I changed the names of the update files to make sure people can see they got the right one.

Is there any ETA on when the hak will be put in full effect?

I suppose its too late then to suggest a fixed critical immunity feat that will allow sneak attacks?

Critical immunity directly implies sneak attack immunity as part of its definition. It is the correct setting.

Yeap I know it is, but I figured it would be handy to have some bosses that are immune to Dev and your hated long crit weapons without being immune to sneaks.
Its a PW after all and you can make that type of change if its for the benefit of the server (which i think it would be)

I'm fairly sure being immune to sneaks is coded into the property of being critical immune, meaning it can't be changed. I get your logic, though.

You can get sneak immunity as a separate option, right?

Yups. Sneak immunity is sneak immunity but crit immunity is both sneak and crit immunity. If you change crit immunity you'll probably have to go look at a lot of monster and make sure they have both where they only had one before. I still can't think of any monster that could be sneaked but not critted though, the entire point is that if you have no vitals to Crit, there's none to Sneak either. There are some monsters which can be critted but not sneaked due to flanking or awareness feats which is why sneak is separate but crit is lumped.

Yes.
I also looked it up and you can apparently get an Engine HAK that will seperate Sneak Immunity out of Critical Immunity. Check the NwNx boards was what someone suggested to me.

From my PoV it would be nice. Not because it makes particularly high degrees of sense (short of thick metal plates and you angling your weapon up), but because it provides a way to make Epic Bosses immune to Devastating Criticals without removing much of the rogue's usefulness.

Well, we're really looking into disabling the instant death bit in Dev Crit... so, if that's gone I doubt we'll need a change in the immunity.

For physical undead or constructs you might be able to hack off a leg or something unexpectedly by jumping them from behind, doing a great deal of inconvenience but without necessarily killing them right away. Though it's probably not worth the hassle of rejigging all the monsters.

That's not a sneak or a crit though. Undead don't suffer "Massive Damage" like that.

Any particular reason why there is not a "Amia HAK Update" link on the sidebar, only in this thread?
Would it not be easier to just add the update link there?

Because when it's updated it replaces the one on the Amia Hak, and when there's an update it tells you the URL IG.
