Just wanna say, its a little different and weird, but I'm totally digging it. Thumbs up, and good work. I pretty much blinked and Amia was back up, so a big thanks to getting everything done quickly and efficiently.

Um... bad news: Thegame servers actually haven't moved yet, to my knowledge. Just the forums.

Also the new forums feel weirdly way spaced out....

The forums still need a bit of tweaking here and there.

Yah, the forums are fancy. But sure it takes some time to get used to them.

I love them. Only thing that's bugging me is being unable to tell when new posts start in a thread. >.> I was heavily dependent on those little yellow icons, it seems!

That looks the same to me, you see no little yellow icons?

Edit: It bothers me a bit there's something wrong with new signatures, as you can see. I also feel some aspects of the layout like a cage, but thay'll probably be dealt with at some point.

You have to uncheck "Disable BBCode" in your Profile/Signature settings.

Will there be a cleaning up of the forums? I noticed I only lost 1400 posts ... I think there needs to be a more savage cleaning tbh.

There'll be pruning, yes. Didn't yet get to that part, much of work to do.

I hope the resolution stays the same. I like how it looks. Very classy.

One feature bothers me:
A sumbforum on the index page is marked read only if you have read every single topic in the subforum. This bothers me to no end since I do not intend to read everything, but would like to know from the index page if anything new has been written since the last time I checked the subforum.

Also: Images can be 600 pizels high maximum... Bah. I need to resize everything.

There is a mark topics read button in the forums, not just the front page.

Just pruned about 1500 users who never activated their accounts... or maybe more, I did it in batches of 250 and lost count of how many batches I did.

Now pruning the forums. Off Topic is the first to go.

Major kudos and thanks - - this is super awesome, and I want to thank you guys for the major amounts of hard work.

No pruning done to the IC forums, btw, just to remind that nobody needs to get a heart attack over lost stories! There'll be no lost stories!

Look at the threads count for General Discussion and Off Topic to get an idea how much is being cleaned.

So that's why the forums are so slow from time to time...

This is the ultimate test of the server. Two people doing industrial strength pruning. But the forum will be lean and neat afterwards.

M'kay. Fair enough. Was just wondering whether it was my Internet connection or the worst case scenario, the forums were too "heavy" for some reason.
Though I ought to have known you people know what you're doing.

The member list looked quite amusing afterwards. We sliced some 15k off Disco's numbers and whole lot more from non-DMs. It actually made DMs look like they have posted even more, because the DM forums didn't get a pruning...

Two questions - how do I get it to e-mail me when a topic I'm watching is being responded to, and are we going to remove postcounts?

The latter is still under work, like a lot of things. Email server isn't yet installed, I believe, so the emails don't work either.

Link instead of show. Anybody posting over that size should have thought twice anyway.

But how will I post my wonderful 1600x900 screenshots?!

Well, the proper way is this:

1. Make an additional small version of the image
2. Upload both
3. Put the small one on the page as the image and the big one as a link around the image.
4. Type "click the small image to see the big image" below it for bonus points.

Many hosting pages offer the same service, btw. A clickable picture link.

Photobucket is awesome for this.

The only issue with Photobucket is that they tend to be a bit overzealous about censorship...censoring things that don't need censoring.

Great job on the move and all the effort you have put in.

I find the PM page very cluttered and confusing - looks like a bunch of stuff on the left should be in the profile page, but I expect I'll get used to it. I see new options that appear to indicate we can create new PM folders, though I've not looked at it too closely. Should be a useful function, though.

And is there a way to get the sidebar off the left? Disco had it that you could set your Yahoo IM to 'nopanel', I think it was, but that doesnt seem to have been retained.

I don't fancy the user panel too much myself, but that's simply how phpbb3 does it. We could have stayed at phpbb2, but I decided against it after somebody hacked one I had running at the Uni. Apparently it's rather easy to do so.

I think I'll make a new style for netbooks which you can select later. First I need to iron out some stuff with this one, though. IE doesn't really cooperate with the layout (no surprise there), for instance.

Oh yes please, netbook style to pick.
