With a grumble and sigh Lyam removes the extraneous messages and leaves the only one up that would have been sufficient or necessary attached to the notice board in the Hinn Inn. "Looks like you've an overzealous admirer Fendel!". Ordering a pint of ale he pauses before throwing the bundle into the fireplace. "Hmmm, I could use the backs of these for scratch paper or for Jo's doodlein' ." He then stacks them neatly and finishes his pint.

It's alright. This thread should by all rights be called "[OOC] Small Folk Picture Thread" or something like that. DustSpray101 wrote: you mean dwelling within Nick's mind is Tyler Durden? or possibly the Hulk is lurking within him... He look kinda Orc-like on occasion? j/k looks great!

//The Town Hall received a face lift. It was to make the meeting room and general ambiance more Hin. It should be played that some minor changes were made, but that it was mostly this way from the start.

What I love about the changes I've seen are the little tidbits of history to make it more accessible for those that weren't there. Personally I would love to see more of that. I've yet to see the meeting room, though Nice work, GothicSauce.

Looked in the Town Hall yesterday to see what had changed, but didn't think to check the Meeting Room, so I've just been and looked now.....really cool!

There was another one sort of player run, but it didn't really get finished, but over the last year it has been always been talked about reviving (but with little support from DMs I think, because GothicSauce had a large amount of away time). Whether GothicSauce has plans or not, I guess only time will tell .

Amongst the other destinations, sent to Bendir Dale's leadership:
Peoples of Amia,
We have re-acquired one of the gems needed for one of the two remaining Obelisks. Specifically this is for the Obelisk located in the Green Lake.
It is hoped that through study, we will be able to use it to re-open the Obelisk and re-attempt it's related test. I will need to ask of you all though to aid in keeping your eyes out both at the other remainng Obelisk site, the places where Obelisks manifested prior, and also the central location known to the Bendir Dalesfolk and some others previously requested be watched.
The time coming for this will be soon, approximately two days from now in the later hours. I bid ask any who can be availible for this to lend their hands , whether in watching over the Obelisks, the lands where they had been, or the central site.
Thank you for your cooperation and assistance,
Tuomas Valo
((OOC: The intended time is this Saturday the 22nd of Janurary, Approximately 10:00 PM Eastern-ish or some time in that area))

Midwinter Festival on the 3rd day of Alturiak The new moon of this midwinter looms ever closer and will cue the new year to come with an open door and a warm hearth. So on that day, for all that care, come in and feel the touch of The Hand of Fellowship, sit around the fire and trade good words, and if willing share and exchange arts and crafts. So wherever your feet maybe this midwinter, know that The Hearthkeeper has a place here in Bendir Dale for whenever you wish to rest those travellers toes. ~ Mayor Johanna Dairokal Hardingdale

// It's a New moon on 3rd February in GMT so seems more appropriate a day than any other to hold the midwinter festival. The time, however, is best to decide amongst everyone on this thread OOC. I'm sure we can come up with something together . And, as usual, IC responses and reactions encouraged.

Once again the infernal rifts opened; again the host of Devilish beings was beaten back. The Bendir Dale Council wishes to thank all those hearty folk whom stood and stemmed the tide! Special thanks go to our own folk who were present and heroically stood to defend our Dale!
Our Militia, according to plan, evacuated the remaining civilians. Taking refuge in the lower levels of Kibs’, Muck’s and the Hin Inn we had no loss of life. Our kin who stood the onslaught fared worse. All were brought to the Greenfields and we would be honoring a tenday of mourning if not for the grace of the Gods who saw fit to return their souls to us.
Instead of mourning, we call for a grand festival! To honor all those who served the defense of our Dale! In a tenday we will hold this event.
Signed by the Bendir Dale Council
*A special invitation is sent to the original seven who stood alone in the Mylock Hills and faced the first infernal hordes. Lyle, Sally, Snobbles, Blade, Egan, the winged Assimar and the stout dwarf Bulnar Ironstriker*
// please there is a name I do not have…the Assimar

Sent by courier.
First, you are all owed an accounting of that which has resulted from the prior incursion into attempting to re-test the Green lake Obelisk:
When I attempted to use the gem to open the Obelisk, it showed no charge and no reaction. Terzaroch spoke unto us briefly, calling us fools and noting he'd found the weakness of the Obelisk and since had sealed it up.
After, the ground began to quake and the sky turned red. Not too long after, we were warned that the Mylock Hills portals were opening, so we harried back there, to be greeted by an arme of Devils which engaged us. Heading to the central of this grouping of portals, we found a man in human form who turned out to be none other then Terzaroch himself in his bound mortal form. With what had happened, he'd been able to re-manifest into his proper form. Though we killed him and closed the portals, they had apparently hit Bendir Dale fairly hard in the process although ultimately it's people are fine, given that those who were there save those fighting off the Devils had evacuated to safety elsewhere.
The question I believe is on many minds at this point is: 'What next?'
To be plain: We need to determine a few things
1) Where he lairs in the Hells (if not another demi-plane of his own creation)?
2) What his designs are for certain?
3) How he means to carry them out?
4) What he has at his disposal?
We need to determine answers to all of these before deciding on a course of action in finality.
If any of you can provide assistance in obtaining answers to these questions, it would be greatly appreciated. I am however, alongside others beginning to take steps to attempt to answer these very questions.

Nina let's Jo know that she will be more than happy to provide one of her fireworks shows if she would like her to.

A letter arrives at the Bendir Dale town hall, and is quickly filed under Department of Public Works. To anyone reading the letter it is clear that it was written on behalf of another person, by a scribe as the signature is written in a dwarven script.
The letter reads: "It has come to my attention that the wooden bridge to the north of the town hall in Bendir Dale has collapsed due to excessive load, or a severe impact. I am writing to offer my expertise in masonry and smithing, for the purpose of building a new bridge that will not fail so easily. I have already procured some of the necessary ore and minerals, as well as arranged for a portion of the needed labor to carry out my plans. With the consent of the Dale I believe we can build not only a sturdier structure, but a fitting monument to the efforts of the people who saved your fair village and all the lives in it, on the fateful day of the previous bridge's destruction. This new landmark would forever remind those it supports of the heroism that kept all but the one structure from falling, and insure that even that could never happen again. -Bulnar Ironstriker"
There are two addendums attached to the letter. The first is a folded architectural draft of a stone bridge. Complete with designs for a proper foundation on both banks of the river, followed by detailed dimensions and angles for individual slabs of granite and positions, angles and diameters for bored holes criss-crossing through the stones. The holes are designed to house trusses that would reinforce the structure. The paper is covered in notes written in dwarvish, and then translated in the handwriting of the original letter writer, about placement and sequence of pieces to be placed, along with proportions of ingredients needed to make a proper mortar where needed. Finally the structure is to be covered in a layer of marble, and finished with a mithral plaque dedicating it to those who fought against the forces of hell.
The second addendum is written in the personal dwarven short hand of the designer. It is a metallurgical formula detailing proportions, smelting temperatures, and methods to prevent oxidation of an adamantine/black iron alloy, followed by instructions for the forging of individual support trusses.

The redheaded Nevaeh Tarvencia stops by lit--... sm--... the -quaint- settlement of Bendir Dale a couple days after being invited to attend the Midwinter festival by Mayor Hardingdale. She checks the appropriate bulletin, and then makes for Cordor after buying some authentic hin snacks from Bemmi. It seems she's planning on attending.

Crow stops by Bendir, he buys a warm loaf of bread and fills his waterskins from the sweetwater well. Heading to the Inn, he hears a voice behind him.
"Mister?" a redhead little female asks
"Yes?" the man says as he stops and turns
"If you want a drink, the Inn is empty, but you're welcome to the celebration north of here." she says
"Celebration?" he quirks his head These people celebrate when the wind blows he thinks to himself
"Yes, just come, you'll see" she giggles to him
The man takes note of the sun's position, deciding he has some spare time, he nods to the halfling and follows her to the Shrine area of the Dale. As he approaches, he sees a gathering of Hin with Mayor Jo and the bartender leading the event. He slips in next to Rinzi the gardener girl, one of the few he knows. For some reason, she keeps staring at him, making him a little nervous. He listens as Fendel describes the fateful situation which lead them here. He watches as awards are given out to those who defended the Dale honorably. He gives a smile as Miss Sally steps up after Lyle, he can hear the enthusiastic woots from Miss Willow across the yard. He whispers a promise to Rinzi that he would stop by to see her, she misses the juice he used to leave her when he lived near the old cave.
After the formalities are over, Mayor Jo makes the announcement that there will be refreshments and something called fire-works to witness. Crow, not hearing this term before asks what they are, getting the response to wait and see, which he does. Several seconds later, a faint whoosh can be heard as spells are cast into the air, they explode in a flurry of sparkles and color, causing Crow to duck. He shuffles his feet, wishing someone was with him to see this beautiful display of light and color. He looks north to the Forest.
When the fire-works display is finished, Crow steps up to the redhead Hin and congratulates her on such a fine show and thanks her for the invite before slipping out and back to the forest. There, he finds what he was looking for, describing what he saw, and generally content.

To whom it may concern,
It was brought to my attention that a faerie by the name of Estellza was recently kidnapped within the land jurisdiction of Bendir Dale. The man in question that was reported doing the kidnapping was Seaamros, a known blackguard. It pleases me to inform you that Miss Estellza is safe again, but was taken to Underport during the kidnapping. Forgive me, but that is all the details I have on the matter. Hopefully bringing this to your attention, if it was not previously reported was helpful. If you are unfamiliar with the man I can attempt to send over a detailed description of him. Any further questions on this please feel free to contact me within Cordor.
Corporal Belalad Feiwallyan of The Cordorian Guard.

// Essentially it's 19:00 EST. It can be later, but then 1) it won't have started on the 3rd of February, and 2) I won't likely be around. Though point 2 isn't that important. Either is point 1, for that matter. I'm in the wrong country.
