I was fooling around in the toolset and noticed that there was a wizard's hat in the cloak models. I think that is absolutely brilliant..
What are the chances that someone could figure out how to put the robe-based feathered hat as a cloak option? (preferably then allowing the hats to be crafted from the change cloak appearance settings)

You mean the Red Mage/Pimp Hat? It is already in.

I think what brooksthegreat is asking is if it would be possible if it can be fiddled with to make the "pimp" hat a cloak replacement like the pointy hat, as opposed to a robe option as it is now.
I'd imagine, though, that it's not likely. A minor change affecting a major hak.

Unless I've simply not noticed a change (Entirely, entirely possible) there is this hat in the cloak options: And this hat in the robes: What I was saying is that it would be dandy if we could somehow cut the model out or the like and make the second hat with the feather a cloak option.. as I would love to have a hat I could take on and off as easily as a cloak without affecting the outfit.. And more than that, it would look nice with any number of the robes. I know we swapped weapon models around some (for instance, one of the short-swords is a butterfly sword model that is generally used as a kama skin for the monks to have an option of something less lame) I just don't know how much work is involved.

Couldn't it go as a helm model?

Apparently helms don't let you have heads at the same time.

Does anyone know someone who's really good at NWN-fangling that could make a new phenotype for helms(like the tabards and are a different pheno of robes) that doesn't replace the head? If so, they could make new helm models that are open-faced, or even actual hats and headbands that people could wear as helms. *daydreams*

I already attempted it while talking with Disco about how to make our own open helms hak. It is not worth the time and the size and lag it will make. As for the pimp hat being a cloak, yes it can be and I have the file somewhere but its not up to me if it gets added.

And while I recognize that it would be silly to update the hak for one item, maybe add it to the nxt update of whatever needs done? *big shiny eyes*

Dealing with the cloaks, does that suggest the diety cloaks will be added for crafting? Squee!

Oooh, while we're on the subject, is there any non-feathered, non-pimpified fedora out there that could be added to the cloak model??? *Drooooools* I'd finally be able to stop just RPing that I have a film noir fedora and actually wear one!

*Grumbles* Fedoras are a few centuries later than the time period we're set in. Which is saying something because we're spread over a lot of time periods.

Trenchcoats came out around the same time period, we've got those. Besides, why should Amia be constrained by the progression of society and technology that Earth just so happened to follow? Not to mention magic.

If your name isn't Indiana Jones, or Spy, you do NOT look good in a fedora.

You're right ... homburg wins: But in all serious, as much as I love these hats I don't think they should be included in the game. We aren't a film-noir setting, we're fantasy RPG. Trenchcoats are bad enough.

Trenchcoats are not trenchcoats, they are just big parka's, which have been around for years. They just LOOK like trenchcoats.
What? You think the world didn't come up with the idea of a really long jacket before the 50's?
