I've played on a number of non-HAK servers, with many, many more clothing options. Is there some specific reason most of the options have been removed?

my assumption is that they are CEP 2 servers, while not technically a hak, CEP 2 is not required for this server.

You can have a look yourself, in your non-CEP toolset. There shouldn't be any armor/clothing pieces missing.

As far as Ive ever been able to tell, theres only a couple of helmet models missing from the crafting menu? The glowing jeweled one, and the jousting helmet...

And a few shields, I think. Reserved for DC requests. But all the armour and clothing parts are there.
ah ok. Must be CEP2 then. Seriously, on the CEP2 servers there are like 50 options per clothing part, rather than the 4 for this, and 28 for that, etc.
>< please...please no. Not because I don't like CEP or can't download it after forever. It's just that I will NEVER STOP CRAFTING.
I've played on hak-inclusive servers with friends and we never got to play because we spent upwards of three hours making our outfits look just so. That or making variations of in town clothing and battle ready wear.
Yes we are fully aware of our sickness and inability to stop.
Please...please don't feed the addictions of hard core clothing crafters like me and Ana- I mean...a few other well known clothes crafting players. *snickers* She got me hooked! Blame her!

While CEP can make an armor Isen would be proud to wear.... I would kill myself trying to get all the parts to mesh right.

CEP 2 is a proper hak, btw, at least reading the NWVault information.
hmm, i always just classified it as an official game update, but something not required, like having a server without all expansions required to play.

Well, a hak is a technical term, irrespective of the contents. Either way: you certainly can't log onto a CEP-server without CEP.

It's a hak in the technical sense, yes. And it's not official, if it was it probably would be available for download from BioWare or the game patching thingy, and if it was official, we'd be running it.
