*Several duplicates of this letter have been posted around the area surrounding Cordor while the original letter has been posted quite brazenly on the exterior of the Cordor front gate. The blood-red lettering is elegant, clearly the product of a master scribe, while the parchment is somewhat rustic and curled at the edges*

The Cordor Ultimatum

I, the great, glorious and immortal Lord Vendramino Kafka, graciously present the Cordor guard with a final peremptory demand, which will hereby be known as the Cordor Ultimatum. The details of the ultimatum are simple; lift your unwarranted exile on all members of the Eternal Order of Chaos from Cordor or the great Lord Vendramino Kafka promises to provide a warranted reason to exile his Order.

The consequences of disobeying the great Lord Vendramino Kafka’s orders will be as follows: the Eternal Order of Chaos members will be given specific detailed instructions to slaughter all civilians, merchants, and visitants caught trying to enter or leave Cordor pax by the dozens, while any powerful individuals of substance, who might attempt to meddle in the affairs of the Order, will be assassinated by the most underhanded methods fathomable – preferably when they are sleeping or in the privy, alone, unwarded and defenceless. The great Lord Vendramino Kafka graciously permits you a week in which to comply with his humble demands.

May you enjoy your short existence in the realm of the living.

With Abysmal Sincerity,
Lord Vendramino Kafka

P.S. If our legion of spies catches any mortal so much as speaking to the Cordor guard known as Neveah, they will face a particularly painful and tragic demise.

Drannok spots the letter on one of his brief trips too Cordor

"Oh, looks like another impending doom wannabe. Regardless, I think I'll be shopping elsewhere again for awhile."

As he walks off he snickers to himself

"Abysmal Sincerity. That's a good one."

Lieutenant Tarvencia takes one of these, and asks the Cordor Regulars to assist her in disposing of the rest before leaving to the Watch House. She also urges them to be extra vigilant for the people who may be putting them up, reminding them of a certain order that went out.

*more of the posters are found in the corder sewers.. After a while people may notice that many of the Cordor wells have been blocked up with said posters... More posters seem to be being posted along the road from Cordor to Bendir*

Some time passes before the Lieutenant hears about this most likely, and she just shakes her head and sighs, "They always prove why they were exiled in the first place. Always."

Seeing the current situation, she passes the information up the chain to government, personally, and spends some of the recent donation money on organizing a clean up. However, those who see her may notice she is baffled on how these hundreds of fliers were made in such a short amount of time, and "distributed."

Having already dealt and firmly so with more legitimate evil threats like the Church of Bane, the Sharrans, and adventurers themselves, the very public "threat" from the Eternal Order of Chaos goes mostly* ignored.

*Mostly, because the latest edition of the Amian Recorder, edited chiefly by Bill Hurst, contains a political cartoon depicting a shadowy Lord Vendramino Kafka, waiting with a blunted, rusted dagger in the bottom of an outhouse pit, and unfortunately, does not seem to be tall and manly enough to reach his intended targets for assassination as they settle in for a morning constitutional. He is, instead, suggestively shat upon.

Drannok is seen with a copy of the latest edition of the Amian Recorder the next morning at the tavern chuckling quietly too himself as he reads.

As the small army that had been assembled to rescue Nevaeh from the clutches of the Eternal Order of Chaos and the Banites began to disperse, Jud stood silently looking over the ashes of the pyre that the fallen had been disposed of within.

With a deep breath and a sigh, he turned to look at those remaining, and spoke:

They said, in their actions, that they wish for war. Well, now they have seen how drow wage war. War to the knife, and the knife to the hilt.

He watched Sundyr cast a Great Thunderclap spell into the pile of smoldering ashes to disperse them across the desert wind, then nodded with finality. Hopefully, there wouldn't be enough left to ressurect, save using the most potent of such spells. That takes time and a lot of power.

After making sure that the heads of the now-deceased Banites and EOoC had been shown to the guards of Djedet, he walked over to the remains of the pyre; the destroyed holy symbols of his foes would make fine trophies.

As Jud'Vardas spoke Erelkachas face cracked with a small subtle smile, one ever bit as dark and cunning as any member of her race. Her mind raced with plots and schemes as wild as her silver mane and as dark as her Obsidian skin. As the wind blew the ashes away she gracefully added to Jud'vardas words whispering in undercommon.

The blade to the hilt, if breath be left twist the blade until all that is your foe be unmade.

Kasbaat is busy hacking away at fresh meat on his slab outside of Cordor. His eye catches the sight of one of these posters, and he is suddenly caught in a state of focus upon it. He drops his cleaver and stares into it. The more he stares unblinking the greater an expression of concern grown on his face. Overcome by panic, he begins trembling when he abruptly breaks wind very loudly. Sighing, his expression melts into that of great relief. Kasbaat picks up his cleaver and resumes working.
