+1 enhancement gives +1 AB and +1 damage.
You also need x enhancement to break through 10/x damage reduction.
And so on.

Actually, +AB does the same, as far as breaking through damage reduction. A stoneskin spell gives 10/+5 damage resistance, for example. Neither a +4 enhancement or a +4 AB weapon will break through it, so you lose 10 points of physical damage. But, a +5 Enhancement or +5 AB weapon will break through it just fine. It's why you see so many weapons that have been mythalled to +5 AB, +4 enhancement, keen, and 1d6 elemental damage.

I gotta slip the question in because that seems odd to me...
A +5 AB and a +4 Enchantment? Wouldn't it be better to +5Enchantment?
As the +5 AB +4 Enchant sees +5 AB; +4damage;+4AB (null to higher value) Where a +5enchantment would give +5AB; +5damage ?
Or am I totally off on this theory and +5 ench isn't doable?

I think its because +5 enhancement is 4 mythal powers wheras +4 enhancement and +5ab are both only one, leaving room for the keen and the damage.

So just to clarify...
a +3 enhancement weapon gains nothing by adding a +1 to +3 AB on top of it because the attack bonus doesn't stack.
Correct?
