Think I fixed the reset issue. Please test the stuff. There's areas, plcs, creatures, and tilesetts to look through. Tell me what vid card you have if you spot any glitches. Screenies including minimap would also be helpful.

Just finished going through the whole thing and I gotta say...12 outta 10! No problems with my laptop and it wasn't built for gaming (Not sure about vid card) Can't wait to see how these goodies are implemented!

I've been poking around for ages, on your test server, and in the toolset. Seen all the stuff, I think. I've not had any graphical problems at all and my computer is pretty crap. Knocking on 7yrs old. Video Card was a budget model then, nowadays its scrap iron. Not even got pixel shading.
Ive only seen one issue, and that is very minor. One of the 1.69 Large Shield models seems to have been overwritten from a funky black and gold one to some sorta Goblin smiley one. #75.

I am quite sure we can find enough free file hosters too to alternate with if the need should arise.

Ran through the test module. Everything worked just fine. No errors I saw. This was on Vista 64-bit.

Only thing I can think of that may have been video glitches were that the lava & water (or was it ice?) in the mines/caverns set didnt move - all of the other lava/water did. Also, the black spaces between the tiles in the UD3 set displayed a green grid but I didnt see it anywhere else. I'm running WinXP with SP3 (or part of it, anyway) and an ATI Sapphire X1550 video card (256 MB).
Creatures: love the treant, the mounted goblins and those lumpy pale humanoid things in the first creature room (on the left when you come in). There are some nice extra-planar thingies too. And there are a few that look stupid and a few that are just not well rendered (the camels & sheep).
Placeables: Nice. Some good stuff in there.
Items: Sure, why not.
Tilesets: Love the city and city/rural! OMG! Cramped & twisty alleys with arches and stuff (like Ravenloft)! Ooooh! And slopes in the desert and winter and rural! I'd say how much I love slopes but this is a family forum. The versatile dungeon is nice - would make a good Mines of Moria type setting, and it looks much better than that ugly brick in the Wiltun keep interiors which I absolutely detest. The windows with views are nice (like the desert one!) though of limited application. The UD caverns are nice too but those roofed tunnels are a b**** to get around in. If someone makes a whole area using those I'll never go in it. Dont really see that we need more rooms full of lava, but, hey, what the heck.
All in all, worthwhile. I would stay in Amia without them, but I think they'll spice things up a bit.

The WinRar archives extracted the folders into the hak/tlk folders as well. Had to manually cut and paste the files from those folders into the hak/talk ones.

Just went through the test server...
Absolutely awesome. In all regards. All content is high quality and useable. The only thing that crossed my mind was: "Now we have to re-do Amia entirely."
Two things though... which might be very minor, but still worth pointing out.
Underdark 3:
And is this weapon suppose to have that texture:

Can we get the item NPC's plotted please?
Also: Can we get a testing dummy to see how the weapons swing?
The UD3's ceiling tiles all over definitely seems to have a missing texture where it fades out black...instead of that you get the monochrome green Tron stripes. It's really all over there. Pretty sure these texture errors are causing some of the crashing issues. Probably is a missing texture..
I also noticed this in one place in UD2. Have my PC's arrow pointing towards where it is on the minimap.
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o118 ... st/UD2.jpg
There's an issue with one of the scimitar blades: It's translucent. And the wizard hat is a cloak.
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o118 ... lear-1.jpg
These 3 Shields have some sort of display issue with them, maybe the alpha tag on their icon needs to be set properly in photoshop or somethin? EDIT: they look fine equipped, its just their appearance on the paper doll

[edit by Disco: pictures were stretching up entire thread]

Either there's an issue with the texture, or it needs reskinned badly. I like the models but the texture kinda weirds me out.

That hat must be a cloak to work BTW. A helmet wont work. The transparent Scimitar was one Disco mentioned in earlier posts. They were left in for "Ghost weapons" IIRC.
The Green Grid deal I have no clue about. But it give me no issues. I play zoomed in pretty close though.
Those are the best camels available, not that it says much.

I absolutely -love- the rest of the additions that are displayed so far. I've got to get ready for my anniversary dinner tonight.. but could someone explain how to load HAK's into a module for the toolset so I can see if I can help test some more?

Mahtan Tasadur wrote: Okay step by step.
Launch Toolset from the NNW Menu.
Click the bubble for Create a new module.
Click next.
Enter a name. "Amia Clothes Test"
Click Next.
Click the Area Wizard.
Name the area. "Amia Clothes Store"
Pick a Tileset. City Interior
Click Next.
Pick area Size. Can leave at 8x8
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Now you have your module.
Click the Edit tab at the top of the screen.
Go to "Module Properties"
Click the "Custom Content" tab at the top of the new window.
There is a drop menu right above the Check for Conflicts button. Click that and then select the "Amia Clothes".
Click Add.
Click OK.
Say Yes to the Warning that will pop up.
It will now add the hak, click Done when it is finsihed.
Press the button at the top of the screen that looks like a blue circle with a red arrow in the middle.
This will take you back to your area.
In the top right you will see other buttons, a hat, a monster a sword, gold etc. Press the one that is a single sword pointing left, it should be called "Paint Items" if you let the mouse rest over it.
Now Click Armor -> Clothing -> Adepts Tunic
Then click any colored area on the display to the left.
This will add that item to the module.
Now right click that item and select properties.
Then select the appearance Tab.
From here you can edit every detail of the clothes. You can make it plate, a robe, anything you want.
Hope this helps anyone that doesn't know how to start toolset up.
Bumped this up so people that don't know how to use toolset at all can see the clothing appearances. For different Tilesets you just pick from the tileset list you are given when creating the module.

Just had a look around the hak server.
Any chance if you have a gobbo you could possibly some way ride the worg (or spider)? Would you be stuck using a shapechange widget, and is there only a green worg rider and red spider rider?
Sad the dwarven halls and rocky stronghold didn't make it in, but the underdark looked amazing. Only problem was the camera was kind of funky in the parts with a low ceiling but I'd say it's worth it for the look and feel.
The item room was also empty when I went in. Did they get cut?

Only Green worg and red spider rider. You can probably request the polymorph for 25 DCs. Not sure. Too early to say.

You've managed to screw over the visual VFX's btw, Disco. Like... All of those at 525-ish and beyond are gone.
And the new placeables don't show up in the toolset item list.
Which means I have to manually alter appearances in the item properties atm >.< Grumble.

Download WinRar or 7zip program, which are standard zip programs. Make sure all the archieves are in the same directory. Open, extract to desired location, and extract it. Should automatically pick up the other 7zip files.
Suggest you use WinRAR, great program.

I already have Winrar, but when I try to open it I just get:
"C:\[...]\ama_hak_bits_7z.001
The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"
Edit: And when I try to use the 'Extract To' from running WinRAR first, it just says "No archives found in selected files and folders".

All eight are in the same folder, all in the same order, and all with their numbers unchanged (7z.001 - 7z.008), but I can't get them to do anything. If I try double clicking, I get the first error message, and if I try opening from within WinRAR I get the error message I edited in.

Edit: Just tested what Yurell said and he's right. It's not opening in Rar for some reason. Unsure why.
Update: Further testing shows it does open fine however with 7zip. 7Zip is a program smaller then even one of those Haks, barely 1mb, so it's not an issue to download. I can only assume it fuddles up due to it being a 7zip split file, and not a rar split file.

Several of the tilesets while pretty are very difficult to navigate by mouse while zoomed out, due to them not going transparent. Underdark 2 has this problem really bad because the narrow corridors force you to be zoomed up close

Test Server no longer has it's name either, just says "Unnamed Server" with the module running.

Hrm. I can't help but notice that after adding the hak file to my offline messing about mod, every single feat is now selectable under the bonus feat property. I didnt realise that was going to be included. Opens up some interesting possibilities for DC requests maybe? Although I do feel the chances of getting an item with Devastating Critical:Dagger are somewhat low.

That's why I put it up for testing. If it's really a bitch I will throw out the UD 2 set and just use the UD 3 tiles which are basically standard caverns with the funky mushrooms. Looks good, less issues. Gives me a bit of room to add some other stuff.

I have enough general issues with lag and system performance that if I get into a firefight, or even moving around in some areas (eg. coming out of Waukeen's Temple, moving through Cordor outskirts) that my screen freezes for seconds at a time and ends up pointing some way I dont want, which then takes a few seconds to reorient. Perhaps it's just me, but things like that would cause me to avoid those low-roofed tunnels like the plague. I'd end up blocking the way for half a minute while trying to figure out where I was. It's a great concept, but only if you want to force people to a crawl for a short time, perhaps for reasons of atmosphere. Otherwise I think it would be terribly frustrating even without the sorts of problems I experience.
I see that others noticed the green bars in the UD3 set and the ugly camels. Glad it wasnt just me.

Okay well, I just had a drive through and I have bad news.
My eyes are all wonky from all the eye candy.
The tilesets are lovely. Okay granted, it is necessary to zoom right in to character's shoulder at some points, but it does lend the sort of atmosphere that hasn't been present in the stock tilesets. Some of the walk-outs in the Underdark tilesets were fantastic. And also, how can you not love that city-and-rural tileset? Bonus points for the dungeon tilesets, I would love to see that multi-level one in use.
The items are good to excellent. Obviously I didn't try everything there, but what I did look at (swords, rapiers, hammers and shields) I liked.
The placeables, there are so many of them. Probably the one which gets my applause most is the long table. Previously the only thing like that has been bolted into a particular tile of the City Interior tileset.
There was a good selection of creatures too. I'm not going to say I was bowled over by them, because visually they seem to be the weakest out of the four categories. But they are a sight more monstrous-looking (in a good way) than some of the stock NWN creatures.

From my point of view two thumbs up for everything! Honestly the tile sets are great and although alittle frustrating at times the forced over the shoulder view is great for intense emersion. The weapons and armours? all I can say is *drool*.
As for the camels although not the best models they are a damn sight of a better fit for the desert areas than those reskinned bullettes. Really can we not just keep the bullette as a monster as it should be instead of diluting its awesome by being a desert rider mount.
PS if you want to see bad stock nwn models I will direct you to the standard trolls, orcs and the *abysmal* wererat... really all of these new creatures are a huge improvement. As for the new placeables...Thank you disco.

I think the bullettes are awesome as desert rider mounts.

*sigh* You just follow me about...
My point such that it was is that while they do look awesome its not really lore appropriate to be riding bullettes as they eat, well, anything. It's a cool monster that would be nice to fight on the server more than once... But anyway this is derailing. It was only a suggestion.

Would it be asking too much to break this thread into another one from the moment you put up the download links, Disco?
I am just being nitpicky, so, if this is too much hassle, it's fine to keep it as is. ^^;
Downloaded all the stuff. Now, I am going to test.
*Crosses fingers*

Right. Tested and worked.
Items: Awesome. Too bad you cannot, for instance, equip all weapons. Unless if you make a character with proficiency with all weapons, you can only equip and see a limited number of weapons. Not an issue, though. You either make a new character, or select some weapon proficiencies feat at the character creation, or be happy with testing what you can equip. :P
Placeables: I got some lag when entering that area. Also, when I stepped in on the water, there was not that effect that usually happens (forgot the name in english). I do not know if the lag has to do with the fact that all of the placeables are in a single area, or my configuration settings, or my graphic card.
Creatures: Got some lag when entering the rooms, too. I believe it could be because there are a lot of creatures in each room? Not sure. >.< Also, the creature beside the Aboleth, is it a giant co!ckroach? It reminded me of the alien co!ckroach from Men In Black. >_>;;
Tilesets: Guess what? If you said "laggy", you are correct. In every tileset but City Interior, Crypt, Rural/City Exterior (the city one was laggy), Desert, Dungeon.
Underdark 2: the part of the tunnels, my camera was forced into the "over shoulder" mode (forgot the name of this camera mode). Out of the tunnels it was fine.
Underdark 3: Same problem as the other players had, with the green grids when you are zooming out. Other than that, it is fine. Tunnels there were fine.
Various interiors: no lag, but the minimap was not showing the areas. Unless if it was intentional, I believe I got a bug there.
Everything else seems fine.
If necessary to determine/study the reason for the lag, below is my system configuration:
Quote: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002). Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.090803-2339) System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA System Model: Satellite A200 BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL0 Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2130 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz Memory: 1014MB RAM Page File: 1375MB used, 909MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Poo.. I loved those UD ones. The Green grids are just how they are. I believe its because of how the pieces go on with the high ceilings and such.
Maybe an Unlocked camera override will help you guys with the issues? Lets you move the camera -any- way you want it.
