I'm looking into webapps for the ipod touch and/or iphone.
Is there interest in developing the forum into one?
I don't want to invest time into something no one will use.

Buy me an iphone and pay the first 6 months fee and we can talk about it. Seriously though fine idea I suppose for those who might have a need for it.

I'm with you Maias, iphone is way to expensive.
I picked up my ipod touch off craigslist for one hundred bucks. $5 firmware update, but it's nice to have.

Basically, it's a shrunken down website for easier use on demon apple products.

I wouldn't use it. No. 1 - I don't have an iPhone. No.2 - I wouldn't be caught dead using one.

Even if I did have an iPhone, or any similar-type product, I never find myself in such desperate need to check websites that I can't wait until I get home.

Me neither, but an iPod Touch is myDistractionInClass, so I thought it would be cool to have the option to make the forum readable on those small devices.

I've no clue on that end, I'm afraid. I wouldn't use it, but you're doing the work and if it's not hard to integrate I could see some other savvy person doing it.

Unsure how a webapp is developed. If it involves needing to access the websites coding & database however then there is only about 2 people who could do it.

I have no time for that, I am afraid, and I do not think this old piece of forum software junk will be a happy victim anyway.

I chose "Boobies" because my phone will already pull up the forums without them having to be turned into an app. :twisted:

Yes, the forum works alright on an iPhone. Hell, 9/10 times I'm on this site or even NwN I'm on my phone. But web sites like yahoo have done this already and it makes it a breeze to navigate. No zooming in to get your links. Everything is sized just right and some of the useless border stuff is dropped so things load quicker. It's nice.

People voting "No" because they don't have a mobile device is kinda lame seeing as how no one is forcing them to use it. It only comes up when it realizes you're on a phone. Voting No because you don't have one is basically. "I don't have one, so you can suck it, people who do."
