I noticed in-game that the skin colour of kobolds seem to vary, but when I went to edit the model in the toolset, it didn't allow me to set the tint. Does the subrace script simply use varying models?

Cool. Is it random, though, or based on set factors?

I'm not sure, honestly. It's free to ask a DM to swap to any kobold skin though.

Question more refering to Goblins rather then Kobolds.

Should you wish to use the halfling appearance with one of the brilliantly ugly Goblinoid heads, does that cost DCs for the skin change or can you throw in the loop hole of "I'm just changing appearance of goblin?"

I was told the default kobold appearance you load in with is based on your primary class choice.

I think it is chosen from class. At least, the skins corresponding to kobold classes seem to correspond to those that PCs get.

We don't have a set definition of a caster having to pick the shaman model, players are free to pick from the range of kobold/goblin models.

I actually added kobo and gobbo tintable stuff for the halfling model. Heads, body, arms, and legs (for kobo). Not sure what that's gonna cost you because it's quite a bit of work to get it done.

I doubt it, but I guess it could be integrated into the race authoriser. For the time being I'll make some switch in the race changer that allows you to apply these settings to yourself.

From my own experience with goblins - as a fighter I always get the heavily armored skin, with caster, I always get the shaman skin, etc. So it is based on class choice right now.

Yups, I am going to add a skin tone/head randomiser and you can click on it till you get something nice. Finetuning needs to be done by a DM.

No scale textures on the kobold's however. Downside to this.
