I seem to be having a small problem.

Multiple maps that attempt to load on my computer lock up my game.

Help?

Talk to the HAK chicken and see if you have the right version of Amia_HAK_A.

The current file in http://www.amiaworld.net/update is the one you need.

What does "multiple maps" mean, CratzBlade113?

Basically, several maps (i.e. The She-Kat Caves, Khem:Alambar sea coast caverns) will not load completely, and will make NWN not respond.

Ahh, the cavern issue. I am trying to figure out what's going on with my -somewhat uncooperative- guinea pig Tyson.

Anyone else got this issue?

Also, my amia-a hak is up to date.

I know about the bug, I just need people who reliably crash there and can test the changes I make to the hak. I am not gonna make a stab in the dark and force the whole server to download a new version that may or may not work just because two people have an issue which apparently doesn't effect anybody else.

In other words: send me your MSN so we can set up a test server and get down to this.

I have the feeling I know where the problem is, and unfortunately it's in the biggest hak of the pack. So, before updating that I want to be 100% sure it actually fixes the issue.

Step 1: Make sure you have this issue before testing! Go into the Hollow Cavern from Sandy Beach. If you crash you are affected.

Step 2: Download http://staff.science.uva.nl/~dcslob/hak ... _amia_c.7z

Step 3: Go to yoru hak folder and rename your current amia_c.hak file to backup_amia_c.hak.

Step 4: Extract the test_amia_c.hak file from the downloaded archive to the hak folder and rename it to amia_c.hak.

Step 5: Go in game again and check if you can enter the Hollow Caverns now. If you can enter go to the Beastman caves (enter from Kohlingen Southwest) and see if that works as well.

Step 6: Report your findings, even if you keep crashing.

Anybody found anything else that's probably wrong with the HAK files?

No bugs here, except I believe the Dev Crit feat still exists twofold on the feats list.

If it makes you feel better, I didn't have any problems with the Hollow Cavern before or after your test update. Beastman Caves neither.

I heard of just two people having that issue and one had a really old ATI card. Can you check on the Dev Crit to see if it's really still buggered? The last hak update should have fixed that.

Oh, uh, I just remembered fixing it like a weekish ago, I did aq rebuild and a player noted they still had 2 Dev Crits to choose from. The first one they selected worked, though.

Should I go test level a character?

Sadly, the Beastman Cave does not load.

Edit: The Blood moon orc cavern doesn't load either.

2nd Edit: The lower parts of the Trog caves do not load. (Yes, I am reporting them as I find them.)

3rd edit: The orc caves no longer loads.

I checked out the She-kat, ogre caves and beast men caves. No problem at all. I have the original HAK pack, updated the "a" file once, and an ancient ATI card. (ATI Radeon X600 mobility on a HP laptop from 2005).

I assume you keep using the new hak?

Just to be sure: you did rename the hak you downloaded so it's now called "amia_c.hak"?

Folks, can you take a look at your amia_d.hak file and tell me if it isn't (about) 138.377 Kb?

If it is a general question, not only to those who posted, mine is 135 mb.

General. I guess 135 is also fine. Shouldn't be 70ish MB.

Yups, that's all fine. I want to know the deviations from the pattern, though.
