*whether you be walking along and find one tied to the tree in the forest or, possibly in wharftown tacked to the docks, Underport, blowing in the winds or just beside a trash barrel where some adventure journeying through Cordor or Kohlingen may have haphazardly tossed it, there is a notice on fine Vellum written in a sky blue ink elegantly and proffesionaly written that reads*

Free People of Amia,

Horsemen is essentially a messenger. When a king is waiting on their Horsemen they are waiting for there messenger to arrive. This can be the turning point of a battle since a messenger has information that can change the tides of a battle or war. We are a group founded by the late Valorian well known and admired by several that I've spoken with him about. His vision as is mine, and when we started, by the way, we was no more than Raltens Band, The Horsemen bring a message. A goal of a militia or military organization that we've eventually become that doesn't give into corruption and believe the people should have the final say. Free People of Amia, that means exactly that. The Horsemen bring a message of freedom, peace and order. Freedom to camp where you wish without being told to leave because of your race or skin color or what diety you worship. Freedom to walk through a city without fear of being arrested by a bouncer from a casino and then shaken down once you get to jail. Freedom to practice unaccepted skill trades whatever they may be, that is your -right-. These are freedoms the Horsemen stand for, we don't care what diety you worship, or what have you. If you wish for a free amia that's safe and secure, where your commrades not only help you but try to help you to help yourselves, then you have our goals in mind.

The Horsemen have had some in the past that fell short and even decimated this goal under there own whims of what we represent they were in error and have been discharged. Since then I've completley reorganized the Horsemen to be the law enforcers we are today. As I've said before however we will -not- be enforcing Chillwick law, aka Horsemen Law, outside of Chillwick. We will however offer to aid and support any Laws posted or officials with jurisdiction in the area we happen to be patrolling. We will not hesitate to arrest someone and hold them for the proper authorities, so long as those authorities are recognized by us to be just and honorable. Just thought I'd let you know abit about us after hearing these vile rumors that have been circulating. Sorry for the mess of signs, I'll send a group of guards to pick up any signs, in areas were allowed, and have them properly disposed of and/or taken down in a tenday.

Several of the Horseman notes in surface regions would find another note tacked up next to them, or perhaps under them, but they all say the same:

You claim to bring a message of freedom, peace, and order. But how can you do so when you've got allies such as the Red Wizards (most everyone knows that "attack" you made on them was a sham), the Banites, the Velsharans, Tarkuul, and the drow of House Qos'Yutsu? Yes, your little secret is out. The only question is, who spilled the beans? I'd suggest asking that braggart in the black, spikey armor who was seen discussing it with some people outside the sewer entrance in the swamps.

The free peoples of Amia Isle are well aware the only freedom you embrace is the freedom to comply with any and all of your orders under threat of death, the order you offer is the order of master over slave, and the peace you give to others is that found only in the grave.

Gorthod inspects the signs, and then the note tacked beneath, he scribbles "Ralten's Band approves of this message, but did not write it" and affixes it to the following post. Before trotting around and sticking up a similar message on any signs lacking it.

Nameless writer,

I don't know anybody by that appearance, and since you have no given name your credibility as a source is zero. If you want to slander, do so properly with sources that can actually be checked for verification, otherwise anyone can just go around making preposterous claims and allegations. For example, I could claim you are a bucktoothed, have purple skin with yellow rashes and boils all over, your left eye larger than the right and bulges out, yet since we don't know who you are, we can't check the claim so by your logic, what I just said about you must be truth.

The paper, and another, are once again driven into the ground, this time with crossed wrist-blades, just in front of the guards of Chillwyk. The woman is in blue and silver armour, silver scales glinting on ebon skin, long silvery-white hair in a braid.

Mika you really have no room to talk trying to befriend the War Knights for the purpose of taking over. I'm sure they'd find it difficult to vote you in knowing you served the Khazark of the filthy Enclave as a Thayan First Knight and just as Honor said as well, you seem to be only trying to cause trouble, yet again. Do Thayans do anything but that? There has been all these allegations but no proof as to whats being said, we haven't nor do we intend to cause trouble. Our agenda is not secret unlike Mika's we have stated openly, we enforce local law. I won't repeat myself concerning the rest.

*Some notices posted about*

Red Wizards and Horsemen working together? Absurd!!!

As the former Khazark of the now, very much deceased and destroyed, Red Wizard Enclave, I can say that the Horsemen have been our enemy during the entire existence of our faction. Their attack was no 'sham', I assure you. Their attack, dear Amnians, was brutal, swift, and uncompromising. One need only look at the rubble in the skull crags to see the devastation and of their awesome power.

And what about those twenty-three slaves that never made it out before the tunnels collapsed? Those twenty-three slaves who, on the word of the Enclave were about to be let go, but never had the chance? Those twenty-three slaves who now lie buried underneath so much rubble, their bodies cannot even be retrieved for a proper burial?

Did the Horsemen even pause to consider the fates of these unfortunate victims before blasting half the tunnels apart with their evocation? I think we both know the answer, don't we...

More concerned with earning their own selfish pride and glory by 'defeating the Red Wizard Enclave', they completely put aside any respect for humanoid life. And make no mistake, dear Amnians...in this atrocious act that failed to save even a single slave life, they have shown their true colors. If they aren't to be concerned with the lives of twenty-three slaves, what evidence is there that they will be concerned with...-your- life? Or your brother's? Your mother's? Your uncle's?

Guard yourselves well against their swords, even moreso against their words. Our own slaves were to be released with in minutes of the notice of their attack. Yet they chose to bury us -all-, slave and Thayan alike.

To those of you who detest slavery so, consider yourself this. It is better to be a slave than to be dead and buried.

And what about this Mika Lor? This...ex-first Knight of the Thayvian Enclave, as she so claims? Don't be fooled by her apparently sincere attempts to redeem herself and work with the War Knights. Her good intentions are merely cloaked with selfish desire. The desire for petty revenge. This despicable woman wishes only to spread senseless dirt and rumors with the purpose of damaging the Horsemen and whats left of the Thayvian Enclave.

Back when the Enclave was established, I was forced to discharge this vile woman for her severe treatment of the slaves. One such notable subject was burned cruelly, for her mere amusement. Forced to take action, I discharged her. And now this awful renegade, out of spite, wishes to continue her campaign of trouble making and deceit.

-Former Khazark of the Thayvian Enclave, Arzira Phetoril.

*Seeing the use of this, a small figure leaves the following in the growing sprawl presumably in the Frontier.*

Those of the "Fallen" Enclave, wizards of red and gold, munthreki all, sharing drinks with the ones that "defeated them" bearing the black and blue, does not enemies make no matter your species, munthreki. A clever rouse has been discovered, the dice have been rolled and your bluff called. How you plan to proceed from here is your choice, but denial simply gives credence to those that bring claims against you. Your hole is deep and this is greatly amusing.

Learn how to lie, if you're going to lie, Red. Everyone knows the Horsemen sheltered the Reds for a long time before you became "enemies." Everyone knows that the leader of the Horsemen married a high ranking Red. So now suddenly "you were never allies?" Don't be so foolish. Your attempt to fool the people of Amia is a failure. Horsemen and Reds are allies. It's rather obvious.

Here's to keeping you honest,

Your Mother

*reads over a few responses and goes back to the base returning with a follow up notice it reads*

To those it would concern,

Your so bent on whether were good or evil, which is relative by the way, you miss what was actually said. We started out a free peoples militia then as we grew we had the vision of a free peoples city, the city of 'Genesis', new beginnings. Genesis is still being built, and we won't stop until it becomes a beacon of freedom and order, absent corruption we originally set out for it to be. With new beginnings there is, if you ask any druid, a time of decrease in the old and increase in the new, -this- is an Apocalypse a drastic change of the current state of things, which truthfully, could use some work right now. Think what you will, you few doubters. We really don't care what others think, we'll continue to keep the goal we have in mind, and help offering assistance when we can dealing with the suspicion and slander as we go. We don't need your good tidings or a pat on the back for what we do. We do so for the sake it needs to be done. Our latest actions in the last year should speak for themselves.

Oh and the Thayan lies, whats new right? I'll just say here the entire cave was rigged as a trap and a few Horsemen were beaten into unrecognition by falling rocks, we were not caught in our own explosion, there are records in Salandran temple to prove such. The injury records at the Salandran temple should show that they were indeed -not- the injuries of a 'ruse' but a full out battle, one of which the Horsemen siezed the victory. The explosion was triggered by Thayans, as you know full well are slavers and against there word to the Horsemen, don't seem to be changing that profession and would rather destroy what they would only see as "assets or profit" than to have the enemy take there 'spoils', terrible I know but we are talking Thayans. Speak with proof backing you or not at all, Red, and the blood of those slaves are on -your- hands. Our proof is at the Salandran Temple. If any of the Enclave escaped the blast, we were unaware of such, suffice it to say there base that, yes -we- gave to them, was destroyed and there were several bodies laying dead, the message was sent. They did not honor the agreement and work in harmony with the Horsemen and felt what dishonor gets those who would betray the Horsemen as an ally.

Concerning my wife, which it's actually none of your business but since you -had- to bring it up. We are no longer together and she has been removed of General rank and discharged from the Horsemen. The details of such are personal in nature. One individual in particular don't presume to hold a candle to my Mum, I find it distasteful and childish lowering yourself to that standard, besides, you wouldn't come close.

If you did not care, you would not be so defensive. You spent so much time attempting to change the island's view and are failing to your own aggravation.

"If any of the Enclave escaped the blast, we were unaware of such..." And yet their former leader writing upon this notice does not startle you and you see no reason to hunt her so much as share her words? Intriguing and amusing... You entertain greatly, munthrek.

A certain tiefling decides to respond with a more official response, sticking up the odd note on various signs.

There's no ambiguety behind what the Horsemen preach, do as we say not as we do. They fail at following their own rules, their leaders flaunt the laws of the land they reside and attempt to take in those that truly do stand for freedom into their 'custody'.

They are the definition of corruption. And bloodthirsty berks to boot. They wouldn't know freedom if it kicked them in the groin.

You know nothing of our 'Band', we are not a militia, and we will not parade around enforcing the flawed, immoral and ambiguous rules of the land. Count yourselves lucky that we do not strike over petty insults and that we, at least, can stay our blade in the face of such mockery.

Believe well, Ralten's Band!

Being a former horseman myself, i can assure the isle that the red wizards and the horseman were indeed allied, and are now enemies.

Be that as it may, They are still a bunch of evil, powerhungry and bloodthirsty tyrants who would love nothing more then to sit on thrones and rule amia.

Again hollow accusations and some to cowardly to even sign there name. If you've proof to such allegations then submit them to the proper authority, and ask that they leave notice here. If not and you post up here unfounded allegations expect to be stopped and questioned, not exceeding being arrested facing justice and sentencing.

Attention Inner Sanctum,

Muster the troops to prepare for battle, we will be attacking, possibly allied with the War Knights, the Thayan enclave within a half a tenday. For all rights and appearances destroying them. The entirety of what was Armegeddon and is now the Thayan Enclave base is rigged to explode. Doing this we'll cover most of the tracks. I've also sent notice to Phalanxyrian to bury them alive in a blizzard making sure that none escape. In actuallity I'm simply having buried any evidence of there survival. In so doing in all appearances the Horsemen will have destroyed the enclave and this alone will premote us to a grand acceptance among the people of Amia. I have faith this group can be of use to us in the future with a new name and completly unrelated to the old group.

Legion

Now as far as the regulars knew, they were attacking for true... Only the General, and her captains knew the truth.

*Pins a note under Sera's*

We all know how Sera rose to power she simply had Valorian killed to futher her ambition, and had the Red Wizards cover it up. It makes you wonder that shortly after the Red Wizard alliance, Valorian so called "Died because he was sick". Shortly after Sera rose to power pretty fast...hmm. Face the facts she had him offed and Andres and the Red Wizards covered it up. This was under at the time Vaulkin controlled the Red Wizards, now look at his position of power hmm. I believe the real story is she betrayed Vaulkin because he was going to black mail her but its been a huge cover up.

*a quick posting shows up not long from her last*

I've yet to see any official proof of these bold allegations, so you can write and sign a letter, so can I. I however wouldn't go so low as to make up such outragious claims, just to look better to an isle that will always hate you. You were around when the Horsemen commited all the attrocities were being judged for today, so at least you know where the hate stems from, I wasn't, and since I took over, I might add, it's all but stopped.

*note tacked* It wasn't a shot at you it was a shot at Sera and the Red Wizards.

*notices the reply going around to pick up any old notices she's posted that hasn't been taken down yet. She continues to take down her old notices in the varying places but leaves one.*

Crimson,

I wasn't speaking of you but of Sera, and you may be right. There is, unanswered questions surrounding Valorians death. Just so you know, as you deserve to, Valorian didn't get sick and die. He was found by Andras with a dagger in his heart, -apparently- he commited suicide. I was there personally when it happened. If you wish to meet on neutral ground to discuss this, which you are entitled too, I will agree to meet with you in a truce to do so. If you try anything, or deem to take advantage of this you will woefully regret it.

Valkin,

Our years of work are going to bear fruit. I have convinced Rose to tell me her true name, and will be using it to control her and to have our goals met through the horsemen, stupid fool of a woman. Let us bring Amia crumbling down to it's knees from our awesome power. Long live Thay!

You should have left Valorians good name out of this. I was going to leave this isle, but now I see that I can not. To Crimson.... I have another barrel for your undead kissing ass, and Rose, little miss devil... I have a barrel for your lying ass too.

Necromaster Mathan,

I do hope my ordering of Asham to tear you into pieces, stuff you in a barrel and deliver you to kohlingen didn't offend you too far. I have had need to keep up appearances that my goals are the same as the horsemen. I have been intrigued by unready for some time and hope to form an alliance with the followers of Velsharoon. I have a thorn in my side with Crimson, if you couldn't tell, and I am willing to make a deal. If you kill crimson, and keep her dead, or make her an undead servant, either way, I can manipulate my wife into having the horsemen covertly assisting you and your velsharran. I'm very certain you have problems with the fools of kelemvor and appearing to be an outside source, I can start a slow spread of propaganda against them. Have the isles turn against them, all you would need to do at that time is lay low and wait. I look forward to hearing your response.

General Praetoria.

Uh, i'm pretty sure FIRE isn't banned in Chillwyck. Thanks. Infact, it probably happens once a day or so, or more, because it's REALLY COLD in the Frozenfar.

His actions are fine.

// Wasn't going to post, but this rings true in the forests as well. If Xal is caught burning notices in the forests, he would be stopped immediately by any ranger or druid...hell, even some non-foresters would intervene.

"Mielikki will not tolerate senseless burning in the forests. If you don't like it, don't read it, most of it doesn't concern you anyway. Mielikki is watching."
Can be seen written on notes near any burned areas

// Oh come on. All these message-board-like letter chains are so utterly and thoroughly ridiculous that they deserve a little burning every now and then. Xal can probably run fast enough to pull it off and at least most of my chars would heartily approve.
