As I understand it, devils who die on the Prime are demoted in the Hells. You may be a badass immortal Cornugon, but you don't want to die because you'll get sent back home as a maggot. I don't remember where I read this, though, so I don't know if it applies categorically.

I do not think it is a default standard, but more that you failed your superior and he can punish you by demotion for failing him.

Tadaa! Demons, Devils, and Death:

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss wrote:
Death

The topic of what happens to demons when they die is another cause of much debate. In general, however, both the Black Scrolls and the Demonomicon acknowledge the following basic concepts.

Outside the Abyss: If a demon is killed on another plane, its body eventually returns to the Abyss - unless trapped through magical means, such as a dimension anchor spell. (See the Demonic Death Throes sidebar for more details on how demon bodies sometimes disappear.) No matter what happens to the demon's body, if it is killed outside of the Abyss, its "essence" falls back into the raw chaos of the Abyss, where it is then reformed as a new demon.

It is unclear whether these reincarnated demons begin again at the bottom of the cycle, or if they are just demoted, but everyone seems certain that death can only be seen as a failure for a demon, so it is unlikely to avoid punishment altogether. Thus, when a demon dies on another plane, it risks falling back into the general pool of demonspawn and can find itself "demoted" in power and essence, which is not to be taken lightly. For example, a vrock sent to wreak havoc on the Material Plane faces a very real danger if it fails in its mission. If the PCs defeat it and send it shrieking back to the Abyss, it can find itself back in the body of a dretch, a rutterkin, or even a mane. Even balors risk this eternal cycle when they battle for their Abyssal lords. Only the direct intervention of a demon prince can possibly spare this punishment.

The important exception to all of this occurs when a demon is summoned out of the Abyss magically, in which case it simply returns unharmed when the spell ends (or when the demon is destroyed), no matter what happens to it in the meantime. Thus, demons summoned to the Material Plane have little fear of death.

Within the Abyss: If a demon is killed while within the Abyss, it is permantently destroyed - both its body and its essence. For this reason, many demons are relatively more cautious on their home turf than when wreaking havoc on another plane. While a demotion through reincarnation is not ideal, most demons view it as a much better option than complete annihilation.

Fiendish Codex II: Tyrants of the Nine Hells wrote:
Mortality

Devils do not die of old age. Most are ageless; in fact, some can trace their origins to a mythic past, before time was measured as it is now. Regardless of when they were created, most devils display no outward signs of aging. However, some especially tough and wrinkly specimens appear visibly decrepit, usually due to a curse, supernatural ailment, or general depletion of divine energy.

A devil slain in the Nine Hells stays dead. A devil slain outside Baator devolves into a puddle of foamy, stinking ooze over a period of 3 to 9 minutes. This residual soul essence registers as both magical and evil. Any mortal ingesting it must make a successful DC 20 Fortitude save or become sickened for 2d4 hours.

Whether or not its residue is disturbed, a slain devil returns to Baator 99 years later, in its original form, at full hit points. This method of transport leaves behind any physical possessions the devil might have carried, including magic items and treasure, even if they originated in Baator. Depending on the nature of its defeat, the devil might experience no repercussions, or it might face demotion for failure. Lowly devils are the likeliest to suffer demotion.

Super-Fantaliciously-awsome khylaria!

Next question is about Lycantropy, Thought
I need a source, Aka - A lorebook or any DnD Material to read. I've been at the library here in my hometowm and searched a bit on the internet, but to no avail. I cannot find a good DnD sourcebook on the topic.

But i do find a lot of Myths and folklore.
It's horribly contradicting, and sometimes entirely different from what we view in movies and/or read in stories.

Wildshape is wildshape, Lycanthropy is different entirely. It's a disease/curse or a gift, depending on who is asked.

Do any of the drow deities sponsor rangers or druids? Specifically Ghaunadaur, Lolth, or Selvetarm.

Any deity can sponsor rangers, probably. Eilistraee does for certain.

None of the drow gods sponsor druids canonically, no. If somebody tries to tell you something about "blood druids" or whatever drow variants, it's nonsense. Malar is a possible patron in Lolthite society, I guess. And personally, I can see Ghaunadaur sponsoring a particular type of freaky druids, but that's not canon.

Out of curiosity, since the Demonology job essentially focuses on the knowledge of lower planars, about how many points of lore (fiendish)would each rank translate into? I'm guessing that'd be up to the DM present, but a bit of a guideline wouldn't hurt.

They are probably either metahysical knowledge or in some way created and expended, though it's never detailed how anywhere. When my PC went about making his own epic spell years ago, I RPed thta they were physically created objectys, small glowing spheres of power. Like seeds.

there are a few 3.5 ones not in that list, for example 'damage' which I assume is where GR comes from =D (since energy is specifically the elemental powers not neg/positive.)

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/3.5e_Epic_Spells,_Seeds,_and_Powers

as for what they are, I think tormak has the right idea. there is one important detail though

Quote:
Resource Cost

The development of an epic spell uses up raw materials costing a number of gold pieces equal to 9,000 × the final Spellcraft DC of the epic spell being developed.

so to 'make' a seed, however that works, you need 9k x spellcraft, which is either 288000 gp or 810000 gp, for a hellball, as an example (the higher cost is the pnp version, which requires 90 spellcraft instead of 32.)

ed: I was about to say certain components specific to certain things could be used as factors BUT it states that factors are not seeds...so it must be something else ?

I've never found anywhere that actually details the custom creeation of epic spells. The factors, their applications, seed,s and etc just seem to be tossed in there with no real explanation or how-to instruction manual.

Crittable = not a construct. Constructs are all immune to critical hits. Living creatures with metallic skin are still living creatures, and thus crittable.

Probably mainly Illuskan, Chondathan, Tethyrian and Calishite. These are ethnicities, not "subraces", and the way Amia handles those ethnicity regions is pretty poor. Your region is supposed to determine your starting equipment, languages and one feat, not give you free feats and ability modifiers.

REGIONAL HISTORY

Wharftown was formed as a fishing village and remains so to this day from a pool of the same settlers that founded Cordor. The settlers intended for Wharftown to be a secondary, optional port that was at a slightly higher elevation than the Cordorian lowlands near where Cordor is built today, and this came in handy in these early years of settlement when monsoons flooded the lowlands or typhoons damaged or destroyed the ports in the Cordor settlement. The people living near this small western port eventually grew into their own community of fishermen, relatively happy with their parcel of land. As the optional port became its own separate settlement, the people of newfound Cordor informally referred to it as Wharftown.

Quote:
The city of Cordor, like all cities, was once but a small village, nestled along a quiet strip of shoreline on the southern coast of the isle of Amia. A hearty stock of human fishermen maintained the town, and a strong sense of pride was present among the citizens. When a wrecked and battered ship careened into the harbor one day, the fate of Cordor, and all of Amia would be changed forever. This was the first boat of refugees to find Cordor’s port. Eagerly, the townsfolk took in these haggard peoples, integrating them into their own. It was the first generation that literally carved out the rugged land with roads and settled the largest island, Amia.

Cordor is the founding point of Amia's human civilization, though their exact regional point is not stated. It is reasonable to assume they are probably either Sword Coast or Ruathymi, though immigrants have surely ensured a muhc more mixed population by now on the little melting pot of the island.

Fromians can be native to material plane, ergo they die normally, as for example tieflings and aasimars do.

Spells that restore souls to their bodies, such as raise dead, reincarnate, and resurrection, don’t work on an outsider. It takes a different magical effect, such as limited wish, wish, miracle, or true resurrection to restore it to life. An outsider with the native subtype can be raised, reincarnated, or resurrected just as other living creatures can be.

Formians are specifically Extraplanar Outsiders (MM pp. 109-110), meaning exactly what Gunz said holds (as opposed to Native Outsiders). I would presume any Formian born on the Prime to remain an Extraplanar Outsider (the only reason Tieflings are Native Outsiders is because they have the ancestry of a native to the plane and an Outsider to the plane).

To answer ShadowSoul89's original question, there are two kinds of Outsider - Native and Extraplanar. All the Extraplanar ones are bound by what Gunz quoted, while the Native ones can be raised like normal creatures, and need to sleep and eat.

I'd like the same for Aquatic Elves if anyone can help point in the right direction. It doesn't have to be PM'd per-say, but I'd need websites or so forth included where the stuff can be found.

Aquatic elves... Elves of Faerun Volume 1

Quote:
Outlook
The Aquatic Elves are aloof as any other
Elven subrace, although they still see value in alliance
and trade with other N’Tel’Quessir races. The
Alu’Tel’Quessir are generally isolated from other Elves,
though they still have similarities in culture and history
with their land bound kin. Community, in any form, is
important, as are alliances, as the seas are a
dangerous place. They see the arrogance and
divisiveness of the other Elven subraces to be
detrimental to their survival, and as such, make their
best efforts to not emulate such behavior.
Those who do not fully understand the
psychology of a Sea Elf sees this kind of behavior as
paranoid, and skittish, as they are never fully trusting of
anyone who is not of their kin, or community. However,
as, in their history, the Aquatic Elves have been tricked,
and taken advantage of time and time again, the Sea
Elves have learned their proverbial lesson, and believe
they can only trust those they inherently know. All
outsiders, no matter how true and genuine they seem,
can and usually do have ulterior motives.

Quote:
Aquatic Elf Characters
Because magic is nearly unheard of in their
society, Aquatic Elves tend toward more martial classes
than those of magic. Many become Fighters or Rangers
due to the presence of evil aquatic races that they find
themselves at odds with. Although the sea elves usually
don’t find themselves drawn to the path of the Wizard or
the Cleric, they often become Bards. With the
properties of sound beneath the waves, song becomes
a powerful medium for magic and stories alike. Aquatic
Elves are more likely to become sorcerers than
wizards.
Favored Class
Fighter is the favored class of the Aquatic
Elves. Considering the sheer number of evil denizens of
the deep, fighting skills are valued. Sea elf fighters tend
to specialize in speed and melee combat over the
stealth and archery with which the surface elves are so
famed.
Prestige Classes
Some Aquatic Elves choose to become
Sashelan Aquarians, to help defend their homes from
threats that extend even past the shoreline.

Quote:
Aquatic Elf Society
Aquatic Elf society is structured into a loose
feudal system, where the nobility follows a patriarchal
inheritance structure. Most political power falls upon the
eldest male child of a ruling family. Despite all of this,
women still exercise a good degree of influence in
Aquatic Elf society, and power is not vastly divided
based on sex.
The Sea Elves also form very close-knit
communities and relationships with each other. In the
eyes of the Alu'Tel'Quessir, community means survival.
Every resident or family in an Aquatic Elven community
has a dwelling for themselves, or their family. However,
society dictates that personal property is nonexistent,
and that property belongs to the entire community.
When one is in need of an item, they are usually
welcome to use whatever tool or object is needed that
is in the possession of another. However, this idea of
communal property doesn’t include those that are not
Aquatic Elves, even if they live in an Alu’Tel’Quessir
settlement.

Elves of Faerûn, is that the one also known as the Elven Netbook, headed by Lord_Karsus?

It seems pretty correct, though the thing has some homebrew, flavor and speculation too.

It is by Steven Sapya "Lord_Karsus" you are correct there... I normally don't use the fluff also he seems to have mixed up wood elves and wild elves and somewhat combined them... I disagree with that in truth.

I'm looking for as much information as possible. This is for something down the road, so the more information I have the better to work with.

Thanks!
