(These are posted in all surface cities, and on rural routes, and handed out, but not posted, in Amia Forest, in an effort not to further harm the wildlife.)
FUNDRAISING!
In light of the Banites' insistence on harming those who would aid me, even innocents, (and Lila's insistance that I do so) I have consented to raise the ten million gold piece bounty on my head. To this end, I ask any who would stop their evil acts assist me in this.
I currently have nearly two million from the sale of my goods.
That leaves eight million left to be gathered.
If you're willing to help in any way, please contact myself or Lila Is'Def, or Iaide Shadowflame. Anyone willing to take up donations who is more publically trustworthy than myself, would have my immense thanks.
If you have any questions, as always, I am willing to answer them. You can find me in the Crouching Lemur monastery, most of the time.
Please, don't let Darthion kill people who have done no wrong.
Sincerely
Katsumi Aers

Along one of the rural routes, a small note is scribbled onto the parchement already there, crunched inbetween sentences of the poster.
"How does paying Banes Church 10million stop them from killing anyone they please and just demanding more ransoms they know cannot be paid?
What happened to not giving in?
If gold stopped them, they wouldn't persist."
There is no signature or mark of who made the reply on the rural posting.

She simply rips Torin's off, leaving no public reply.

"Let me put this frankely. Your a former banite, you'd have been better off getting your sponsors to have written up the message themselves. If you really wished to gather the money for charity you would have done this, instead of hindering such a process by attaching your own well known and associated name on the message. As it stands, it just looks more suspicious.
Just a little friendly advise. If you want to redeem yourself, do something without expecting to be thanked.

Arturus reads the notes posted, with the exception of Torin's as it's been torn down by now, and chuckles to himself.
Walking off he is heard mumbling something to himself, but it's not quite heard exactly what that is.

In the Cordorian Commonwealth, each household has a small letter delivered, written in charcoal and on quartered paper obviously for the purposes of saving money on whole parchment and ink. Regardless, the message is clear.
Beloved Citizen,
No doubt by now you have seen posted advertisements for generous charities such as the one posted by Katsumi Aers, the former Imperator of Amia's Church of Bane. Although the Commonwealth encourages a generous spirit of giving as a virtue to be commended, the Ministry of Finance feels it a particular duty to inform all citizens of the Commonwealth of a common and despicable scam. Criminals and other enemies of the Commonwealth such as the Banites hold to the notion that the most celebrated are the rehabilitated as much as we do. In our estimation, it is entirely feasible that Katsumi Aers, in fact, never left the Church of Bane, but has merely pretended to do so with the intent of asking for ten million in gold in blood money to pay off her former allies and current assassins. Once that amount of money and considerably more has been reached, she will return to the Church or continue in a series of scams meant to deplete your hard-earned wages, bolstering the vaults of the Commonwealth's enemy all the while. The Ministry of Finance discourages any citizen from giving to this so-called charity.
In our common interests,
The Ministry of Finance
Penn E. Pincer Clerk 1st Class Ministry of Finance Commonwealth of Cordor

She can be seen on the Outskirts reading the notice.
The minister of Finance speaks truth, in that I am not trustworthy. This is the reason I encourage any who have doubts to speak to me, or to those that I am working with, such as Lila, or Iaide, or Sir Jelance Steelrose, the Dawnlord of Lathander from Kohlingen. I am more than ready to, again, submit to any test necessary to prove that I have left the church. I am not proud of my choice, for I feel desertion is the height of dishonour, but I made it for the right reasons, and I will not change now. Any who feel that this may be a scam, I encourage /NOT/ to donate. Simply watch, and judge for yourselves.
My role as Imperceptor is well-known. I don't hide that fact. This money is going to the Church of Bane. I don't hide /that/ fact. Rather than warning people, however, of what the Minister feels I will do, after never having met with or spoken to me, I would appreciate a less-personalized attack, or, if that isn't feasible, at least one backed by fact.
Again, if there are questions, PLEASE contact me. Don't just assume.
Sincerely Katsumi Aers

*For once a dark-clad monk is seen putting up a reply to a list of notes in the island.*
Redemption in a a goal difficult to achieve, but rewarding to seek. There is no man, nor woman, who holds no right to a second chance, for each who says they can deny this right, is one who has never made a slightest mistake. There is no such man or woman alive. Katsumi Aers has proven herself to me to be one seeking a way to find peace, with herself and with her past. It is unfortunate but logical that people feel a need to judge her still, but as it has been written; "Thou shall not judge, for then you yourself are judged".
I take responsibility for my words and doings, assuring on my own behalf the change of Katsumi Aers.
Sincerely,
Iaide Shadowflame
PS. Clerk Pincer, we all respect your efforts and work in the Ministry of Commonwealth, but it would be best to find the difference between the Imperceptor of Bane and Imperator of Kohlingen.

A 1st class clerk in the Ministry of Finance blusters over a 1st class error. But there is no public correction.
The only response come from the mouths of the citizens themselves, who sometimes wander by the growing notice, voicing their opinions and observations.
"What's all this name-dropping? Who is Lila?"
"Or this Eeyeday character?"
"You mean Eyeaday."
"I think it is just two syllables, Yaday."
"Could be just Yod."
"And Sir Jelance Steelrose? What is a Lathandran doing supporting this scam?"
"Naivete. And the other two are probably adventurer scum, whoever they are. But no matter how you slice it, that money she's putting into the hands of the Banites is money she's giving them to fight against us."
"According to the government, that's the whole point of the scam!"
"Even if it isn't a scam," one of the citizens observes, "it is still a strange thing to do. I don't like her supporting our enemy with ten million gold."

Xaviera, receiving one of the notices from the Ministry and having seen the posters around town, gives a rather unladylike snort and tosses her head. "You made your own bed, honey. Now lie in it."

For further questions regarding my redemption, I ask that people also speak to Sir Yaston of Kohlingen, who will attest to my attempts as well.
Despite the slurring of my intentions, I and my friends will continue to gather the money. I beg you all to remember *I* am not the one at risk here. it is not for myself I work. Please, help. Katsumi.

A copy from the Sale notices is also added here.
You carry out a reign of terror, you feel your church above Cordor's laws enough to end up with it cast from a surprisingly Tolerant city, you serve a god of Tyranny, and when you decide you can no longer handle it, you come crying to the peoples of this land who you and your church once TERRORIZED for help?
The human saying 'You Reap what you Sow' applies here, Katsumi. If you really want forgiveness, if you really want help to avoid what your church would offer the fate of traitors , then you do NOT carry yourself with any arrogance. You become humble and beg, and plead for mercy. You confess your sins truly and without edit, and then you may find some willing to forgive.
Vaelmith Starshower
PS: I personally applaud Cordor's choice to banish the Church of Bane and all whom serve it from her walls.

She simply shakes her head, eyes dark with exhaustion from hunting, though Lila would kill her if she found out.
Trust me when I say, I did not leave because I couldn't "handle" it, whatever that means.
I left because I wish a better home for my children. It would, in all actuality, be /far/ easier to just go back, and screw you, and screw the rest of you bastards that naysay me.
However. That would prove nothing, and would make me as bad as everyone speaking against me.
You, Vaelmith, have also not bothered actually speaking to me. I'm impressed by how "well" you know me from posters and others' opinions.
Most of which, as we've seen, are based on the past, or are flat-out wrong.
Way to seek out the facts, Weave Knight. It speaks highly of you as an officer of a knowledge-based enterprise.
If you cannot improve the silence with your words, I respectfully ask you refrain from speaking.
I am willing to pay my debt. I am also seeking to pay the debts of others, so /please/ do not speak to me of "reaping what I sow". I'm reaping for several right now. Again, you have no idea what is /actually/ happening. Until you do, you show your own arrogance and ignorance by commenting.
Katsumi.

There remains just a corner of burnt paper pinned to the notice board where Weston's notice had been before somebody burned it.

She can be seen staring at Weston's notice.
Of any, this one seems to cause her the most pain. She simply presses her flaming kama to it, rendering it to ashes, and walks away, spine stiff.

Pylithien walks by, and reads the notices. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head as she walks away saying "Why would I want to fund the church of Bane?"

Word reaches the ear of one Vivian Pierce, whom chats with the commoner she heard it from;
"Hm, sounds like it's pretty common for these Banefolk to be scrounging for money. Just the other tenday, a huge one tried to swindle me out of a hundred thousand gold! They must be hurting for cash.."

A halfling places a reply to one of the notices:
The Church of Bane, for whores, beggars and thieves. Worse than Mask, worse than Shar, worse than Cyric. These people are filth. Whether you currently worship, or have done so in the past, you are accountable for your actions.
Find yourself a new shepard, sheep.

Arturus happens across these notes and smiles, scrawling a quick note on a spare pice of paper he wonders off to find a good pub to drink in. "You lied to us and me, you betrayed me and my brother, now you're suffering. Hard life isn't it?"
Oskar finds one blowing in the wind while out walking one day, he snickers and moves on without comment or care.
Metalien stays well and truly out of it, keeping as distant as possible from it.
Cerestan likewise remains out of it, not having any input or emotion either way in the matter.

No response is forthcoming, save the sight now and then of an exhausted half-elf curled in a tree's embrace for a moment's Reverie.
