*the following notices are posted at the northernmost and westernmost gates of Cordor, as well as the larger inner gates, the docking facilities, and the temple of Waukeen*

To the Adventuring Populace and Citizens of the Commonwealth of Cordor,

It has been determined that for a more peaceful and safer city that a new regulation be enacted regarding the status of weapons within the city. Henceforth, no drawn weapons will be permitted inside the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Cordor. Bows must be slung over the back or unstrung, crossbows must be stowed, and all bladed weapons and clubs need to be in a sheath, pack, or hung from the belt while within the confines of the city. Magi Staffs and Quarterstaffs are acceptable at this time, however this status may change if misuse of such items occurs on a regular basis for means other than physical support or benign focus of magical ability. Weapons may be drawn to defend oneself but only in the instance of a clear and direct threat against ones person, harassment and verbal posturing are not considered such.

As per the reasons for enacting this code, violations are considered a disturbance of the peace. If you have a drawn weapon you will be asked once to put it away, failure to comply could result in a fine or removal from the city at the discretion of the arresting officer. There is no negotiation on this matter.

May this help bring greater peace to the Commonwealth.

~The Cordorian City Guard~

A man in shadowy armor with a gleaming, vibrating sword sees the notice and does not sheath his blade.

"I'll put my weapon away when the 'guard' decides they will put theirs away as well."

a man simply laughs

"This isn't news, other than they are admiting they really -do- want to ban staves, ha, next it will be magical peace bonds and someone will be clever enough to sneak in and..."

"Vin" simply shakes his head, laughing somewhat histerically, muttering something about cordorian stupidity. and why peacebonds are a bad idea.

Cassius nods in satisfaction to the announcement. He has seen his own fair share of violence done by adventurers and their ilk. Yet in his mind, it is not enough, for those that cast spells are now given the advantage.

"This law is only a half measure, unfair and unjust. When they ban staffs in hand will they choose a side of the road, rather than walking the middle as they do now. The caravan that hits them for walking this middle path may be large indeed", he says, speaking to himself and chuckling lightly.

A farmer walks up to the board and tacks a note to it before walking off toward the farmlands.

"What about monk's, would you have them sheathe their fists?"

the man shakes his head as he continues on.

A fully armored man tacks a note up.

Staves are not banned because many elderly, and even injured adventurers must use them for walking.

During one of his many journey's through Cordor, Tyrus spots one such note. Reading it, he shrugs, the notice hardly relevant to him as he never runs around like an idiot with his sword free.

Ianthe makes short work ripping one specific post down, and leaving her own.
Sand, report to me at your earliest opportunity.
