Word spreads fast that Christina Saunders, a Kohlingen native and up-and-coming Cleric of Tyr, was found murdered in the infamous Kohlingen Manor. Her son, Jayden Saunders, was injured but rescued by a group of upstanding adventurers.

The suspects in Christina's murder are described as being a woman of demonic heritage with bone white skin, hair, and horns, and an elven male with dark hair dressed in robes carrying the staff of an arcanist. He claimed to be of the Mystran faith.

All guards have been ordered to bring any persons matching that description into the immediate custody of the Keep. It is rumored that any information leading to the capture of the two suspects will be met with reward.

Bria sighed with relief as she, her husband Nick and their companion Sand returned with little Jayden to the safety of Kohlingen proper. Sand refuesed further healing instead insisted on getting to the Monolith of Mystra to report the events.

Silently Bria thanked Lathander for the divine power that allowed her to return the little boy to life and health. Later, alone with Nick she would cry tears of sorrow for her abilities would not heal the mental suffering Jayden would have to deal with after his ordeal. But those tears would have to wait. First, she would report to the Kohlingen authorities with information on “Sarah” and her mage cohort. Hopefully with her information and what the crafty Sand had come up with the two who had a hand in these awful events would be brought to justice soon.

“Nick darling,” she whispered as they witnessed the reunion of Jayden to his family, “I can see that we are needed here.” She wrapped her arms around him and leaned on him taking advantage of his strength. “From death, life.”

Katsumi, her eyes narrowing as she sits studying the papers Vera left her, frowns when the news travels through Uhm. She scrawls a hasty note, and hands it to Iaide, asking him to bring it to Yaston; she's still just not comfortable with Kohlingen.

Having heard of this incident through his officer who had been involved, Vaelmith growls but endeavours to keep his cool. He instead focused on his work as best he could for the time being.

A guard on duty by the slope leading to the Kohlingen Manor submits his report, a copy of which is given to Sir Yaston.

"In the evening a woman dressed in white passed us, going up the slope towards the Manor. She wore a white hood over her hair and was very pale. She seemed like typical adventurer fare- unremarkable in her strikingness. We let her pass because, as you know, any help with the undead menace is welcomed.

We did not see the boy nor his mother go up the slope towards the Manor. I suspect it was during the changing of the guard, and admit that we dallied a few moments too long in casual conversation.

I take full responsibility for this mistake and will graciously accept any punishment deemed fit by the Guard Captain or Sir Yaston. I will do what I can do repent, knowing that the blood will never be entirely washed from my hands.

Tyr watch you always,
Guardsman Vernon Leslie"

*Yaston sends quote of the Kohlingen law signs to Guardsman Leslie*

Quote:
You should remove your hood and helmet when you are entering the city and should not wear them while you are within the city limits.

Always keep in mind that these laws apply in the outskirts as well. Kohlingen is the Holy City, we do not accept the so called "aid" of the forces of evil.

Your case will be forwarded to the Lord Justicar.

Lord Yaston Sylgerand
