Anyways, recreating the classic 1000 HP build here. Credit to whoever it was who posted it in the old build thread; it's one of the more creative builds out there. 20 Barb -> 2 Fighter -> 8 CoT CON 20 (28) Feats: Great Constitution 9 Epic Toughness Toughness 1000 HP: 240 = 20 x 12 Barb HD 100 = 10 x 10 Fighter & CoT HD 180 = 9 x 20 Epic Toughness 480 = 30 x 16 Con Modifier + Toughness

The lulz factor is that Epic DR III and more Barbarian levels gives you a higher effective HP than that.
Just saying.

To Murex: I dunno how to make an exceptional spellblade with pm, but I can come with an option.. ? 10 wiz/16 pm/4 fighter. Gives your Tenser's +5 ab and can last for 20 rds, extended. If you go the bardic way, it begins to reek of cheddar I believe. Perhaps Baby Bell? Bavaria Blue? Bottom line, Tenser's works best with min. 20 levels of mage. 21 wiz/4 pm/5 wm perhaps? Can get around 65 ac with a +5 tower shield.

Trying to make a Malarite prowler type. A person who enjoys taking his time with the hunt, stalking you.. breathing down your neck.. until... ZAP, your wallet is gone. Can't say I know much about melee builds, but here is a go. Think it will do alright in real life Amia?

Come to think of it. Perhaps Rogue 19/Weapon Master 5/Fighter 6 will do. Extra rogue feat and 1d6.. perhaps getting 2d6 to sneak and ditch the crit improvement at WM 7.

That is called a Frank and I have the lesser version on a Straight Human base race. Probably one of the best builds I've ever used. Don't like the fact you went Chultan but its up to you to figure out how a Chultan worships Malar. You've got to many points in disable traps I think. I'm not entirely sure if you need that much in search either. Obviously I didn't have 13 con because I needed to spend those points to get 18dex and I lost an epic feat to great dex 1. I'd also go spotter rather than epic discipline. Also just out of ease to read, would you mind in future not posting your builds like that. All you need to do is give base race, ability and then feat listings EG: Chultan 14str 17(19)dex Pre-epic Class distro (fighter 5, weapon master 7, rogue Pre-epic feats: Weapon focus, Weapon finesse, weapon spec etc Fighter Bonus Epic Class distro (rogue 9 fighter 1) Epic feats: ewf, Fighter Bonus: Epic weapon Spec. Rogue Bonus: Crippling Strike, imp Evasion, Defensive Roll Skill distribution The only reason I ask is because the last two pages of the build thread I've ignored since I don't need a blow by blow description of a build. The less room you take up describing a build the better. Also I think you'll find that the long range on shorties wants: Fighter 8 WM 5 Rogue 17 Pre-epic WM 5 Fighter 7 Rogue 8 = 5 + 7 + 6 = 18 BAB vs Fighter 5 WM 5 Rogue 10 = 5 + 5 + 7 = 17 BAB

Ah, alright. I thought the more detail I put into it, the easier it would be to see its cons and pros. I didn't read that much about chultan yet, except in the subraces menu. Its still under construction, race and storywise. But noted, no more long builds.

Hmm, I've been thinking of a way to take advantage of the new Dev Crit. Does 13 Rogue/ 10 Fighter/ 7 WM or something like that with short swords work?
Basically I'm looking for a nasty debuffer. Spamming IKD or Called Shots on every attack; forcing your targets to roll a 1 for Dev Crit; Crippling Strike for STR damage; and raining sneak attacks everywhere. Use short swords with those on hit bonuses too for extra pain.

The disable traps skill points is to get epic traps disabled. Think I had a build before where I needed extra gear with 33 disable and 15 dex mod to get them. The search is basically because he is a hunter. Finding footprints and such. Also helps with finding traps, but I suppose a lense of detection can do that.

You only need to hit 58 to disarm any epic trap, assuming standard Bioware DCs. 43 is the highest detection DC. If you can count on getting minimum +10 Disable from items you only need 26 ranks in Disable with that character design.

Use short swords with those on hit bonuses too for extra pain. I have a Dwarf version of this with Improved Evasion and Crippling Strike it worked extremely well before the Dev Crit change. He was a heavy flail wielding bastard, RP'ed as an anchor. Very long pre-epic feat list right there. PA, Cleave, Great Cleave (3) Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Expertise, Whirlwind Attack (5) Weapon Focus, Improved Critical (2) Knockdown, Improved Knockdown, Called Shot (3) 13 if your not dualling 8 Standard + 5 Fighter will get you there meaning you should go 9 Fighter 7 WM 4 Rogue in pre-epic. Then you'll have a very boring epic feat list of Armor Skin, Epic weapon Focus, Over, Dev, Epic Skill Focus + Crippling and Improved Evasion. My Advice would be to go 11 Rogue 12 Fighter 7 WM and pick up Epic Weapon Spec dropping Improved Evasion and the epic skill focus.

@ Murex Your way takes up to much room and I automatically ignore posts that don't fit in half my PC's screen. The only reason I didn't ignore yours that time is because you quoted me.

I like to be able to view a build in one bite of the apple. That said I did look at Murex build and I'm curious as to how he got weapon specialisation without fighter levels.

On 22 base CON a pure Barb tops out at 750HP and gets another 390 from Mighty+default Rage for 1140, so you've plenty of wiggle room to go Barb28/Ftr1/Rogue1, which will give room for EDRIII anyway.

I think that's 17BAB? With STRmod 13, that gives you 38 unbuffed and pre-uberloot. Not much point being a WM when you'll not roll high enough to crit anything but mobs.

Its just not a worthwhile build. It doesn't make sense, for an AC build not taking a full tumble dump is suicide, you don't have UMD etc etc etc.
Also even as a Palemaster you need to have 20 in a caster stat, in your case intelligence, or you wont be able to use your epic spells which makes any PM levels over 10 nearly pointless.
I suggest therefore you look into 13 Bard 7 WM 10 PM. You'll be able to buff a little bit.

You could go for Cleric/Bard/PM - It's not to shabby. Even tho it's a bit nerfed, it would still make it rather easy to boost up decent AC/AB.

+2 AC +3 BAB actually on that Bard version.
Cleric Bard PM is fantastic for PvM.
Cleric 16 Bard 4 PM 10.
Suffers for lack of epic feats though, and once again has glaring holes in the build that I personally couldn't deal with.

Yes. It has plenty of holes but it is quite effective in pvm. Very effective as long as you got a bit of planning and good gear swapping awesomeness knowledge.

*Glbxt* Half-Orc Melee cleric, With THAT Many cleric levels? I -strongly- suggest 25 Cleric / 4 Fighter / 1 Rogue, or 23Cleric / 6 Fighter / 1 Rogue. 23Cleric / 6CoT / 1 Rogue works also For Caster clerics you need, And i emphasis on ' Need', Because that many cleric levels should by all standards become a caster cleric. #1Extend #2Maximize #3Silent #4Spell focus #5Greater spell Focus

I want a melee cleric with Mummy Dust, Greater Ruin, and Hellball.
I made a few Cleric/Fighter/Weapon Masters before, and they were good, but I want epic spellz for this build.

Personally, I'd drop Combat casting and Toughness for KD (Or Blindfight even) and Imp Crit, unless you've already took them.
Edit, your build looks a little wrong, you only have 10 INT and want a tumbledump, meaning you can only take two different skills, Tumble + Spellcraft. You'd need Concentration too. Also, you can't take Exotic first level
So if you haven't already made your char, I'd suggest these starting stats:
STR 16 (+2 Taken 24, 28) DEX 12 CON 14 INT 12 WIS 15 (+5 , taken 4, 8, 12, 16 + 20) CHA 6
This way you can get Concentration, Spellcraft + tumble!
NOTE: There is still a better way of doing it than this way, also.
Edit:
Here's the alternative:
STR 16 (+4 Taken 16, 20, 24, 28) DEX 12 CON 14 INT 12 WIS 15 (+3 , taken 4, 8, 12) Then +2 from Great WIS CHA 6
Also, I just noticed, you don't have Extend spell, would you be willing to drop Exotic Proficiency to gain that feat? I'd recomend it, myself.
And for Epic feats, I'd say Epic weapon focus + Epic prowess, unless you see something better than the +1 AB from that.

I allready made the character (L21) and he has all the great stuff he needs, but I guess I have to remake him for the 4th time. Oh well, Clerics are fun to play so I don't really mind all that much.
Question: Can only the epic feats listed in the wiki under Bonus Feats be taken and not general epic feats instead?

Query: What build would offer the most in the way of ray spells? I am considering making a warlock character and trying to figure out if it is possible to even emulate in NWN. ((3.5 warlock fluff/class abilities, not 4.0))
Edit: obvious spelling error. I hate type-"corrections" on mobile devices.

In standard NWN I think the risen lord shape alters only STR and CON, is it different here? This is one of those builds that dosent care about low AC I guess?

So, been thinking about a DEX-based Ranger/Monk. Something along the lines of 25/5, respectively. My questions are pretty straightforward.
Is it better to start on 18 DEX and put the extra points into INT so I can do more than Tumble, Discipline and Concentration and sneak some Spot, Hide and/or MS into the mix at the cost of 1 AC?
Also, is the difference between a pet for a level 24 ranger and that of a pet for a level 25 ranger really that important? If I could sneak 6 levels of monk in there I could nab IKD for free, but considering the really lame amount of damage the build would be doing against anything that wasn't a favored enemy I need that pet to be pretty beastly.

23 ranger 6 monk 1 rogue is by far the better.

The difference between a level 24 ranger, and a 25 Ranger in terms of a PET isn't that major. It's the 25:th ranger level that gives you +6AB/Damage vs fav.enemies that is important.

You don't get extra AB vs Favoured Enemy. Well, apart from a +2 bonus if (If? Heh.) you take Bane of Enemies. The difference between 23 Ranger and 25 (Pet/Caster level aside) is only 1damage/listen/spot. Nothing major.

Quote: Familiars and Animal Companions
The summoned creature gains the following benefits:
• Armor Class +1 / 2 CL
• Claw Enhancement +1 / 5 CL
• Regeneration +1 / 5 CL
• Attack Bonus +2 / 5 CL
• Universal Saving Throw Bonus +1 / 5 CL
• Resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage
• 1st – 10thCL: 5/-
• 11th – 20th CL: 10/-
• 21st – 30th CL: 15/- The difference is +2AB/+1 Damage +1 Regen +1 saves Do note though that I will be changing that script when I get around to fixing the familiars. That script may even disapear altogether because during the change to Companions I found that the script made it extremely hard to balance the Companions correctly. For the Monk/Ranger chap Pidge nailed it: 23 Ranger 6 Monk and one other class. (I say harper scout because its cool and because you can afford the two feats with the six Monk levels)

I knew about the standard leveling bonuses to the companions, but I vaguely remembered you doing some touch-ups on them and couldn't find anything on it when I posted. Since then, I found that it's just some balance issues and some reskinning at 21.

Most of the good abilities come a little later yes.
To be honest about it level 25 companions do gain +1 AB due to epic levels aswell.
However level 23 Ranger is pretty good and the Harper Scout level will give you another fav. enemy choice whilst your picking up +1 AC and IKD. Ultimately your decision.
Realistically speaking you could even go 1 PDK in that free class slot. Or 1 Druid if your going lawful neutral and net some +2 AB in wilderness areas. Are you going Kama' by the way?

Mage has ray of frost, negative energy ray, ray of enfeeblement, umm.. use lightning bolt and rp it as a electriciy ray? Cleric has negative energy ray and searing light.. there aren't really any ray spells above level 3. If you want a warlock, make a blackguard and use the rod from Kohlingen to shoot infinite rays of frost

I was thinking Lawful Neutral and hadn't even thought of Druid for the +2 AB. I'm still in the air about which weapons to use. I want a dual-wielder, but just can decide. Considering it's a DEXer, the damage will be pretty sub-par unless it's against a favored enemy, so I'm going to need crits to really do anything. But, on the other hand I don't want to be super-cheesy and go rapier, either.

Small weapons work the best for dualwielding. Handaxe and shortsword are always good, solid choices, but I've played a Rangers with medium sized weapons and dualwielding, and it has always been great. Mainly because there are so awesome Dwarven Waraxes in the game, though.

Handaxes my friend. Your better of with the big crit damage than the long crit range I've found. Heres my take on an elf Ranger 23 Druid 1 Monk 6 anyway. Quote: Wood Elf Lawful Neutral 12(14) Strength (6) 18dex (10) 10 con (4) 14 wis (6) 14(12)int (4) 8 cha (0)
Skillpoints: 169 (33 discipline, 30 tumble, 10 AE, 33 Spot, 33 hide, 20 MS, Points in Set Trap)
Pre-Epic 20 ranger Feats: Blooded, WF, Imp Crit, Blindfight, SF spot, Alertness, Toughness(?)
Epic: 1 Ranger 1 Druid 6 Monk 1 Ranger Epic Feats: Bane of Enemies (21), Epic Skill focus spot (24), Armor Skin (27), Great Dex (30) Ranger Epic Bonus Feat: Epic Weapon Focus Maximise your Strength and Dex. Use owls insight scrolls to max your wisdom modifier to the requisite 6. Max strengthed will be a 8 modifier so you're only 6 damage lower than the strength feller. AC will not be a problem since your monk AC will be 7. Your looking at what 14 dex + 7 Monk = 21 Bog standard fullplate and +5 tower = 17. So really compared to the Strength version your trading out 6 damage for 4 AC. Oh and the nice thing is that your looking at 63 base spot before items vs Fav. enemies or there abouts. Pretty handy.

But, on the other hand I don't want to be super-cheesy and go rapier, either. I have a pure level 21 dex based ranger myself and damage really isn't too much of an issue at least in pvm. With Flame weapon, + mods from str items, +dam from weapon, Blade Thirst can keen and give any weapon you have +5, and the fact your companion will be hitting fully buffed around 50 damage at times (At least if you get the Panther, or Boar) you will be surprised to see that you and your companion will be the best damage dealers in a group many times. Then of course if you are fighting your favorite enemy... pew... even more damage. Edit: This is coming from a Ranger who uses dual Kukri so it crits -a lot- making up for some of the low rolls.
