The first of them arrived this morning.

Four curious men in curious red-robes walked in to the City of Cordor, the City of Tolerance, bearing tidings and blessings of "The Angel". They give away prayerbooks, as well as information of their order to any who ask.

The men hail from an ecumenical monastic order, Gradientes Angelus Amicita, their tenants state that they intend to give aid and comfort to the ill, the infirm, widows, orphans, and beggars; such works that please the gods of justice and righteousness. The four state that they are to be the first of many, sent to herald the arrival of their order from the mainland, and seem friendly and open to men and women who follow just gods.

"Mankind" They say, is their cause, and service to mankind, their worship. Much talk of the town's commoners state that they have been helpful and generous, if though a bit odd. While their red garments had given some cause for alarm, the men are not even approximately Thayvian; they haven't the air of wizards and their skin tone suggests they are from a much more northerly region. The City does tend to gossip about them, which the Monks pay no heed. They live quietly in a small, unfurnished room that one citizen provided them because "They seemed like decent chaps".

A few more began to arrive.

A few disembarking from a ship at the docks, their red robes starkly standing out from the sailors and longshoremen. A trickle arrive in at a time, looking quite odd alone. Though never more than a handful are seen at a time, each new ship that arrives at the dock brings in one or two more of these odd monks. Their gathering on this isle, is about to assemble.

A copy of this book acquired earlier is in the hands of a certain Gnomish Wizard, whom seems to study it in brief spurts intermixed with his other works.

He acquired it from Jack Tesilient and seemed earnestly curious in it, but thus far has done nothing more then give a cursory reading.

Willow also hold on to her copy, given to her by the groups leader while they were on their way to Cordor. So far, she's only given it a glance. She's sure to give it a proper read and examination though, being the curious Hin that she is.

One of the books Belalad finds and thoroughly reads through it, as well as casts a few minor spells on it testing the waters. After they left to the south went into the southern distict asking the other guards if they know where they are staying. Than goes about filling a report and writing a letter.

((Minor spells casted while examining the prayer book: Detect Magic, Read Magic, Legend Lore, Identify, True Seeing.))

Tyrus, who knew the value of seeking knowledge on such religions and people, would take one of their prayerbooks, whether directly given by a monk or discarded b someone. Sometimes he is found reading in Cordor square or one of the taverns and so one would likely see him giving this book a glance or two, seeking what knowledge he can find out of curiosity's sake.

E'dalar would simply purchase of of these books from another person for meager coin, wondering what this is about.
He would then walk to the Triumvir, to read the book.

The ill, the infirm, widows, orphans and beggars? E'dalar said out loud. This is strange..

A human male dressed in finely crafted leathers of deep blue and shadow stands in South Cordor making light conversation with some locals and watching some children play near his feet. His hood is pulled low so that his face is nearly unrecognizable and he speaks in whispers.
He turns slightly as he sees four red robed figures walking silently past, he turns away and hides his face as Captain Tarvencia trails them not far behind. He quickly moves off to the north soon after.

The angel's following waxes greater, as more arrive with each passing ship, each day. The laymen gather in small public groups for prayer readings during the daylight, and retire to meditate in the evening. However sizable their number, they claim that more are yet to arrive, alluding to the arrival of a great priest of some sorts, to cement the establishment of their monastic order on Amia.

A silent well muscled femme sits on a bench listening to a nearby cadre reading their prayers. Listening. As time goes on, she seemed more and more curious. Reading through the book given to her by one of the red robed monks.

She thought to herself.. "I was looking for a way to make up to pa, to do good. Maybe this is the way to do it.. better than just keeping people safe in the guard. They seem nice.. wish I knew... m..maybe I should. Helping people isn't a bad thing."

Faeryl observes the red clad beings in silence, hidden at one of her favorite roof top perches. Her drow eyes keen, watch and note from this vantage how many there seem to be spread across the city. From the ground perspective is limited but from up here, from up here this looks like something else. A foot hold an invasion under a flag of peace. Trickle in unobtrucably, build numbers and when the time comes to strike they are so spread out and intermingled chaos insues and proper defense can't be mounted.

She watches the leader pass below, she drinks in every detail. It would be nice if true, so similar to the maidens desires are theirs, but I worry. Strange things have been going on, the monolyths... now red clad monks offering aid but not even asking donation to fund it...

She hops down, breaking her fall almost silent as she tumbles to a stop. She rights herself glances about and settles in for what will likely be a long task, the constant observation and study of everything these monks do and where they go.

As much as the figures seemed noble and just in their own way, a Paladin would watch them with a curious but kind eye whenever one passed by or came to look his way. Walking through Cordor with his helmet on all the time unless asked to be taken off by a member of the guard.

Speaking to himself in a calm, gentle tone as the monks went on about their praying, "Well, as much aid as we might require in days of misfortune for the poor folk of these lands... I simply hope and pray on what they claim their plans to be are true to the voice that spoke it." Kent would stand around Cordor at random hours of the day, watching these figures with that same curious look over his stance before simply walking off again.

With the Arrival of their prophet, the exodus started. Some dozens of the men in red robes have traveled northeast, Towards the Sea Cliffs. The white ocean birds circle overhead, the call of the gulls their sign of the end of their journey.

Upon these cliffs, a construction takes shape. Temporary tents erected to guard against the chill winds and rain common to the oceanside stand next to scaffoldings where excavation has started. Masons chisel at stones brought from a nearby quarry, and sawyers form logs into beams held in reserve. The Prophet observes their labors, directing and guiding the monks according to a building plan he guards carefully.

Volunteers have brought them many materials needed for construction. Helpful residents of the isle have given them freely cords of wood nearly a score, and a similar amount of hewn blocks for their effort. Given the abundance of laborers the Monks have brought, the Chapel's construction is sure to progress quite quickly.

The Construction continues, and makes much progress, but the monks become even more tight lipped about their work. The Prophet of this order appears to have left on a sort of journey or pilgrimage to the holy sites around the isle.

Sure enough, a caravan of men in red robes can occasionally be sighted along the roads.

The Chapter Marshal of the Eternal Order can be seen at the site with a Knight-Templar by his side taking notes, writing down almost word for word the transactions between the Sacerdos and Marshal Bensbennard. It seems he only asks him simple questions relevant to the faiths of the mount, their purpose on the island, their relations with other factions, whether or not their Order is a militant or peaceful order, and so on. Much of what is said would only be memorable by those within close vicinity due to the sounds of construction nearby.
Later, the same Chapter Marshal and Knight-Templar can be seen patrolling the site, and counting the number of members of the Gradientes Angelus Amicita, perhaps for safety concerns for themselves. The Knight-Templar records everything, and it is handed to the Chapter Marshal before they are finally on their way.

Farmers within the Northern Outskirts of Cordor have become accustomed to the occasional visit from the followers of the Angel. A few cheery monks are greeted by families, happy to see their return. While for the most part the gathering of robed men has retreated to the foothills by the sea, the men with their eye-catching garb have been quite busy.

For one reason or another, many of the citizens have a favorable view of the monks.

From time to time Belalad can be seen watching them while he patrols about Cordor whenever he bumps into one. Seemily with curiousity and concern both involving the monks and the people that great them.

"I really need to find out more about them..."

Can be heard before he goes back towards the heart of the city.

A certain plain-looking human, wearing cloak with symbol of Chauntea, can be seen leaving temple of Waukeen at Cordor, carrying big box clanking with bottles. Throughout the day, he travels through outskirts of Cordor, from farmstead to farmstead, talking with farmers and giving them some bottles. Passing adventurers would easily recognize them as bottles of holy water, and some lesser healing potions. This continues next day, untill he has visited every farmstead in the area, with occasional porting in and out for more supplies. When he's finished, he returns to his farm in North Cordor.

Their construction progresses nearly to its conclusion. Their laborers have some trouble finding things to do, as scaffolds on the upper hill are taken down.

Many of the wandering pilgrims are seen returning to this place, their task and meditations afar finished; Their order now has a home to which they shall return

To the Prophet and leaders of the Gradientes Angelus Amicita

Servants of the Angel,

The City of Kohlingen asks your aid in investigating a crime that besmirches the goodness of your doctrines and beliefs.

Our city holds evidence that on midnight of the 25-26th of Elesia two dressed in the habit of the red monks of your order stabbed John Boswin stuffed his body in a bag and took him away. His possessions were sold by person unknow but the intials on the transfer of the deed were G.A.A.

It may be that two or more of your monks have done this evil or it maybe that two criminals donned your monkish attire to shift the blame to the Gradientes Angelus Amicita .

Regardless we must examine all members of your order by good and proper means including a circle of truth spell. We would hope that you and the leaders of your order of monks would set a good example of submitting to and aiding us in this investigation.

During the investigation we will detain monks in our city for questioning as well as restrict the number of monks so that we may proceed in an orderly fashion.

May the good Gods that we worship bless us in rooting out evil from within our communities.

Sir Justin Faifax
Seneschal of the Triadic Knights of Kohlingen.

Frequenters of the Sandy Cliffs might notice Zammikyra traveling to and from the Chapel every few days. Her stays are not long, however, no more than a few minutes each time.
