my opinion. Do whatever you like, as long as you feel content with your playing experiences!

Still, Having a faction means you'll almost always have a bunch of like minded Players that enjoy the same RP As you do, And working towards a common goal is always nice.

Characters who have no purpose outside the faction and depend soley on the rp that is provided for them are a pain in the ass. Hence what Opustus said.

I know we need more elves in Winya, and our rp has been pretty great the last couple of months.

An elf PC is a wonderful thing. And not one of those citified fancy-pants almost-elves who's basically a skinny human with pointy ears... I mean an elf who actually acts like an elf.

Hm. Since we're pushing for factions; Here's another thing i thought of. I have noticed it's rather fun to join a faction that you have no expectations on. Something entirely fresh .. and unheard of!

Like me, i've never heard of the "Black Flag" until a month ago.. Still trying to figure out what the hell they are. And it tickles my curiosity ..

I think i always confused it with B.L.A.C.K honestly cuz people kept saying 'Black' and never really elaborated on what they meant.

Join the Mystic Blade. You get to join the truth or dare evening at the Temple of Love, trying to thwart the plans of banites/ralten's band (whoever they may be) if you so desire. You can be part of Winya or Eilistraae as well, if you get the right race mind you. You get it all, baby. You just need to be a spellblade/spellaxe/spellspear/spellbrokenchair/cantomancer/hexblade/bladesinger/etc and want to join the cool people in Caraigh. Joining the Mystic Blade doesn't limit you. It's the best, AND Railen makes cake for us! :mrgreen:

War Knights are awesome.

We serve Tempus. Tempus is awesome. Drinking and Fighting, whats not to like? Also all the stuff about anti slavery, protecting frontier settlements and such.

We also serve the Red Knight, and if you follow the Red Knight you officially cool. So you should follow her. Yep.

We also got a new base recently to. Its cursed. So anyone who comes near us will likely find their PC's character file corrupt or something. Trust me, you don't want to mess with this baby. Its blown up hard drives, driven Designers into obscurity and caused rifts in mutual respect among peers.

So join the War Knights, and likely get bored, never check the forum, and have me bitch about it!

Whatever character you make, make an enemy. Factions are a cool easy way to have some. But ideally, ask someone to be his rp arch nemesis. That way, with or without a faction, you've someone to thwart and vice versa.

Active enough to join in on a fair bit of fun, old enough that you know they are not going any-wear, a wide spread of players from different time zones coupled with a mix of rp styles all worth the interaction, as well as the chance to be part of an empire as its born. New faction base, a keep, a small city to defend an help with building an enforcing the laws, etc etc, as well as lots of interesting hidden plots an rp that cant really be discussed, it has to be experienced.

evil or natural alignment really necessary, any class any religion, however i believe a little research into who the horsemen are allied with would provide a little direction in that regard.
