Probably been asked before, but I can't find it anywhere on the forum or other sites.
What's the maximum amount of skill points I can add with the use of equipment?

If this makes anyone wonder to the maximum ability that can be added with equipment, that's 12 (sometimes it gets buggy and makes it 13 don't know how or why precisely).

50, if disregarding bonus on ability. That would make it 56 if you for instance have +12 charisma gear on a bard for perform.

I know it's not what you're asking but skill points gained from bard song are also limited to the same 50, so skill points from items + skill points from bard song cannot exceed 50.

Maybe this should be added to the "Mythal crafting system" topic in the side bar. Would seem handy to me to know.

It's capped like everything else.
And like all other things that cap, ability bonuses are not included in the cap (be it STR for AB etc etc)

Attack Bonus: Capped to +20 bonus
ALL AC bonuses: Capped to +20 bonus(non stacking So +3 amulet +5 Barkskin is total +5, Except dodge AC)
(Giving this one it's own entry because it's by far the most important one)
Dodge AC: +20 Cap .Divine Shield, Haste, Bardsong AC bonus are a few of the ones that help cap it out. Note that the dodge feat, dexterity, monk AC, Monk Wis ACs do not cap to Dodge AC.
Skill bonuses: +50 Cap. This does only include gains to skills from Bardsong or items, and similar skills that activate. The cap does NOT include bonuses from feats or ability modifiers (Stealthy feat, +Dex, tackless step, Bardic knowledge, silver palm, (epic) skill focus and so on)

Easy way to think of this is Ability Modifier + CAP listed above + Feats
