Just wondering, when in an Animal form from the one thousand faces widget, is it possible to shift into another form, or do you need to change to one of the other races, Human/Elf/Drow etc..?

You can use a normal shifter shape while in an animal form provided by 1000 faces. That widget only changes your appearance, nothing more, while shifter feats polymorph you.

I worded that funnily, what I mean is, is it allowed to shift from an Animal form (activated with the one thousand faces) to another form, or is that not allowed since you don't have hands for the somatic property?

You can use all spells/actions/items while in shifted form using thousand faces.

So yes, from one animal to the next using thousand faces, you do not have to return to humanoid form.

Though you probably shouldn't cast spells period, since you've neither a voice nor hands with which to perform verbal or somatic components while in animal form. And since items are considered to merge into your form when shifted (though this cannot be accomplished with the 1000 faces tool) you probably shouldn't use items either.

Speculation, though.

Yeah, you can go from animal form to animal form. Casting spells that require hands and talking in animal form though? Bad.

This is going to sound like a dumb question, probably, but as a curiosity, I know that shifter forms are to be considered unrecognizable, magically or otherwise, from the real thing. Is the same true of the 1000 Faces forms?

I rather like the idea of that implementation, and I don't play a druid or a shifter.

IT's more of a "It's harder to regulate and babysit people casting spells in animal form than it is to just say Druids with Thousand Faces also have Natural Spell while using Thousand Faces, specifically."

Yeah, it's the same for the one-thousand faces.
