I'd keep them. Just in case something happens. And if you delete them now, you can not log in Amia at all until tomorrow when its updated.

I seriously recommend installing an app that supports 7zip. It is so much better.

WinRAR will unzip 7z. I suggest you get that if you haven't. And really I think WinZip even unzips 7z. You just need to right click and say to open with your WinZip.

PeaZip is a good (un)archiver. Not for the novice but works really well.

You'll notice when you need the hak. You won't be able to login without it. You can get 7-zip here, and it's free: http://www.7-zip.org/

I find JZip to be the best archiver so far. Does .zip, .rar, and .7z.

WinRAR. It can open 7zips and others like it anyway, and it's free as well.

Looks like there could be no Amia for me for a while. My connection has DL speeds of 2KBps >.> The joys of mobile internet never stop.
It says 5+ hours for the dowload to be completed ... Hopefully it wont disconnect halfway through.

My mobile internet setup took just under two hours, mostly sitting around the 8kbps rate. Which is super low. I usually download anywhere from 50-150.

I recommend all who has a ton of archiving tools to take a good look at a freeware called IZArc.. it is easy to use and very simple to learn. It works with all the file-types(?) above and so many more.
The is however one bad part about IZArc according to me and that is that it's not happy about unpacking special selected folders. I've had some issues where I've tried unpacking selected folders from a larger file and just recieved an empty folder. However, this is most likely a human error since I haven't checked my options in the program yet.
Though it has served me well for a year now and I have no other complaints.

Former actions suggest Disco may split the hak up into chunks.

Did the sidebar HAK section get updated? I used the self installer just now but the "date modified" of the HAK files didn't change. I hope I didn't waste all that time.

Disco, is there any chance you can break it up into 20-25 megabyte chunks, for those who don't have a stable connexion?

If he can't be bothered I've already done such, just need a stable place to upload. Be aware however that uploading in 20MB chunks actually increases the overall size to 111mb's.

Took me about 4 min to download, and another 4 to unzip. I didn't delete the old .hak files if that is acceptable.

A while back I used to do alot of work on Japanese games, during a gundam-Mecha phase I had, I had to do alot of unzipping and work with alot of weird file types, 7z are nothing. Go out and try to find a freeware program called UltimateZip. It's ten times better than WinZip or WinRaR, extracts in half the time, and takes alot of sweat and work off of you with it's convenient options.
Go on, try it.

Personally I'd rather use 7zip to open 7z files, mostly because split 7zip files have had issues with being extracted with Winrar. Hosted on Mediafire. Amia Hak In 20 MB parts. http://www.mediafire.com/?k0prq2466evar

I am chopping it up in 10 MB bits as we speak. Uploading takes a bit, though. I will offer self-installer for WinXP, zip, 7z, and chopped up 7zip. That should cater about everybody. I think I'll update the module tonight. I am around myself to help folks. It may be a handy thing to make a few mirror sites, though. If you got download space, please upload a hak pack and post your link here. We'll probably have a download spree tonight. Updating the module will take a while, though. I hope it's done in time.
