Even if the militia does not deem this proof enough, consider the case of Ray Rodgers. He has ever been a thorn in the side of Bendir Dale, both attacking its residents and bragged about it, Sally Torrowfire being one of the victims in question. If the captain or the general would like to speak to me privately about anything more, I'd be happy to meet with them.

All 12 months have 30 days, so to convert it from our calendar simply pick the nearest solstice/equinox or cross quarter day (mid-season) to your birthday and count the number of days from it. Then find that solstice/equinox on the calendar and add the number of days to that, up to 30.

I have heard that I have been listed among the Banites. This is FAR from the truth. I am NOT a Banite, I follow Corellon. I would like this slanderous claim removed, as I have no desire to be associated with, and am repulsed, by the Banites. I have not broken a single rule in the Dale.

We have undertaken a project to reclaim the land north of the river that many mistake as not ours. We are starting with clearing the cave for forges and more homes and hope to move on to erect walls, a bridge, and plow fields.

The dwarves of Barak Runedar are dealing with the first part: the clearing of the cave. They need oak, ironwood, and granite to fortify their work, however, as well as gold for their time and energy put in to help us make the Dale a better place.

I am setting up a locked, safe place for the supplies not far from the work area and all supplies and funds donated should be given to me so that I can safely store them.

So! We need your aid, residents and friends! Seek out Swift of Bendir Dale and give any supplies, funds, or ideas for betterment of the Dale to her. Only with your help can we see this dream become a reality!

I write to you a second time. I am a priest of Oghma who hails from Cormyr and now resides on Khem. I have heard of your wonderful education program, and it has touched my heart.

It is both my god-given duty and personal pleasure to volunteer as a teacher in your school. Whenever you find a suitable time, I shall be happy to come lecture on a variety of subjects to the folk of Bendir. My field of expertise lies in history, geography and folklore, but I can also hold introductory courses in traditional bardcraft, theology, rhetorics and philosophy, to name a few subjects. I am also an accomplished scribe, should the knowledge of one such be required.

I have been in contact with the Mayor's Office to organize a meeting, but it appears that someone confused schedules and I did not find anyone upon my arrival. I would like to collaborate with local teachers to organize lectures at the same time as other education takes place. I know there is desire for another one but a lot of IC plot-related things might make it difficult to do in Bendir Dale again. Johanna and the Harlequins would very much like to hold another one but in another appropriate place. Probably moreso than Bendir Dale (though the evidence for its appropriateness might not be clear to most of us).

Anyway, I am thinking that perhaps having a "mobile" festival might be fun. Starting out in bendir dale and having a march/convoy across land and sea to Ceyren's Mill, Caraigh.

I'm willing to hear opinions and suggestions from all of you Bendir Dale players.

Also, (mainly to any harlequin players) I would also like at least one volunteer to work with me on this as I am not going to be in game as much as I was last year.

Looking for a Secretary of Education

Bendir Dale is currently looking for residents interested in being in charge of the schoolhouse and the teachers in it. We have had more and more teachers interested in teaching at the school and currently have no standards to judge their abilities and what they should teach.

Madock Digger has taken on the job temporarily, but it is not his job and he would like to divide the labor. He asks that any residents interested leave him an application in his office in the Town Hall. Bendir Dale appreciates your willingness to take the education of the youth into your hands.

The application should include a statement about why you feel you should get the job. Specifically it should include your qualifications, including any teaching you've done. Also include your patron diety and any who you respect or revere.
