Several wooden placards have been placed near roads leading to the Skull Crags, and at various points along the roads within the region. One larger one has been posted in Guldorand itself. All of them read as follows:

The signs are replaced and maintained frequently.

On one of the signs, a comment is simply carved in below as follows.

"Again...?"

*A man clearly indentified as a War Knight can be seen making a copy of the sign, he quickly moves off soon after with his copy in place, however, not before splitting the sign he came to in twine with his bastard sword.*

Any signs not actively guarded are taken down, only to be found lined up, neatly, outside what Katsumi assumes is the Banite stronghold outside of Guldorand. Atop the signs, a laughing noh mask.

Many of the posters are defaced in manners similar to the above. In another instance, the list of offenders is crossed out and replaced with the words "Cupcake-less Heathens." This vandalism seems to go on in spurts, even after the signs are replaced, though it is at its peak early on after the postings are originally made.

Cerestan, passing through the crags on his way to the Crypts for more experimental material gathering spots the notices and smiles whimsicly to himself, however, upon finding the one defaced he wonders why people have to be so petty.

*A note written in fine calligraphy and printed en mass with a press, is found on all sign located upon the skull crags by sun up.*

A claim of ownership before disscussing the matter with the true owner is beyond the pale and emminently premature. The Horsemen attempted to do so in the past, as did the Red Wizards who could not decide upon a name for themselves.

The track record is clear. The Black Hand is in a death spiral of future obscurity. I will be happy to entertain a discount rental agreement as your church is soon to find themselves in hard times. Please send future corespondance to my legal advisor at Speedy's Box 383.

Unfortunatly that area is under consideration as a future site of the Triads Triple geyser Water Park, and as such is unavailable at this time. However the Former Horesman/Crimson Arcanist hidey hole at the monestary at the peak is up for grabs. A real fixer upper, clean it up and an assesment agent will come by and determine the relitive land and space value at that time.

Due to the increased demand for land in the skull crag area, all future rent will henceforth be handled as donations. To be given to any Triadic Knight or guard of Kohlingen for the building of the new water park and recreational hot springs spa.

Coming across one of these signs, Naltyrr could only smile.

"Finally! A place where I can sell some merchendise!"

The orc-twins come upon the defaced signs smiling as they pass each, noting the name of the offending Triad in particular. They are prepared for the onslaught of ignorant adventurers looking for a fight. They trade knowing smiles and banter about the heads, no, the bodies they will put on pikes.

"The heretics will crash upon us like waves upon the rocks." , says Krogan.

"What's an 'Aliant'?" replies Loktar.

"I don't know." says Krogan, "Do you suppose it will scream as it dies?"

The twins share a morbid laugh and move on with thier patrol, senses alert, axes never far from hand. The same thought is in the back of thier minds: Let them come. They will see. This is the land of Bane, where the Darkaxes are. Let them come.

Stop taking this as if it is a joke. This is a serious decree and a potential act of War. Treat it like the threat it is to your families and lives.

The Black Hand is offically an enemy of the Order of the Flaming Blade, as we see such land under the ownership of Bendir Dale, and not the Banites. Nor would I be foolish enough to even consider allowing the Black Hand to take over any land in great quantites as it is. They have been overly aggressive of late, disrupting trade, murdering innocents, acting with dishonour and shall not be allowed to take any land for themselves while I have fight in my body. I'll see their entire religious order brought to it's knees before such is allowed to happen.

My Knights have the Order, any Banites met are to be killed on sight. I suggest everyone else do the same, and stop hiding fear behind jokes. Take up arms and show courage & strength, not hide behind petty comments.

Fredrick, passing through the Crags silently, looks over the the latest postings by the War Knights. A soft chuckle is heard as he tears down each War Knight sign he see's.

"This one obviously doesn't realize just how serious we are."

Upon discovery of one of the notices during one of his frequent forays through the Crags, Crow reads it and shakes his head.

"Yet another public display of the forces of good versus evil." He says to himself aloud.

He holds out before him his left hand and says "Uh, good"
He holds his right hand out before him and says "Um, evil"

He walks forward directly between his hands with a smirk, and draws his battlehammer, having spotted a small group of trolls up yonder a piece. He continues walking casually towards them until they actually consider him a threat, then the fun begins.

*Vaylek doesn't bother replying to Darkness, but notices the post by Calin on one of his regular patrols through the foothills. He stops and mutters to himself after reading it.*

He must be out of his mind... War? With the Tempurans? What have we done to them? Oh well, I suppose they are infidels too, if they're that keen to die in the fire of battle, we can arrange that.

*He then spots a pair of adventurers cautiously treading through the Crags, their eyes peeled for trolls. Vaylek approaches them.*

"Hail, and welcome to the Skull Crags, Bane's righteous kingdom. May I ask where you two hail from?"

Kalithia Lebrune.... Knight of Malice.... makes a point of fixing and replacing any and all damaged, defaced and removed signs on her many route marches she takes the Temples Squires and devouts on. Turning to the column of troops she chuckles.

" See Dread Bothers and Sisters. See how the heretics puff themselves up with childish bravado. They do so because they fear. In a pointless exorcise to hide what we all know they truley feel. Thier hate and aggression reveals it to us. For lawless, chaotic animals, will only fight if frightened and cornered. Yet they live in denial of the inevitable.. I almost pity them but ( chuckles) Not quite"

Turns to two people in the column.

" You two!"

They snap to attention saluting " Yes. Ma'am"

" Fix that sign.... At the double"

They do so and Kalithia Marches the column off to the next sign. Booted feet drumming off into the distance leaving but a cloud of dust to mark their passing.....

A simple notice is appended to but one of the signs in Guldorand, the person responsible for such being openly visible in doing so - the unmistakable image of the elusive Boss Sil'yer having made the notation herself.

As quickly as she appeared, however, she was gone.

To the Church of Bane,

It would seem that for every ounce of chaos you wish to insult; you possess thricefold within your own order, threatening us once again with war directly to our faces and attempting to enforce such upon us within a land where you claim, yourself, that merchants are permitted.

Allow it to be noted to all, that such a threat has been heard.
And allow it to be known, that such a threat will have its reply in kind.

It is suggested that the Church of Bane works fast upon both its social; and financial apology.

And to the people of Guldorand; know that this fight was, with warnings abound and previous experience at heart, brought to your doorstep by the Church of Bane. Any aid provided against such will be highly regarded, and rewarded.

Katsumi reads the notice left by the Caravan, her face hidden by her helm, though the sigh she gives is audible enough.

"Some people never learn..."

*Vaylek quickly discovers the note in Guldorand, and seeing the BC seal he takes it off the sign, hoping not too many of the villagers have seen it. He reads it closely and his face starts to go pale, then bright red. He takes it to the bridge over the howling pass... and begins to howl*

"No! No no no NO! (CENSORED)! What the (censored)! Blackblood and spite!"

*Looking down at the note, he shakes his head slowly, trying to calm himself down. He murmurs a short prayer to Bane before folding the note up, tucking it into his pocket and sprinting away to show his superiors*

Fredrick still visits the town regularly on his own, doing buisness with the traders and speaking with the towns people about the Crags.

"The Church of Bane's only wish is to ensure everlasting peace for the village, and the whole island. Of course, as you have witnessed before, there are those that would disrupt this peace, and even threaten to bring harm to the people of the village." Fred says to the Lumberjack after a few practice sessions with his axe.

"We will keep doing what we can to ensure the safety of this town, and the whole region. The town is far better off accepting this, than giving into the chaotic words of those who would only spread lies, and strife." nodding to the Lumberjack after handing him a large pouch of gold for the training, Fredrick moves to the bridge Northwest.

Any attempt to enter the structure at the peak of skull crag mount by unfriendlies will be eviscerated with extreme predjudice. This Darkness holds no ownership in these snowey lands, and his, or hers word on rental agreements is null. Furthermore, anyone attacked the Black caravan, or it's affiliates in these lands will be destroyed swiftly, and with no remorse.

As yourself and the Horsemen in general are quite poosibly the most inept group ever to hold land in the Skull Crag Mountains, I am mystified as to why any threat you make can be taken seriously. Even the Banites are doing a better job. I have conducted numerous searches of your mountain hidaway and have yet to encounter even token resistance and never even a guard to hinder my surveylance of your... fortress. In the future please refrain from making statements or threats you or your... organization can accomplish.

The area near Guldorand, known for it's mountain giants and spell casting spiders, holds stains of blood and battle. Debries and marks of arcane litter the environment. A battle of some substance has taken form here.

*Beldor slowly shakes his head and crosses his arms when he comes across one of these signs*

"Between the dead-head Banites and the Caravan, I'm not sure who has the most trouble keeping it in their pants. @#$&ing @%@#-measuring contests...*grumbles*"

*Walking away, he speaks a few arcane words under his breath and the sign bursts into flames*

Flies shrouded the heavy burlap sack. Stained brick red with the thick scent of iron. Blood.
A woman in brown armor drags it by horse hair down the path of the Lower Skull Crags,
she stops and kicks the corpse into the cove. "One less Banite."
Turning back for Guldorand, astrally weird, titanically motored, she climbed up the path
to check on the town. Nigh time was always the best time to do that.
Stan's words would not be soon forgotten. It was her town too.

Mynna sees the notice left by the Black Caravan. Boss Sil'yer.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
She escapes into the night, delighted.

Each replenished sign is adorned with another name written onto the banned list. "Followers of the False God, Tempus, and it's War Knights."

Fredrick's shadowy figure in the night moves on to the post another sign, just smirking as goes along, obviously not disturbed by the news of the fight.

Travelers entering the Skull Crags from Bendir Dale recently might have seen a most grisly sight: the piked heads of two hins and a human, all branded with the holy symbol of Bane. Closer examination would reveal the heads as having belonged to Ashal of the War Knights, Jaocim Applegate of the Eternal Order, and Joro Proudfoot.

Ashal's head is also affixed with a note, held in place rather crudely by a ceremonial dagger:

Dearest Captain Swift,

Behold the fate of those who would defy Bane's will by making war upon His protectorate in the Skull Crags.

Such will be the doom of ALL those who inhabit Bendir Dale, if you continue to allow the agents of chaos to use your little hamlet as a base from which to wage war upon Bane's domain.

The lives of those who inhabit the Dale are in your hands. Will you foolishly doom them to a grisly death by dragging them into a war perpetrated by those who live for nothing but war and anarchy? I strongly suggest you rethink your alliances, if you wish to keep your tiny little lives.

This is your final warning.

Just remember what happened the last time someone took a title that wasn't theirs, "Dark" imperceptor.

Unless you wish to be dealt with, I would suggest working upon that apology, and your financial 'aid' with haste. I am not known for patience when dealing with weaklings.

The heads were removed shortly after the mentioned incident, the hin and human raised, and all taken care of. Somehow the note got misplaced, though, and no response seems forthcoming.

Travelers heading between Bendir Dale and Amia Forest may just happen upon the headless corpse of a well-dressed sun elf that has washed up on shore. Or they may just see blood-soaked shoreline. Either is a sign that the Church of Bane has claimed another victim brave or crazy enough to face them in battle.

Yet another War Knight head is found piked up outside Bendir Dale, this one belonging to the dragonkin 'Ary'. The head is similarly branded with the holy symbol of Bane, although no note is left this time.

Passersby might also find a winged, headless corpse floating in the creek nearby.

*Found and raised as before with Ashal. No notice of response is left.*

A letter is attached to one of the signs

Dear Sir or Ma'am Banite:

My name is Nodasha Nik'ta. I am a well traveled and versed in the medical arts. I am writting to get premission to wander your territory looking for injuried to heal. I am a Salandran, and searching for injuried is the fifth Tenate of Salandran, one of the others is "Wander both sides of a war zone, healing all you find." As I previous mentioned I am just a medic, I am not a cleric.

The head of Ary is once again piked up near Bendir Dale. This time her winged and armored body is left lying nearby.

Folks passing through Guldorand may hear tale of a battle between all small group of Banites and War Knights, with the latter getting the worst of it.

*Again, a simple raise and not much else. By now people may note that the War Knights don't seem to be biting at the intmediation technique.*

Vaelys, having encountered a knightly encampment on her way out of Guldorand, takes one of the original notices and stashes it away about her person. Their presence had been unfortunate; they made it a little too dangerous to start enquiring about the banites in the area. Instead she bided her time and purchased a small room at the local inn.

*Guldorand and the surrounding areas may have the marks of battle nowadays. There maybe a rumor that a group of knight and their allies were able to defeat some of the banites. However the presence of the knights are not permanent.*

Two agents of Bane have defeated an elf of Winya and a cleric of Torm. However, no witnesses were around, and the heads weren't found piked anywhere. For now.
