Clan Name: Wolfhammer
Race: Shield Dwarves

History and Outlook:
Clan Wolfhammer has been a part in Barak Runedar for since the halls were created. Like the majority of their kin, they are slow to trust and slow to forget. They are incredibly proud of their bloodline and known for their ale, having been responsible for many royal hangovers. Ever their brewery on the main land was destroyed by a horde of the living dead, they share an unspeakable hatred towards the undead.
Adult Wolfhammers are expected to support themselves and their family as well as bring honor and riches to the clan. They are are slow to laugh, insult or jest and are suspicious of strangers, but they are generous to those few who earn their trust. They are also known to be slow to act, prefering to weigh all options, to ensure their clan's honor, unless given orders to them by their lord, in which case they persue their duty with unwavering loyalty.
Which also leads to them seldomly offering their opinion in an important matter, and if they do get involved in such a discussion, which is not often the case, they utter it shortly and to the point. Real advice should only be offered when one has it and it also leaves more time for eating and drinking.
Education and Traning:
All members of the Wolfhammer Clan are either market gardeners to farm barley, orchaders to gather hops, or brewers for the ale. Additionally, professions such as smiths, inventors and engineers have been persued, but those Wolfhammers non the less help out to create their clan's famous ale.
Education is highly valued, and each child of the clan is taught to read and write, and educated about dwarven history and faith. Once a Wolfhammer reaches adulthood, he is given a cloak made out of brogendenstein wolf and a warhammer, both made by the clan. These are only awarded ever to those holding the clan name, either through marriage or bloodline.
Appearance:
Wolfhammers are fair skinned dwarves with long black beards and light blue eyes. They often refer to eachother by the term wolfbrother or wolfsister. Where this tradition stems from it uncertain, perhaps it was nothing more than a jest made at a test of their fine ale.
Relations with other races:
Humans, half-elves and half-lings are accepted well enough. Elves have earned great respect from the Wolfhammer Clan in the past, however they do not appreciate their art nor fickle and flighty ways. None the less they are stand highest in their eyes, even above the gnomish race.
Goblins, kobolds, gnolls, orcs, undead and the simmilar are greatly hated by the members of the clan. And while they would not mindlessly slay a goblin if they met them in a city which would tolerate them, they would non the less show their disgust with a glare and an angry grunt.
Armor and Weaponry:
The Wolfhammer Clan uses almost only lighthammers, warhammers and mauls (dire flails when haks become usable) for combat. This is a reflection of the training they pass on their clansmen from childhood. Their clan colors are a dark blue, white and silver.

Alright, this is not as much as new 'faction' but a group I wish to create to help make Barak Runedar more active and gain more role play again. Currently we are a few people who decided to make characters. We havent yet started though and anyone who likes the idea could either talk to me here, over msn or a pm to see if they could join up.
Suggestions, praise and critisizm for anything currently written above is also more than welcome!

I seriously suggest more folks hop along this train; i'm havin' a blast playing Valbela Wolfhammer; As are we all.
We're currently holding off our leveling at 9 so let other clanmembers catch up; So we can go and teamhunt giants like a real clan!

I have a dwarf already, though she doesn't really fit the bill for this clan. I've been wanting some Dwarfy RP. She's a cleric of Clangeddin (level 7) and if possible, I'd like her to join in with the aforementioned hunting.

I would hope that a driving force behind this clan is to stimulate Dwarven RP. So, have at it! A non-clan member can still be a friend!

I do believe the whole concept of this clan is to stimulate dwarven RP; and be overall fancy and go on Clan hunts and do the fun events and ...
It's really up to our own imagination. We just have the basic story that Gabe posted, and then we just fire away in all directions!
