It seems like this quest is still broken, even after the updates I noticed Disco made. I searched the forums and found that it used to be broken, and was apparently fixed, however, I've gone down there thrice without the miniboss showing up to give me the end quest item
Can someone tell me whats up

I had that problem when a character of mine ran it about a week ago. I decided to say screw-it and camped out there until he showed up. Took about forty-five minutes.. but he did, eventually. Needless to say, I was not impressed.
Bosses always have the biggest most impressive chambers in a dungeon. Least they can do is be prompt.

I've never had a problem with the miniboss. It was always the cult leader that gave me problems with not spawning.

The problem with the quest is that there's only -1- Questdrop. which means that if you're in a party of 6, you need to do the boss 6 times.

Yeah. And the critter that drops the key down deeper into the catacombs seems to be fairly hard to find/get to spawn. I've never actually completed this quest on any of my characters, IIRC.

I've only completed it twice, on high level characters that could solo the place because I was bored.
If someone else is doing it, good luck. The spawn rate on the boss and miniboss is very slow.

Since I returned I've completed the quest 4 times (4 party members... groan). 3 out of 4 times the boss spawn properly. Would be nice is the book allowed all party members to complete the quest.

The mini boss with the key spawns more often than the big raty boss with the book in my run troughs. Call me silly but when they don't spawn, I just go back later. Sometimes 2 to 3 times but I didn't consider it broken -- just like some bosses that seem to only spawn once a reset, I figured it was that. I suppose I'm just not in a rush?
I kinda miss having to go back through the orcs to get the head for everyone in the party... *ducks the thrown rotten fruit*
