Hey gang,

How do I promote a member to a shared leadership role using the new system withing our faction? I can mark the player and I can read the instructions which tell me to promote her, but I do not see a prompt for promotion.

You can't. You can only have one group leader and several moderators. Moderators can only move stuff around, delete stuff, in the forums. Users can only be added to he group and removed by the group leader.

So unless you have a really big forums thats rather messy and gets a lot of posts, your probably not going to need a moderator.

Thank you for you quick reply. Pity that we can't share responsibility for managing the forum membership but so it goes. I do thank you for your help.

You can have several group mods, as well. Only one group mod was with phpBB2, but we're running phpBB3 now. Post in your faction forum who needs to be upgraded and it'll be done.

I'll preposterously harass this thread and request mod changes to Eccleastical Troika forums as well. Mod rights to Arcane_Crusader, at least. I wonder if Phearnun ought to get them as well since he's such a forum lurker there anyhow.

Aye, but having multiple group mods didn't seem to do anything unless it hadn't been set up correctly while Lutra, myself, and VitrossBecket (I believe) were set as group-mod in Northern Alliance. Lutra was still the go-to guy for all forum alterations a moderator could do, although I did show to be in a fancy group of Norther Alliance Mods on my Group List.

That, or I don't know what group mods can actually do if it's made so still only 1 mod can change who's added/removed to a private group. :(
