Working on the hak again. I imported the heads and hands (so you don't need overrides any more and we all got the same stuff). I am adding a few extra critters and props, two cloaks and a new robe (and perhaps an extra torso), and two tilesets. I also updated one tileset to the current version in the vault. ... anyway, the bad news is that this means that you will have to download everything again and is 30MB larger than it used to be (most of that is hands and heads, of course). Mind that there is no new hak available yet, this is just a warning in advance. I am waiting for a few items from a player (shields will get an overhaul) and need to make a nice test module too. I'll make sure you got plenty of time to download the new haks before they are needed to enter the server. New tilesets are Wildlands and Wild Woods from Sixesthrice ( http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7947). Real forest at last.

Some devils and demons, a few sea critters, and a few classic DnD critters that we don't have yet. Not a lot, I want to keep the size of the hak down. I guess somewhere between 10 and 20 in all.

So we'll be able to delete the head/hands from overrides, which is good. If we have head files from other servers, though, will they override what's in the Amia hak? Or will they work fine on the other servers and not affect Amia's heads?

Overrides will override anything, so you still have to keep other server's stuff out of your override folder when playing Amia.

So when the update kicks in, it will override every little download we've done so far? Just got a new computer, so I might as well wait a day so that you set the big fish loose. I can download everything I need with a single click, right?

I really don't wanna ask that any of the new creatures be spoiled, but I have to. Is Marut in the mix? There's a few really good ones out there somewhere, and it kinda makes me a sad panda that we gotta use Shield Guardian for our Maruts right now.

Time to pack up the NWN-CQ Rural Tileset me thinks.
And I'd like to make it known that the Katar is infact an indian weapon, not chinese or japanese, so could possibly be excluded from your driving hate Disco?

Does anyone know how to alter the types of armor? Say, how to chnage Chain Shirt from Medium, to Light armor? I looked around but I can't find anything, and Disco didn't have any luck either. Any takers? I suppose that's a hint as to what might be in sotre, if we can make it work.

The Armor Types are Hardcoded to the Ac of the armor. So If you have Armor Base AC 1: It is light. There is no way in the 2da's or scripts to change the armor type.

TormakSaber wrote: I saw that too, and hoped in vain that there was a way round it. May be a way, but it would change the chain shirt for every chain shirt in the game, not just the one specfic item. I'll take a look. I tend to know my way around 2da's. Edit: So little look reveals as said, they are hardcoded, I like to prove these things to myself rather then taking someones word, however it presented a novel idea. If the issue here is that the look isn't on the light armor, and thus you cannot get the chain shirt look on light armor, then simply extract the texture for the chain shirt chest area, and add it as an additional model/texture for the light armor. This will allow you to wear light armor, but have the look of a chain shirt. Profecenies are still required to wear, but you could also do the reverse and add leathers to that AC.

No, I wanted chain shirt itself, the 4/4 armor, to be Light Armor. Can't do that so it's right out.

Question - will you add the kobold and goblin overrides into the hak? I only ask because these are so much better than the vanilla ones.

If Kobos and Gobs will be handled by custom halfling appearances, there is no longer a need for the override.

Not going to add overrides to monsters etc. I like that you can make the choice how gobbos look like yourself.
