Are there helmet graphics for skullcaps, circlets, tiaras, crowns, etc.; basically any kind of head gear that isn't a fully encompassing helmet?
Just wondering. I'd like to have a skullcap or circlet for my wizard, helmets just look weird.

Nope, you're basically stuck with losing your head if you put anything in the helmet slot.

They want just the head + stats from gear...
Possible maybe like with some of the ACP people cant see if you have a cloak on. Perhaps its possible to have a toggle switch in rest menu for helmets?
To appear or dissapear?

Its possible to have a helm that shows nothing but your normal head.
It is not possible to have a helm with is open faced or revealed some form of the head.
Given certain people's disgust at the invisable cloak, I highly doubt an invisable helm will be added to the game. Given the invisable cloak was only added to placate the majority that wanted it, and to promote the use of sheaths and quivers. There is no real reason to add an invisable helm. You wear a helm, you have a helm on. Which is why there is no "circlets" in game xD.

Argh. I need a helmet, but it looks stupid on a character wearing nothing but a shirt and pants.
How do I do an invisible cloak? I could use that.

Maybe just use the hood appearance? That way you can RP with your cloak on with a hood. If not, just as a hood you have around that is imbued with magic that protects you.
Or, you could do the holies of holies and not wear a helm. Ever. Dedication to RP ftw.

"You want it you wear it."
There is no way for you to have an invisible cloak, unless you use an override to make said cloaks invisible. But then only YOU can not see them, anyone else will still be able to see it, and will Rp accordingly I wager.

If you use an unarmed ACP option, your cloak becomes invisible to you and all others too, regardless if they have downloaded ACP or not.
You can also see a backpack or quiver or etc if you re-equip it.
I believe the cloak shows up too if you re-equip it, but you can set the ACP option again to make it go away.

I'd be more of a fan of Backpacks and Quivers being added as cloak models.
Dunno if its possible though.

Well to me it makes sense.
That silly rapid shot cloak would make a ton more sense as a tagged-uncraftable quiver.

It can be done.
You can get equipable wings that are basically just the wing model placed as a cloak. Given the scabbard and the backpack are also wing models, they can be made into cloaks also.
The way to do it is to track down where the model is, extract the model file, and rename it to a cloak. Pretty simple actually... Course I could be just saying that because my sleep deprived brain isn't registering the fiddling bits such as postioning, file type and what defines a model as a cloak file. But it would theoritically be that simple...maybe I'll take a look in the morning...
Edit: Yep, it works like that. The postioning need adjusting, but you can transfer the apperance of the wings to a cloak. I haven't figured out how to repostion them yet.

Errr, Better screenie. As you can see, quiver. Its set as a cloak. I'm lazy however and couldn't be bothered changing the icon used, or anything else. Basically, you'd need to go through and reposition every single quiver for every race and gender, not that big of a job really. Then you have to give it a name with a free cloak slot, and that should do the trick. No idea what the free cloak slots are. Mahtan may know. I don't know. It can turn into a big job, and now I think about it, seems a bit of a waste of time when you consider that the invisable cloak simply does what this would, except doesn't force the quiver. You still get bonuses and stuff, and if you change the cloak to invisable you can attach a quiver to it and it will show up. Seems like a lot of work for something thats not really worth it.

I could use a backpack if it makes my cloak invisible. The backpack is suitable for my character. Is that apart of the job system, or can I buy one from someone?

Does the invisible cloak, magical backpack come standard with asinging map? Or do you have to pay a dc for that feature?

My barbarian character has one of those sword scarrabs on her back so she can't where a cloak, missing out on a lot of skill points but heck, I should wear a scarrab then. I fully agree with if you don't see it you're not wearing it. (ok I've made cloth armour look like metal and full plates like other armour, but lets not go there right now)

The issue is that it should be possible to wear a cloak and have a sheath strapped over top of it, or underneath it. Unfortunatly due to how sheaths have been made, it is not. Same goes with Quivers.
Since we are limited due to mechanics, I see no reason why invisable cloaks shouldn't exist, or at the least, cloaks that use Sheath, Quiver and Backpack graphics.
It comes down to working with what you have. Yea you have what you wear, but if your limited by the engine to what you can wear and how its layered, then you need to improvise.

Yes but there is a limit and I feel this is over it. Would love to see it possible to equip both, but I'm not bothered unlike some people that I don't get 100% out of characters what skills and abilities are concerned. Those that are usually are so from a pvp perspective and I have little to no interest in that anyway with the lack of perma death.

Why not a Scabard? Why not something else.. I mean the cloak slot represents one of your possable slots to equip ~something~ That something could be a magical dog collar, magical chastity belt, magical earings. It does not HAVE to be a cloak. You can say your Rings are Earings, your boots are sandles or some kinda shin guards. Your belt that boasts a respectabel buckle can be RPed as just a sash. There's no IC reason that a magical backpack couldn't be created, and no OOC reason that it can't be represented on screen.
