*the following posters and flyers make appearances in most major surface cities, in public locations like markets, temples and shops as well as libraries*
~Amian League for Tolerance~ (ALFT)
Are you sick of seeing racism wherever you go? People being harassed for the colour of their skin, mistreated for their ancestry removed generations past?
Can't you help but wonder why in this day and age, it is acceptable for a drow just walking though a forest path to be ganged up by a group of fanatics? Why some folks presume they have the right to demand a strip search, and respond with violence if their intrusion is refused or met with disapproval?
Why blatant disrespect of tieflings is tolerated, and so many places deny them services or bar them outright, due to their heritage alone? Why innocent until proven guilty does not apply to them, why they need to go out of their way just to appease the bloodlust of the masses?
Why dragonkin keep getting treated no better than monsters, meeting with hostilities, insults and violence whenever they go, having to fear for their lives even if all they want is to live in peace, without prejudice?
Why do certain groups keep getting away with outright murder of the innocents, with committing hate crimes against those of a different race?
The above examples alone are enough to empty the stomach of a decent person, yet, they are just the pinnacle of the iceberg of racism, intolerance and moral failings of our culture.
This has been going on for long enough, and it needs to stop.
The Amian League for Tolerance shall from this day on strive to bring equally to the realm, to help and support the mistreated and abused races, preach tolerance and understanding, and stand up against crimes of hate and passion.
All good folk of Amia are encouraged to stand with us and support this noble undertaking.
Drow, tieflings, dragonkin and many more shall no more suffer unjust treatment from those who consider themselves better due to factors which none of us had the privilege to decide... namely, to who we were born.
Say no to racism. Whether human, drow, dwarf or tiefling, all deserve the same kind of treatment, and the same rights that are granted to all people of the realm.
Say no to hate, leave the past be the past, so we may walk towards a brighter future, together and united.
Say no to needless conflicts, to violence, to murder, so that no more must die for the false beliefs of a few.

*a elf raises a brow and studies the poster*
Yea....i wonder if this person is even from Toril,
*writes below*
ill be sure to keep killing goblins and kobolds and i will never stop hating drow..its not a matter or racial hatred, its not a matter unjust cause, its a matter of survival, its a lifetime of experience that tells me what to do, its the lifetimes of my ansestors, the people ive seen burried killed by the scum of the world.
I slay them to protect others, AND DROWS are not unjustly treated.
Know that their own god of redemption, stays in the darkness of the world because she knows its where the drow deserve to be, they tried to destroy teh world, and they are paying the price, the day the dark seldarine is no more, then i will welcome any drow into my arms as my brother and sister, but it is still there, it is still being worshipped, and followers of the dark maiden.
RETURN TO THE UNDERDARK, REDEMPTION DOES NOT COME BY RUNNING FROM THE DARKNESS, NOR BY POLLUTING THE WORLD WITH FEAR, IF YOU WANT SOMETHING OF US, COME CRAWLING OR BE SEEN AS A ENEMY, FOR YOU ARE DROW, YOU ARE TRAITORS!, YOU ARE MONSTER, YOU WHERE BORN IN DARKNESS AND IN DARKNESS IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE YOU SHOULD BE. GO FIGHT THE FIGHT, BUT WHERE THE FIGHT SHOULD BE FOUGHT, IN THE UNDERDARK!

Those posted in Cordor are met with a mixture of disdain, annoyance, and in some cases - sheer amusement.
Apparently the typical Faerunian human finds the concept of treating monsters as equals outright silly. As expected.

Nelene can be seen and heard, reading the flier slowly, as her literacy is still near-nil, explaining it to the child clinging to her leg.
"Ye see, kitten, folk as ain't Planar, li' you an' me, or dragonborn, li' Daddy or Sasarai, or them nice Drows, li' mister Jud, they is scared'a us, an' they is thinkin' we's all evil."
The auburn haired child, perhaps five years old, is very plainly of tiefling stock, little horns curling from her forehead, claws on her tiny hands. She tilts her head, thoughtful.
"Can't we teach them any better, Mommy?"
Nelene shakes her head, painstakingly adding her name to the poster.
"Ye can' teach them what don' wanna learn, Very. S'gonna be hard fer ye, growin' up. Yer father din' do us na' favours. But I'll teach ye how ter get along."

Mister/Miss Anonymous,
I have worked hard for the friends that I have gained. I have shown them that I'm not like the majority of my kin. I am drow, and the very notion of welcoming any drow with open arms, without regard to the fact that they're drow, is a foolish one. I am Eilistraeen, yes, but I know that there are Lolthites and other drow with dark hearts that can't be swayed from the path of darkness, and they are the drow that cause the rest of us to be treated poorly. It is understandable, and I have no problem with the skepticism and hatred thrown my way, personally.
It is my duty to prove that I, myself, am not like my kin and that the darkness does not take root in my heart as it does theirs. I would never ask others to set aside the truths of this world. Any who do so will surely be taken advantage of and harmed most severely. I hope it doesn't comes to that, and I hope your "endeavor" for "peace" doesn't cause bloodshed of the innocents you manage to coerce.
Yas'da, of House Kenlyl
Postscript- The same goes for any race known for a dark majority.

Unsurprisingly, one of Amia's more 'blunt' rangers can't help but write a reply.
You're an idiot, but I'll do the 'just' thing and extrapolate upon every how and why.
There's a very well known fact about any living creature that has the ability to act with free will, and that's instinct and nature. Very simple factors, these, and every creature is susceptible to it in one way or another - well before social factors are taken into play.
I will of course use my favourite example. Red Dragon blooded individuals. To extrapolate a little further upon this. Draconic creatures by nature possess a certain nature to them which is ingrained into thier minds during the very formation of their bodies. This varies by type, of course, and is the primary reason that different draconic creatures will display extremely consistent, similar, behaviours. From the moment it is born, a Red Dragon (or a creature of this blood) is drawn to wealth and power, and indeed will by sheer nature and instinct work towards these goals with an unrelenting malice. They're vain, territorial, and selfish creatures by pure existance, all factors bred into their minds before they're even born - behaviours that are only refined during life.
A Red-Dragon blooded individual, at least those who actively harness it to a point where it affects their physiology and psychology (Dragon Disciples, of course), will share these behaviours. Simple fact of how the mind works, especially in reference to these creatures. You can attempt to train them, redeem them, and control them - and in extremely minor cases, you may be successful - however the underlying instincts will remain, simply concealed beneath a pathetic venier of 'discipline'.
This goes exactly the same for Tieflings, creatures born of the energies of evil planes, or the very spawn thereof. As long as Abier Toril has existed, this has been the case, and anyone trying to persuade you otherwise is what I like to refer to as an 'Invalid' - A creature that exists only on Amia, whose sole purpose is to attract attention, melodrama, and pity upon itself despite it going against all forms of logic, reason, plausibility, or at common times sheer possibility.
Amia seems to be frequently occupied by these creatures. Red-Dragon Disciples whom share compassion, tieflings who believe in unrequitted love for the world around them and selflessness, earth genasi who dream of the winds, and Celestial-Blooded Aasimar who consider Bane to be the most radiant of all of the deities. Ultimately, these creatures exist soley once again to be an attention-seeking abnormality whose only one, true, purpose is to be impossible and thusly 'unique', 'special', 'interesting' or some other externally percieved wanting for attention and notice from your actually normal peers.
Do not be fooled by these invalids. However, that discussion is neither here nor there;
You claim racism is wrong. Racism is judging a creature based soley upon their race or species. Do you treat dogs as your equals? Spiders as your equals? What about the rats that invade your home one day?
Racism in the context you are using it is flawed for the above illustration. People do not judge based soley upon their race, but instead based upon the consistent, measuable, and natural behaviours of these creatures. Chromatic Dragons hoard gold at any cost, even sparing life to do so, so it is not actually racism to be prepared whenever you see one - instead it's purely logical behaviour because of the fact that chromatic dragons, by psychological nature and components of being that race, will indeed attempt to kill you if you have a sizable amount of worth they can take.
This boils down into one thing;
There is nothing wrong with making a logical assessment of a creature's cultural upbringing, natural behaviours, psychological idiosyncracies, common identifiers and tangible consistencies within a race; and acting as such, whether to protect yourself, or those around you. Dragonbloods will kill for gain if necessary, and thus keeping them suppressed and preventing them from doing so is a method of protection.
You may not like it, but then again;
I'm betting you're one of these invalids.
A person whose existance is only possible due to the illogical, improbable, and impossible nature of Amia that gives it the reputation it has today. A home of the impossible, the implausible, the innane, and the idiotic.

Weston quietly pulls down one of the many posters so that he can take it along to look over during his increasingly usual sea travel. He gets hardly into the second paragraph before skimming to the bottom and ultimately discarding the flier into the first waste receptical when he lands ashore again. Reactions from Cordor's citizens don't surprise him. He shares some of their mindset in how rediculous the entire notion is.
"Oh, Citys are tolerant, Cordor the most so of any still. It's just you have to obey the laws and keep your head down. And then you're all fine and dandy."

It is a provable fact that the so often thrown around stereotypes do not apply to life on the isle of Amia.
One can not deny that our isle is home to red dragon disciples who are not vile, nor would they murder and main others for riches as you claim. Some red dragon disciplines indeed are vain, territorial and selfish. But so are many humans, displaying these traits despite of lacking the draconic heritage. On the other hand, many dragon disciplines have proven to be kind, caring and an asset to the community, and not a threat by far.
One can not deny that on amia, the chance of a drow being evil is the same as of a human or elf being evil. If an individual would be so careful to approach every stranger with mistrust and demand identification, it would be simply his way of doing things. It is wrong to single out drow, when there is just as much reason to assume a member of another race could be a dangerous individual bend on destruction.
The fiendish blood of a tiefling is not something that forces them to behave in an evil way. Much as a human with a temper, it may be an inclination, but not strong enough to warrant the behaviour they often have to meet with. History has proven to us that a tiefling can very well become a paladin, a holy protector of good and justice, while their counterpart, the asimaar can very well turn to ways of evil to attain their goals. Race has nothing to do with this.
Drow are a result of the crown wars, cursed into their current state by priests and arcanists of Correlon. Many use this fact to reason their hatred of the dark skinned elves, as many would claim that the dark skin was the rightful portrayal of their dark hearts. Yet a fact that is often hushed up and would be rigorously denied by elves is that the ritual cast did not work as intended. The curse had not only stuck the intended targets, the Ilythiiri responsible for many atrocities committed during the crown wars, but all dark elves, with no regard for their true nature, intentions, or even their involvement in the war.
So if you are going to claim that the dark curse is the rightful proof of the foulness of drow, think again. Many of the drow alive today are descendants of innocent elves, caught in a crossfire, afflicted with a curse not intended for them. Their dark skin is a result of elven magic, and not a sign of their nature.

A long reply is posted in Cordor, by a young drow wearing the signet ring on his finger. No drow in existence is free of blame from what happened all those years ago in the wars. All of the Ilythiiri, was corrupted by Lolth and the demons, and got turned into Drow.
None are alive today from there that are entirely without blame. The proof of that is that we're born with black skin, as legend say.
I'm the son of Niss'assa. A former drow of Ultrinann. His past deeds down there, and whatever deeds that are done by my other family down there, that I don't know about, are still on me. I'm the result of their actions after all. All I can do is my best to break that circle, like my father did.
Simply because there are those of us at the Shrine of Eilistraee or other places, that are not evil hearted and seek your destruction at every turn, does not mean you should change peoples perspectives of this.
If things were as you wish it, the Lolthites of the dark would be free to roam the surface as "equals" in the eyes of everyone. Getting easy access to many many people. All drow were banned from Cordor, because many were taken down to the Underdark, either forcefully or by nice words. Then captured, tortured and mutilated. Or even sacrificed to the Spiderwench.
Those of us whom live up here now, and seek peace. We work hard for it. I've worked hard to be allowed into Cordor, to get respected by others who normally hate all drow. There is a lot of worth in hard work. It is similar to the honest and hard work that farmers do.
If people treat me nice, it should be because I've earned their trust, not because they trust all drow whom claim to be good. Because that would put them at risk. IF at any point, my existence is used as some sort of selling point, where everyone are to be treated as equals. I will work against that.
I will rather be harassed daily by people, because of my skin. Than have them trust the wrong drow.
If you want peoples respect automatically, then you should also know that it's nearly never given, even if you're an elf or a human. It's EARNED.
Stop complaining, and start working to be respected and earn it trough hard work. I did. And that's why I can post this reply here, in the middle of Cordor's streets. Because I respect that Cordor can do as they please. They own this land. This city. Just as Wharftown own their lands. And Winya owns their.
If you dislike their laws and ways of living, then leave. You're free to do so. And when you're in their lands. follow their laws and norms. It's only proper and respectful. It's showing the respect you're demanding.
The only day that all drow should not be feared, is the day that all drow are dead. And the rest of us have proven ourselves for everyone.. and become something other than the label "drow". It's short for Dhaerow.. or Traitor in common.
No good hearted drow should call themselves Ilythiiri either. Because they were evil from the get go. Before they were completely turned. They made deals with devils and demons, and waged wars.
Those of us who walk the land of light with benign intentions should really not be called Drow or Ilythiiri at all. But such things are hard to break really.
If you want to change people, start with yourself and how you act towards others and how you seem to demand everyone to treat everyone as YOU want them to. It's somewhat arrogant really.. Just like a Banite want everyone to Fear them, or a Cyricist want ...whatever they want.
People have a right to be who they are, and think what they think. If you want to change it, start with yourself, and do your best to get others to see it your way trough persuasion.. Not trying to cause some sort of angry mob.

// Don't expect to find him (Arcane Vixen) IG, btw. It's Zante subverting his ban. Again. Thus making his expulsion ever more permanent. //
A provable fact that the often thrown around stereotypes do not apply to life on the isle of Amia.
I shall hereby disprove it.
Drow Raids have been performed with a high kill ratio numerous times in the Elven Township of Winya Ravana, commiting extensive acts off mass murder, destruction, and in one attempt - outright consecration of a religious non-combat structure. These attacks have happened rather frequently.
Similarly, the townships of Amia's western coast also suffer sporadic raids - not that most adventurers care, due to being so content within their little box that is Cordor - the last of which killed a significantly large amount of the population. Go to these townships or look up your history (assuming you have any understanding of the past) and you will find this for yourself.
Amia Forest has attempted to be burned down numerous times as well, as I'm sure many know, indeed they tried to do so under the guise of the Kossuthans during the recent events. Not that any of the so-called 'true rangers/druids' were around to stop it. It was only prevented by wandering civilians.
I can of course compare this to the actions of outwardly evil organizations. Temple of Bane, obviously, whose pride and joy was taking over Wharftown under an iron fist for a while, the Horsemen doing toll booths, the Red Wizards burning down a single orphanage...
Ultimately, Drow of the underdark are a significant threat, and there's more of them than there are 'good' drow. And they are becoming brilliant actors. At my last headcount, there were a mere twelve individuals actually present at the Shrine of Eilistraee - Note, I provide security for this party myself and thusly have a rather 'close' observation of them - and another ten or so who aren't around but somehow find the time to post on public notices to proclaim their points when they can never be found actually on the Isle of Amia existing.
Compare this to the City of Ultrinnan's population, whom are strictly Lolth and Selvetarm worshipping. I'll simply include houses, however, as they are the parties who act upon the surface - Fifteen Kil'ani, Twenty one Tinnerai, Five or Six Vandree, Twenty six Xull'd'Vharcan. This is before considering the houseless drow that tag along, and civilian population, and military forces.
As you can see, this number is significantly larger than the surface drow population.
If you consider the primary mass-murderers of Amia, the significant majority of them are dragon blooded in some regard. Abo, mass murderer, and a self proclaimed "Cordor South Slasher" is a blue dragon blood unsurprisingly enough. Wagnard? Red Dragon blooded murderous sorcerer.
Yes, there are significant examples against the norm, and these are again what are known as Invalids. Creatures who, once again, only exist due to an external entity of unknown origin deciding that there should be individuals on the Isle who make absolutely no rational sense in their existance. It is akin to a human painting himself black and claiming he's a drow, when he in fact is an attention seeking moron wanting to be contradictory to what actually is in Abier-Toril, Faerun, and The Great Tree.
What are known as the Humanoid Races of Abier Toril - elves, dwarves, humans, gnomes, etcetera - do have the capacity for significant evil and chaos. However it is not the norm. Walk through the cities of Cordor some time, and instead of considering the attention-seeking adventurers, look at the labourers working hard for their keep, the farmers working for their crops, the scribes working at their desks and the like.
Then consider true Underdark society. A single step to Underport will give you a light, minute example of how things work in Ultrinnan, and the standard of a common person. A Lolthite civilian is just as ready to slaughter at the first sighting of an elf as a highly-trained vanguard.
It's a challenging thing that few adventurers seem to grasp, and that's the social aspect of the realm around them. The machinations, the people themselves, of the world that truly create, nurture, and in some cases destroy the land and those who reside upon it. The civilians.
Which brings me to another point, now that our 'status quo' in regards to monstrous races and density of evil and chaos has been returned and proven through numerical, empiric evidence.
Social norms. You cannot expect a locale that has suffered the aforementioned raids to consider creatures of this type - especially when of the exposure they've had to this race, 90% of it was violent - as 'equal' or 'people'. Individuals whom travel into the Abyss do not consider demons people, often less for what they are, but the fact that every demon will attempt to kill you. It's a basic mental and sociological factor that the sentient mind naturally (and smartly, due to our penchant for sel-preservation) slips into.
We associate common points, whether it be race, religion, culture, or creed - and form a rationally based perspective of these individuals and act as such. Of all of the drow you will see outside of Cordor (where the population is strongly filtered), only one in ten will not be plotting to kill you, and self-preservation and survival will smartly tell you that a 10% chance is never a good one.
That 10% will have its chances to prove itself, as individuals such as Jud'Vardas Kenlyl, Im'kiira Al'nuar, and Reh'Cra Salenor have done so time and time again. And you will find these individuals are not accosted for this very reason, simply because they accept, understand, and rationailze the behaviour towards their race and instead of attempting to claim the other person is wrong - simply works with it and attempts to persuade them that they are a member of the minority.
The common man who has grown up with his city raided by drow, his friends and family murdered by dragonkin, his crops burned by goblins and his oxen thieved by Kobolds, is naturally - and rightly - going to treat these races with disdain.
Every creature may have the capacity for evil, however only invalids, and the ignorant, will fail to understand that there are races who are extremely strongly drawn to evil, and in some cases are in every case.
Those who do not understand Abier-Toril, or the mainland Faerun, are those who make these insolent, ignorant, and idiotic claims - and often end up dead.
As for the "Innocent until proven guilty" - I have no understanding of what culture you claim to be from, however there is no city in the entirety of Amia, Faerun, Maztica, Kara-Tur, or outlying islands that will follow this - because it is a foolish, flawed, and inherantly self-destructive system when it is so easy to conceal and hide information or 'evidence'. Instead, reasonable guilt, cause, or situational evidence is enough to judge by, both legally and sociologically.

I think I'll rest the defense with "You're applying logic to already-fantastical things and wondering why it doesn't stick". It's like trying to tie up a river.

"I would agree with this, we should not meet anyone we do not know with open arms, but we should treat all equally unless they have proven themselves Anarchistic or evil to those around them, we should simply spread the word of those who are corrupt and destructive, and leave those of all races alone unless circumstances prevent such.
