How does one cleric of Urdlen becomes Lathanderite?
What is needed for converting?

I was kinda expecting this answer. Can you sometimes be more specific? I asked for guidence. There was at least one DM involved in converting Vaylek from Cyric to Bane. Why would this case be any different?

I don't recall any DM being involved in that, beyond needing to be omnipotently present to allow the mechancial change and nudge his alignment. "Roleplay" is the answer. There are no set guidelines: Your character knows what it would take to convert him if possible and te convert-ers have the methods they use. I'm not going to tell you how to RP to achieve an effect on an OOC level.

Than Vaylek lied to me for I was told by him that DM was involved in his convertion to Bane.

I didn't expect you to tell me how to RP it on OOC level just to tell me about the mechanical things. I recall the situation with Vichal W. Smith converting from Cyric to Tyr. He was given the widget. Anytime he tries to use his spells, a lightning would struck upon him. Is DM supervision needed at all?

Oh, you want the Fall tool?

That is easy to achieve. You hit up a DM about your PC's conversion going on. You can just ask for one of them to drop the Fall tool on your inventory.

When you are roleplaying, send a message on the DM's channel to tell them to take a look whenever they can, but RP without worrying whether or not they are watching.

You can also either write on PC Story about the conversion as it happens in game, or make screenshots.

In my case, I did a mix of Roleplay and Texts and got the Fall tool after I asked about it.

You can also RP without having the Fall too. You just do things without casting spells.

"lie" is a strong word and I would recommend against saying things like that again on the forums. I said "I don't recall".

If you need the Fall widget, just ask a DM.

Yeah I did so. I left a link in my first post on this topic. It is not for me, but for the guy we are converting to Lathander. I was just wandering if I need anything special to do so. Thank you for a great answer.

I was also wandering on the lore about it. Like how do you know that deity accepted you? How do you re-achive your powers etc. I though that DM was needed for that. That is why I posted this topic. It is easy to shift from good deity to evil or from evil to evil. It is hard for a murderer to shift from worshiping one of the Demon Lords to worshiping goodie such as Lathander is. I hope that you understand my point and question.

Mechanically or technically speaking, Atonement/Quest spells can help, though those are PnP spells.

Currently, I am on a break. But what I was doing back then was RPing with players of the faith, learning more about their faith. Then, unless if I was positively certain a DM was watching, I would send a PM to a DM giving a short OOC report of what I had been doing.

You only truly need a DM if the conversion needs an alignment change and for the time you will swap your deity 'OOC' by having it changed on your deity field.

Until that time comes you can keep doing as I already suggested. RP, send a note on the DM channel to come take a look if they can, keep RPing whether or not a DM is watching and when you think enough time was past, ask a DM if he can stop by to make an alignment change and a new deity binding.

EDIT: Oh, right. The PCs making the conversion can always add some flavour by RPing some sort of party or ritual once the other PC was fully converted. Also, as the conversion goes on, they can always hand IC tasks to the player as a way to show he is truly wanting to change, to test their true intentions.

Thanks a bunch! I didn't know about the atonement spell. This was "that something" I was asking in the beggining of the topic. This PnP spell will come great in the finish of the convertion. Suggestion with the IC tasks is also a good thing. I will have to think about something worhty. For now, other paladin and celebril decided to have him travel with them so that he could learn from the first hand about the way and eventually get his own chance to help. Once again thank you very much. :D

Bleh, and now the IC is tainted by your OOC knowledge and insistence upon solid methodology, instead of simply RPing as your character would have, and finding out IC.

Does this not say something to you, Tormie? They were already doing something about it.

Either way, I did not know my suggestions were being disruptive or some such. I was trying to help. >.<
