"Coalition of Powers" (meet time arrangements)

"This thread is to organize the meeting time for the "Coalition of Powers", several ic PM have been sent out regarding this, and i know that with time and the numbers involved that it will require some level of occ time arrangements that everyone can give there say on.

so if you want to attend the meeting as detailed in the IC letters sent out, just post your availability hear, the meeting at this point will be hosted.

28th Nov at 11pm (GMT +8)

I have found this time bracket gets more players in on the deal that another, however please let me know if everyone has a better idea of a more appropriate time to get the most attendance.

Thats 2am in morning for me. No idea if i'll be up then. Even if i am i will likely be extremely tired thus not thinking straight. Bad time for me.

ok, well instead of "i cant come" report your timezone and appropriate times you all can attend and i dont mean whats convenient mean what can be done, i dont want to arrange a time so you can sleep in or some such but a time we can all meet together

Well, I'm leaving town with the g/f to go to her 10 year high school reunion. So, I'll be out of town from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. Other than that, I'll have to take a look at my work schedule before I can tell you what a good time will be. I normally have Tuesday's off, so anytime then may very well be perfect, but I'll have to take a look at my schedule before you put anything in ink.

right but daylight savings time is in effect so you want EDT which is -4 GMT

Oh, uh, right. We go back to EST in about a week though, for those who do it.

I can't make Sunday at all unless it's night at my time which is when you are sleeping or just waking up. haha

I can make it from nowish 7am (-6 gmt/CDT) till anytime Midnight , possibly 1am at the latest. The only days I cannot make it in the morning for me will be Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

And yes if it's on Saturday (Nov 7th) it is Daylight Savings time for some of us. Shouldn't be too big of a problem..everyone who gets confused would be an hour early.

I'm available all Daytime/afternoons GMT+0 on Sunday and Saturday. I won't be available likely between 01:00-10:00 +0GMT any day. 10:00 is still abit early but i can always make an effort.

Uhhh.... (GMT -6/CST) I think our daylight savings is Monday, but idk. Should be free all weekend up to Midnight Monday morning. Weekdays im free from about like 4pm-Midnight.

Im aviable from 19.00 to 22.00 gmt exept for satureday then 19.00 to whenever.

Just convert for me what ever time you set into EST then I'll try to be there.

To make things a bit simpler, I'll just give my normal availability.

Sunday, Wednesday - Friday: 6p - 2am EST
Monday, Tuesday: 11pm - 2am EST
Saturday: Really sketchy

As Hasad is dead and possibly permanately I likely won't be at the meeting, unless Sara requests Vistigor's presence for such.

Just meant oocly I no longer have have any say in the matter in this anymore.

ok this may be next weekend by the looks i will be doing up a table with our times in ot and highlight the best spots for us to all meet so if there are anymore than may come pleas posts your timezones our you miss out on having your say about meeting times, as once the Coalition is up an going it will probably stay that time for most meetings.

You could also try holding two meetings at serperate times for those who are unable to attend.

Please attend if you can if not have someone else represent your factions or be your eyes & ears at the meeting, there will be a second meeting held, but this meeting is critical an hashing out the politics and rules of said coalition, thus if you are not present you will not get as much say.

The time you have for the U.S. is CST. PST is 1 hour behind that, making it 8 a.m. and EST is an hour ahead, 10 a.m.

Also, you didn't put a day for the meeting and if I can throw in my two cents, I'd say that holding a faction accountable for having OOC priorities that may conflict with others OOC availabilities in an IC sense may not be the best foot to get off on with this kind of idea. It will do very little to motivate people to want to be included if they know that they're just going to get shafted before they even step foot into the meeting.

Having set up many dates for meetings of several factions back when I was leading a drow house, the best way to do this is to set the meeting for a time well in advance. 3 weeks at the least. That usually gives people enough time to free up their schedule or at least make IC provisions for not being able to attend.

thx for the input, iv organized my fair share of meetings on an off amia, an i have given weeks of notice to people to give in timezones and now well over a week to ensure they can attend the 21st, so id say its all pretty covered.

as for the occ/ic stuff you mentioned, truth is if people have a real occ reason they cant come well fair enough, but TBH, i am tired of setting up a meeting and people not attending as they got an invite to the pub.

i got a social life outside amia also, but i try not to let it impact with my amia commitments an vice versa lol amia is like a "club" for say basketball, its a team game lol if some of the players are to busy drinking or doing other things to attend it well i don't really want them involved in the first-place as they will not be committed

ultimately i know its a game, but i am not hear to care about your occ social commitments when i play on amia i am hear to play on amia, this of course changes as people "bond" an know each-other thus when someone knows another is reliable they get slack, otherwise i don't offer any "slack".

an i have done what i can to adjust to peoples timezones, seeming i will be staying up to 11pm at night till 1 in the morning to ensure that others have a more suitable time an will increase attendance for those who are not willing to play to early or to late.

Tho if this meeting has major issues i will ensure to give an extra weeks notice next time.

For Americans and Canadians, you're looking at work. I think I've got the day off, but I'm not completely sure yet and no offense to Amia or the players here, but I can't waste my valuable vacation days to make a meeting. I only get 9 a year, so I have to use them very wisely.

totally agree, only reason i play so much is im a student that has a budget that includes uni fee food rent leaving me with almost nothing lol

anyhow, i thought that 21 is a Sunday for me that usually means that it a Saturday for you, are you working on a Saturday or are these times messed up.

At that time it's the 21st here. When the meeting ends at 1 a.m. it'll be the 22nd for you, but it'll still be the 21st here. Anything before 1pm for you is the day before for us, anything after 1pm and we're on the same day.

Count me out- Sunday morning I work.. unless I can get a later shift. Which I may not because I work when people are in church - so usually I am the only one who can. I'll try to make it.

I also don't represent any factions-so I may find someone to go for me.

The meeting is PM, not AM, if you are infact in the Netherlands still.

Also, this time is fine for me, so long as i do not get kidnapped by space ninja's.

Can EVERYONE who might or may or could or should attend post there timezones pleas i will again run though the event table and post it up to make sure everyone can see when it would be during there timezone. it should be one of the better time for us all i thought.

As long as it doesn't chage, I should be good with the time posted. I may be a bit late as it's kinda early for me to get up on my day off, but I'll try my best.

This has been pushed forward to

22th Nov at 11pm (GMT +8)

that's 24hr bump, as my Exam times were changed *sigh* an i now have my final exam Monday, an cant be staying up till 1-2 in the morning the night before it on amia.

if this turns out to be to much of a drama it will be pushed forward another week, as i know there is a bunch of things taking place that complicate this meeting. (thanksgiving, holidays, work an other ic-events)

Still at college then. Won't be there.
